Includes some quality-of-life updates:
  • Updated message formatting to include currency symbols. When you update your currency symbol in Essentials now, HeadHunter should use the same symbol in messages.
  • Added a config option to change the display name color on heads (head.format.title-color). This option is the color code following the & in normal color formatting. By default this is set to '6', so head titles will be &6, which is gold.

A few bug fixes in this update:
  • Fixed a bug that let vanilla wither skeleton skulls drop in addition to HeadHunter skulls.
  • Reduced default looting effect from +8% per level to +5% per level (now adds 15% to the drop chance at Looting 3). If you already have HeadHunter installed, you will have to manually change this in config.yml.
  • Wither skeletons now use default wither skeleton skull items (instead of player head items). This will allow you to get the Advancement for picking up a wither skeleton head while using HeadHunter, and will allow you to spawn the Wither boss with HeadHunter heads.

Found and fixed a bug that had the potential to cause severe lag when entities were killed by fire.

Details:
HeadHunter must keep track of what player sets other entities on fire, so that it can drop their heads if they die from fire damage. This change also makes it so that fire damage caused more than one minute ago will not be attributed to the player that caused the fire damage. In most cases, fire damage will not last a full minute. This change is simply to limit any lasting impact HeadHunter has on the server's runtime.

This HeadHunter update is meant to bring the plugin back up to speed. To install, please delete your old HeadHunter data. You'll lose your signs and placed heads, and you'll lose your bounties as well, unless you follow the new installation instructions.

  • New heads
  • Commands are simpler and straightforward
  • Added heads that steal their values from the victim when they are sold, rather than when they are dropped (these heads will be marked with a percentage sign on their value tag).

  • Overhauled the entire plugin. It is much cleaner and much nicer to navigate now, thank you all so much for your patience.
  • Renamed HeadHunter's custom events. I sincerely apologize for this change, but I also changed how the events are separated, and how they work.

Please Read:
This update is certainly not what I had hoped it would be. Recently my computer was seemingly infected with some form of virus, and for safety I decided to abandon half of this update. I removed wanted boards temporarily, because they were causing unexpected issues. Everything in this update has gone untested, however, and I will not be able to provide support until my computer is clean. If you aren't keen to use an untested version of HeadHunter, I recommend reverting to version 3.3a.

Lastly, I'm sorry the update ended up like this. This doesn't meet any of my standards either. Please continue to support the plugin in rough times like this, and I'm sure we'll pull through in no time!

Version 3.4 Changes:
  • Added Rabbit, Wolf, and Guardian mob heads.
  • Changed how mob head drop limitations work (from spawners and eggs).
  • Added custom GUI slot numbers and icon lore flexibility. You can now split most lore lines with two consecutive semicolons (";;") to start a new lore line.
  • Fixed bug that caused the GUI total sale value to not update.
  • Added maximum value option for dropped heads. If the value of the dropped head is less than the amount specified, the head will be treated as though it's worth $0.00.
  • Added wanted boards.
Known Problems:
  • Wanted boards are currently a bit touchy. For a currently unknown reason, wanted boards will not survive a server restart. If your server restarts frequently, I recommend waiting until I can get this bug ironed out to add wanted boards to your server.
