LevelProgression is a plugin that controls the natural progression of the game with the objective of providing a better and longer experience while keeping the essence of the vanilla Minecraft.
Between the features you will find a new sistem of classes and abilities that unlocks the usage of well-known tools as well as new exclusive interactions depending on your level.
The main menu for upgrading yourself and getting the information of your level can be access by right-clicking with a stick on your opposite hand.
Further explanation can be find just by playing.
Warning! This plugin is designed to be the main plugin in a server, it might cause compatibility issues with other plugins.
Craftings
This plugin changes some mechanics of the original Minecraft making experience more valuable. For that purpose, two crafting recipes for the Experience Bottle were added:
There are some additional crafting recipes for special items like the “Life Insurance”. This item will allow you to keep your inventory when dying and can still be used as a normal totem. The objective of this item is to encourage players to explore beyond their limits and fight fearless.
Another custom item is the “Disgusting Onion”, which is used to clear wild zones (Check the section
Wild Zones for more information) just by eating it while standing on a wild zone. It can also tell you if the zone is already cleared.
The last custom item is the “Extremely Poisonous Potato”. When consumed, all the abilities of the player will be set to 0 (you’ll be left just like you started your journey in the server). However, the player will get half its levels back (Check the section
Limitations for more information).
Limitations
In order to achieve a longer experience and fomenting team work, plenty of Minecraft original mechanics were “limited”, this means, you will need to gain experience and upgrade certain roles in order to unlock features. This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to use these features, this only means that all stages of the game WILL HAVE to be experienced almost fully, expanding the gameplay.
You can have access to all the information about the locked and unlocked features in a menu opened when clicking while holding a stick on your opposite hand. This menu is also used to max your roles.
Between the limited features you can find:
-All armours except the chainmail set
-All tools except hoes and wooden tools (this includes swords, axes, pickaxes, shovels, bows and crossbows)
-Enchantment tables and brewing stands
-Using boats, riding horses, riding striders, using elytra and opening shulkers
-Talking with villagers
-Taming dogs
-Shields
-Tridents
-The food you can eat (yes, there’s food you can’t eat if you don’t have enough level)
-The enchantments you can use
-Entering the End (minimun level can be modified)

In order to unlock these previous features and
obtain some new ones (all roles have new cool mechanics explained in the “Unlocked” in-game menu), levelling up roles will be necessary. There are 8 main roles (with a max level of 300) and a small one (with a max level of 50):
-Adventurer: levelling up this role will allow you to use boats, ride horses and striders, use elytras, open shulkers, use golden and leather armour sets, talk with villagers, tame dogs, eat some types of food and use certain armour enchantments.
-Wizard: levelling up this role will allow you to use enchantment tables and brewing stands, eat some types of food and casting spells.
-Soldier: levelling up this role will allow you to use all the swords of the game and use certain enchantments.
-Archer: levelling up this role will allow you to use bows, use crossbows and use certain enchantments.
-Shieldman: levelling up this role will allow you to use all armours of the game, use shields and use certain enchantments. It will also increase the maximum health given by armours.
-Aquaman: levelling up this role will allow you to use tridents and use certain enchantments
-Miner: levelling up this role will allow you to use all pickaxes and shovels in the game and use certain enchantments
-Lumberjack: levelling up this role will allow you to use all axes in the game, tame dogs and use certain enchantments.
-Food: levelling up this small role will allow you eat all food in the game.

Wild Zones
The objective of the plugin is to encourage players to explore and fight as a team, but going always in group sometimes makes the game way to easy. Having that in mind the Wild Zones were added.
A wild zone is just a chunk that has “enemies” hidden on it. Each 200 seconds (with the default configuration) all players have a chance of “showing up” all the hidden enemies in the chunk the player’s standing. If there’s more than one player in a chunk when the enemies are “showing up”, the number of enemies will increase.
This enemies will have different potion effects and max life depending on the level of the player who “showed them up”: the more level a player has, the more max life and effects the enemy will have (a level 10 player might spawn a common zombie, a level 100 player might spawn a zombie with resistance, and a level 300 player might spawn a zombie with resistance II and strength I).
Once all enemies show up in a zone, it will not spawn enemies any more, therefore, that zone (chunk) is not wild any more.
The Disgusting Onion is used to force enemies to show up and cleaning bigger zones without waiting for the enemies to show up naturally.

Bosses
Each time a monster (or a fish) spawns naturally (now with a spawner) in the overworld, it has a small chance of spawning an Evil Spirit. Killing this little boy with a physical attack (this means an arrow won’t work for example) will spawn a boss depending on the biome it’s in.
There are four main bosses:
-Sea Spirit: spawns when killing an evil spirit on the sea.
-Sand Spirit: spawns when killing an evil spirit on any dessert or hot biome (it can’t rain in those biomes).
-Ice Spirit: spawns when killing an evil spirit on any cold biome (it snows instead of raining).
-Earth Spirit: spawns when killing an evil spirit on any other biome.
Each boss has different special attacks and despawns if all players are too far away for a while. The level of the boss is the same of the evil spirit’s killer. The more level the boss has, the more life it will have.
Loot: All bosses will drop “ability experience bottles” depending on their max health (which also depends on the boss level… and that depends on the player’s level). When drank, these bottles will give 500 of ability experience each (they don’t give normal Minecraft experience). Furthermore, killing a 100+ boss will drop a special item: there are four bosses and each one has 2 possible item drops, making a total of 8 possible items. Each item belongs to a specific role and can only be used if the player has 100+ levels on that role.

Main Mechanics
The main mechanic added by the plugin is a parallel system of experience called: ability experience.
How to get ability experience:
-Each time you get normal experience, you’ll also get some ability experience (“XP”). In the default settings, a single normal experience point equals 5 ability experience (You can change this value in configuration).
-Some blocks will also give you ability experience when you break them, even though they don’t drop normal experience. For example, if you are not a 100+ miner dirt and grass will give you 4XP, stone will give you 6XP, deepslate will give you 8XP and netherrack will give you 1XP. Wood will always give you 7XP (You can disable this feature in configuration).
-Killing Bosses will drop ability experience bottles, they can be used to increase your level really fast and store XP in huge amounts.
-Killing other players. Every time you die you will lose all your XP (but you’ll keep the rest). If a player killed you, he will be rewarded the XP you lost. And finally, if you have 15+ normal experience levels (normal experience, the green one) each level will also give your killer an extra amount of ability points. And be aware! Every time you increase your normal experience level, there’s a small chance of telling all other online players how much experience you’ll be giving if someone kills you.
Levels and Ability points:
Each time you get to 1000 XP (ability experience), that experience will be used to increase your level in one. Each time you gain a level, you’ll also obtain an ability point, which can be used to increase the role level in the in-game menu this plugin adds (remember you can open it with a stick).
The maximum reachable level with the default configuration is 700 (You can change this value in configuration).
