This update was a long time coming, but includes some pretty complex changes to help future-proof the project and make a more user friendly experience
Changelog:
  • Pulverizer now has an option to determine whether or not ores should be duplicated
  • EMP's now affect nearby energy networks, by fully draining their stored energy and disabling the machines
  • Custom foods now work in the lunchbox
  • Items can no longer be drag-clicked into empty slots of the lunchbox
  • EMP's now disable armor modules
  • recipes.yml entirely reformatted, to use a new shape system. This allows for 2x2 recipes (in inventory), or rectangular recipes that can be anywhere in the crafting grid. This means that any custom recipes you currently have will be reverted to their default counterparts to fit in the new recipe format, so take a backup prior to updating if necessary
  • HUD precursor is no longer dispatched constantly, flooding the ActionBar
  • Using the "/space give" command with an amount argument will no longer change the amount provided in crafting and the space guide
  • Renamed lunchboxes now work
  • Renamed g-boots now work
  • "broken" space items can no longer be placed
  • Atomiser is temporarily disabled, but will be re-enabled soon.

It is important you read below when updating to this version:
Hi everyone. I've finally solved the problem with blocks having fixed textures by switching over to a new ArmorStand based system. This is much more dynamic and should allow for further expansion of the energy system in space (Especially adding room for new power sources in future updates)
Due to such a large change, I'd HIGHLY recommend you take a backup of your "machines.yml" before loading this version into your server.

  • Furnace, dispenser, dropper, etc now use artificial blocks as opposed to solid blocks so their default counterparts do not need replaced textures

The lunchbox can store food that it is provided with as calories which are automatically fed to the player, so that you don't need to keep eating. Higher value foods such as cooked meat have more calories and so last longer. It also provides a saturation bonus of 3.

Custom foods
Three new items have been added to the game:
  • Baguette - Restores 7.5 hunger
  • Spam - Restores 8 hunger
  • Canned Beef - Restores 8 hunger
Custom enchantments
A new enchantment "Void Traversal" has been added to help you and your players navigate in planets with minimal gravity and / or Orbit. It is obtainable only on boots with a level 25+ enchant and has a 10% chance. Read more about it and see how it works on the space wiki.

Hard mode
In space hard mode, players can only survive using oxygen masks and tanks, space suits, or machines. Been inside an area of size 20x20x20 will no longer be automatically pressurised and safe.

Command changes
/Stationtp has been replaced with /station

Multiple items per craft
While it is configurable what and how many items do, some items (Such as wires) will produce multiple outputs per craft. For example, making what would be one wire before, will now produce 8 wires.

Rocket changes
Rockets now have a configurable 10 second countdown, and you must stay inside them for the whole journey for the GUI to open to change planets at the end

Grappling hook
The grappling hook has been added to space to help traverse in microgravity environments. The hook MUST land before it is pulled in to have any effect

Fireproof upgrade
Space suits can now be made fireproof if the module is bought within the modular workbench

Regular Minecraft swords now display correctly

Somehow, during the many past updates of energy and electricity, and all of my bug fixes, it has slipped under the radar that machines, pipes, and wires alike are NOT unloaded when their respective chunk is. This has led to space becoming, essentially, a big chunk loading plugin.
I'm pleased to say this is now fixed. You'll need to either reset your config.yml, or add the following:

Texture-Base: 1234567 # Alternate textures are Texture-Base + 1 and Texture-Base + 2

This will allow you to change the texture meta base value that items have if you are creating your own custom resource pack or have texture pack conflicts with another plugin

The texture pack now has over 40 custom models for space items

Rockets are now a more refined and textured design, working smoother and more elegant than before. It is possible to use legacy rockets if you don't want to use the resource pack (Toggled in the config.yml)

New items added: Refiller (Refills oxygen tanks in oxygenated atmospheres), CO2 scrubber (Enhances oxygen tank lifespan), wrench (Measures system energy and oxygen by clicking on a wire or pipe).

The matter transmutator has also been removed. Space items are now crafted in a regular Minecraft workbench.

Generator customisation
The world generator can now be entirely customised! This can create basic moon landscapes, or intense and difficult mountains, or even a flat world! A few screenshots are attached below. All blocks can be customised. Mining iron ore also has a 0.5% chance of dropping an aluminium ingot when in the Space world (Has to be naturally generated)

Batteries
Generators can now function without the use of an electricity system, instead, by using batteries. To use batteries, place a chest below the generator with a battery inside and then it will automatically switch to battery power if the generator has no power or is not linked to an electricity system.

Emergency kit
The emergency kit is a simple but useful item. It can be used to quickly gain the resources to survive in space temporarily. When clicked, it will give the user full Voyager 1 armour, a stone sword, stone pickaxe and 3 apples.

Gravity changes
A new option has been added to orbit, allowing for more realistic gravity which preserves velocity.
Gravity will now affect animals and mobs.

Item physics
Gravity now affects items, causing them to float when dropped. Crouching will throw the items and make them travel faster.
Projectile physic changes
Projectiles (EG: Arrows, snowballs, potions) will now travel at a slower pace and not be affected by gravity.
Errors fixed with fuel cell system.

In this update, the charging station has been added. This allows you to recharge a fuel cell using a block of redstone. Fuel cells now also are not consumed on use, but only lose power.

In this update, I have added an auto-updater. This will notify players with the permission "Space.Update" if the plugin has a newer version on join. This can be disabled in the config.yml but it is recommended that you use it.

Features
Passive mob preventer to disable the spawning of passive mobs in the space and orbit worlds (EG: Pigs, cows, chickens, etc)

Time lock to lock the time to a specified and configurable time (So you could have space or orbit always night optionally). Both space and orbit can have individual time locks.

Loot drops
Loot drops are a new and exciting feature added to space. Consisting of random space items and configurable items, a loot drop with drop in the primary space world every 30 minutes by default but it is configurable in the config.yml!
Command added:
/Dropcrate
Permission: Space.dropcrate
Usage: /Dropcrate

Description: Allows a crate drop to be forced.
