AMAZING plugin, FANTASTIC support
When I first purchased this plugin I fell in love with al its features- even though I'm only using it in simple mode it has fulfilled all my needs and went above and beyond

I only had one issue with it at first, which is that the support for certain Floodgate prefixes was not working BUT as soon as I informed the mod developer they released a version with a fix in lightening speed
it was very clear they really care about this product and I am a happy customer for it ^^

Now, I think the plugin is perfect as is- but I do have a wish-list of features that I hope the plugin author finds potentially interesting!

Features:
- Ability to enable full or partial refund for chunks - scenario: Imagine a player purchased a few chunks, but they would like to relocate them, being able to refund the chunks and use the funds to claim chunks elsewhere is useful!
- Discount permission nodes - scenario: Imagine certain ranks having a fixed or a percentage discount on their chunk claim costs, this would serve as an additional incentive for players to seek higher ranks

That said, thank you SO SO much for all the amazing work you put into this :D

Functionality? Absolutely top-notch. It works exactly as it should and offers plenty of useful features that I appreciate on my server. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say.

Why? The author is completly unresponsive

I encountered a critical issue—the plugin randomly disables database saving or some similar crucial function. After a while, my console shows logs like this:

[21:37:25 INFO]: [com.zaxxer.hikari.HikariDataSource] ConnectionPool - Shutdown completed.

Once this happens, the plugin becomes completely unusable. I’ve reached out to the author multiple times, seeking help, and what did I get? Nothing! No response, no support, no sign of any effort to address the problem.

I can't even access his Discord server for support because I’ve been banned—all because I refunded his plugin in the past. Clearly, holding grudges is more important to him than providing proper support for paying customers.

The user took part in leaking the plugin to an illegal site and therefore was banned AND refunded. Some time later they purchased the plugin again for whatever reason. The issue they're having with the plugin is likely the result of something they downloaded from an illegal site. You can even find their profile on these illegal sites with the same username...

I absolutely love it!!
Everything works great and the customization is amazing!! The only issue I have is that it does not allow geyser floodgate players to make claims when using prefixes such as + or ~ or anything that is not alphanumeric
This means that you’re forced to disable the geyser floodgate setting for prefix and stick to alphanumeric names, which can cause conflicts between Java names and Bedrock names

I plead with the author to please allow players with special characters in their name to claim lands

Previous update broke all claims, deleting them entirely. Couldn't figure out how to restore even with reverting to previous version. No sort of help message put out and discord help didn't give a solution. This plugin should be free if this is the type of support and update quality released to users who paid. I'm switching to the free GriefPrevention plugin from now on for safety and quality assurances.

It's a really great plugin, I love it, but unfortunately I don't understand why i can't just download the language files or why they aren't automatically installed right away. I have now verified myself on the Discord and since then the /translation command no longer works, so I have no access to the language files. When I wasn't verified yet, the bot at least responded to the command, but I had to be activated first. For this price, this is far too inconvenient for the user. How do I get the language files now?

So, first to the plugin. The plugin is really cool and offers a huge list of features. I bought this plugin for my SMP server.

I already own other plugins and have never been disappointed.

But now to my actual request. Today I wanted to join the Discord again for a long time, because I wanted to look at the translations for this plugin and had to realize that I was banned there with my main account. I think I was banned by the support server because I was hacked on Discord a long time ago and sent scam links. But that must have been a few months ago. Anyway, I tried to join with my 2nd Discord now, which worked, but I can't write anything, because you have to verify yourself with Spigot. Likewise, you can't send the developer a friend request, let alone write something via DM, which is why I now feel compelled to post something here in the hope that the developer will see it. At least he responds to every review here, which is also quite rare on Spigot. Well, it would be nice if my main account "trophyhunter" which is linked to this spigot profile could be unbanned.

My old discord has been hacked. And the creator of this plugin refuses to verify my new discord account. Because since its bot, the spigot account is already linked to another discord account. Definitely better than your average claim plugins because it has features that work similar to Factions, Skyblock, and other gamemodes in Lands that make you shed a tear for how amazing this plugin can truly be once you study the configurations.

If you want "land management with GUIs" this is the plugin you're looking for.

I do wish there were more teleport related settings (and if they could be a tad more clear), but there are A LOT of options, and a determined enough person could probably get whatever they want configured exactly how they'd like.

This is the most powerful player claim plugin I've found. It remains intuitive for players despite all the features on offer.

It's a really big plugin and a lot of the features didn't suit my server, but the configuration system allows you to really configure everything down to the last detail, so it fits your server perfectly. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on the initial configuration, but that's not really a flaw.

The plugin works great, but the fact that the 'verification' for translation for a bought-plugin and the hole fiasco due to the minecraft skulls forced me to give it a low review once again.
Settings arent saved and reset after many ours on extra work. That is really extrem annoying and frustrating. There is in addition no real support on the discord.

Been attempting to obtain a verification role for this plugin, bought the plugin ages ago don't remember with what PayPal email and the developer refuses to verify my account manually. Wasn't planning on leaving a 1 star, but unfortunately no other choice to take it this route.

On the other hand, the plugin itself is perfect I have used this on countless other servers and I would recommend it on that part. The entire problem right now is just the way the developer acts towards it's buyers by not showing any form of understanding of a situation.

Developer clearly said they don't "question" the fact that I bought the plugin but claims it's not possible to manually verify a user.

I love this plugin. 1000/10. The configuration files were a breeze to set up. Everything just works. My only complaint is that it does not support Xaero's Map mod for visualizing and claiming. Der Kauf, die Installation und das Vornehmen von Einstellungen erging alles ohne Probleme und war einfach zu verstehen.

Allerdings ist das Prozedere eine ordentliche Übersetzung zu bekommen, absolut furchtbar und sinnlos verkompliziert worden.
Zu allem Übel funktioniert dann nicht einmal die Übersetzung.

Daher sehe ich mich dazu gezwungen, nur 3 Sterne zu vergeben.

Hi I thought I would come back and revise my old 2-star review. When I first tried Lands, I was pretty new to running Minecraft servers. I didn't quite get it, got frustrated went with what I could figure out (a half configured mess) and it plagued me for years, so I came and left a low rating about 2 months ago. But after the author pointed me back to the docs, I gave it another shot.

Turns out, Lands isn't the kind of plugin you can understand in a glance. It's deep, and it demands some time to figure out. But that's fair, right? After all, it's a huge part of your players' experience.

So, two months later, I'm changing my review to a 5-star. This plugin hasn't let me down. It's been solid and totally worth the time I put into understanding it. I'd recommend it, but with one piece of advice: READ THE DOCS. It's a game-changer.

Big thanks to the author for pointing me in the right direction. My one issue is that Lands isn't open source, but all in all, it's a fantastic plugin. Just wanted to update my review to reflect that.

To an extent, I agree with the below review. It is very difficult to learn the plugin, let alone administration/configuration with it. This is good(?) for some advanced admins, which like to customise everything, but for the majority of servers, it is not worth the time investment to customise the several thousand lines of configuration.

My suggestion to fix this issue is to maybe provide admins with a base configuration with only the base features you really need for claiming, and permissions etc.

I regret to say that I will no longer be using Lands for the next major update on my server, but I am satisfied with the quality, performance and support it gives.

TLDR; Good plugin for poweradmins however it is hard to setup and learn.

Gonna have to chime in here, the plugin is not intuitive. It's been the number one complaint on my server for the last 2 years. Nobody understands how to use it and explaining it to people is very difficult.

Once you get the concepts down, sure its easy. But the learning curve is too high for the majority of players on minecraft. This feels like a plugin that suffered from feature creep.

I wouldn't be nearly as critical if the plugin was open source so that I could gut the parts that are irrelevant to my server but that just isn't the case.

The amount of work that has been put into the plugin is without a doubt impressive. But it definitely could benefit from more modularity / being broken out into the core plugin and then optional add ons.

As a server owner it has caused me a ton of pain having to teach this plugin to a ton of different people over the years.

You can disable nearly every feature and make it as basic/easy as you want, if you read the administration wiki. Most servers require an extensive feature set, while others prefer a basic one. You can do both with Lands.

it's great and all, but it's very difficult for users, if only they could be lands with protection stones and when using the stone a gui opens, everything would be perfect, meanwhile it's very complicated to use, it takes about 2 or more days to explain to common users how to use it.

Lands is amazing, it does have a slight learning curve for players, and is a good idea to provide your players with a "help" book when they join for the first time.

This is my opinion, after using Lands, first, the support is incredible, the response is immediate and if you have problems, they do whatever it takes to answer you, I like this a lot.

The plugin is fantastic, it has everything you need, however, for me, it is very inconvenient to be creating territories and guessing how many chunks it is taking, it is also inconvenient to have to work with chunks and not with selection, if you want to select an area and create it , first you must create a land, which is formed with a size of chunks, but as I repeat, for me, it should be that everything is created with the selection tool, because suppose you have a city and you have 20 houses already built, if you want to create a land that occupies a single house, you must create as many chunks as you need for the size of that house, for me this is not pleasant, because I would have to create several chunks, gradually covering the area and the truth is that It is uncomfortable. Once you have created the territory that the house occupies, you can just create an area that covers the exact size of the house and put it up for sale or rent it.

In conclusion, if you are going to use this plugin, use it in a world where everything is EMPTY since if you have a city and your interests are to sell houses, apartments, maybe with this plugin you will have a lot of discomforts to configure the areas.

For everything else, is excellent. Therefore, I give it 5 stars

The plugin does what it promises. Absolutely an upgrade compared to some other free land protection plugins. The developer is really a programming machine, I have rarely seen a plugin developer who responds to requests for additional functions so often and implements them promptly. The support is also good and relatively fast via Discord. All in all, a really well made plugin that I just can recommend.

There are only two points to consider from my side: Sometimes the developer implements so many new features that a bug or two creeps in that could have been found with more testing - but he always fixes everything quickly. The other is that the plugin is (as far as it appears) only dependent on a single developer and is also closed source; if the person is ever prevented from doing development, the project will probably stand still.

But overall I can't think of much more, so all in all I highly recommend it.

Okay so... I had this plugin for a very long time ( I believe around a year ). Functionality, 10/10, Developer 10/10. This is one of those plugins whose developers is on top of things before they are even requested. Mojang updates? I have seen this plugin being updated to the new version even before people switched to them. I really don't know what else to say but it has more features than I even need and it is highly customizable. ABSOLUTELY One of the best plugins for anti griefing out there. If I were to list everything I like about it I would just copy the Wiki :) The suggestion section on discord seems to be something the developer considers when he releases new updates. Kudos.

Plugin is great n all, but I'm having a big issue with this plugin. Iron golems, wolfs, silverfish, phantoms and vindicators spawn in the world and inside claims when mob spawning and animal spawning is off. I've tried plugins to disable them from spawning, but nothing works. Also when a player makes a new land claim, mob spawning is on and when it's night time, tons and tons and tons of mobs start to spawn. More mobs than there's supposed to be. Does anyone know this problem and had a fix to it. It's very annoying and can't find out how to fix this issue!

Great resource. Worth every penny and then some. Was kinda hard switching from claimblocks to chunks. But 65 chunks equals roughly 7,500 claimblocks if you used griefprevention before. If your looking for a land claiming plugin that uses GUI's and visualization for players to claim, then you found it!

This plugin gets updated very frequently and even if a bug occurs, Angeschossen fixes it in literally half a day. We have been using GP for many years before moving to Lands, its been a rocky couple of days taking their use of a golden shovel away from them.

I have given this a 5-star review because there is a lot of work gone into this plugin and we remain using it today. The GUI is a great feature, the players feel the same way about it.

What I can say, claiming land for a player that knows nothing about this plugin has been a pain and I feel when new players come on they will not know how to protect their land without mod help. Some sort of tutorial for players that may be making a bed, that pops up in chat?

Also extending claims, am I doing this wrong, but I have to /land claim in every chunk after making sure /land view so I can see the border. It seems very tedious and the need to claim a whole chuck seems... unnecessary.

We would like to see some sort of land selection tool that allows us to extend our claims with ease. I hope you do not take this to heart as we are using this plugin and we do like it!

Lands is the greatest claim plugin out there in terms of:
• features (there are a LOT of them)
• configurability (there’s a LOT of it)
• support (it’s fast and superior to that of most other plugins)
• updates (frequent, stable, & feature- and bug-fix-packed!)
• and everything else.

The developer is quick to add almost any feature requested and does anything to improve the plugin with new features, bug fixes, and other improvements.

You can’t go wrong with any of Angeschossen’s plugins, especially Lands and Chest Protect, which are my top picks for claim and block/mob protection plugins.

If you’re considering using another claim plugin, I strongly advise against that. Lands has all the features of other claim plugins and more. It’s a wonderful plugin that’s worth every penny and then some. I don’t regret my purcahse one bit!

I purchased this plugin a while back to support the dev because they're so active in discord and always listening to feedback. Me and my community held off on the conversion from Towny to Lands for a bit and I'll admit I had forgotten about it. To see how far the plugin has come is incredible, and the new update with creating smaller claims inside of chunk claims? Crazy impressed. Absolutely fantastic work on taking this plugin to where it is now, if I could give multiple 5 star ratings at once I would.

Oh and to add, I remember I had requested the original feature of having upkeep (tax per plot that gets taken from the town bank), the feature was added within the next 12 hours. Insane work!

The author is very nice. Active, highly communicative and actually listens to feedback.

The plugin itself isn't bad, and has some cool features, however, it's not very user friendly in my opinion.

I often encountered missing features while using it, which i just took for granted on other plugins like towny and assumed as basic, for example taxes for holding a land or limiting the size of a player's claim based on land number of members.

Also, the user interaction isn't very polished in my opinion. If you just jump on a server with default lands, chances are you'll spend a good chunk of time trying to figure out how to make it work. Something as simple as giving someone else access to claim for your land could prove to be a challenge.

What i'm trying to say, is i'm often conflicted to wether or not to keep it as my claim plugin, and i already have it.

One final note though, the plugin definitely advances at a quick pace, and could end up being great, so definitely watch out for it, but i'm just not sure its worth it right now.

Suggestions and feature requests are always welcome! The features you mentioned are already included: There are taxes for holding a land. Also, there's already a option to limit the claim size by the amount of players trusted to your land.

You can allow others to claim for your land in the menu. Managing your land only requires three commands or the usage of the inbuild GUI menu. Whatever you prefer. /Lands help explains everything you need. Everything is well organized and easy to use. If you have any suggestions, just send them to us. :)

Lands is designed to be very customizeable, you can configure every aspect of the GUI menus and the commands.

I used Skript to tie your lands command to special “enchant table” block that just does the /lands command. It’s in the players kits and if you check out map.mothnet.xyz you’ll see on our dynmap there we use it like crazy and that table and a few claim blocks in the newbie kit is amazing for players to get started and do advanced stuff without any prior knowledge of the plugin. I love it. Best protection plugin.

This plugin really is the ultimate land-management solution. Supreme configuration options and so many nice features that gives your server some professional appeal.

The support is top-notch. I have spent my money on other plugins which the support was lacking. You will find that the support and active development is there with Angeschossen's Lands. This is one plugin I can honestly say is worth every penny.

Favorite features: 1) displays land name upon entering in a very fancy on-screen display. Gives the lands world a whole new appeal. 2) Configurable Grief-Prevention settings that allow players to toggle these settings for themselves, or leave unchangable to players to create a Factions-like gameplay. 3) Create "Safezones" which are customizable by admins to allow any manner of player interactions desired, mob spawn settings, and more.

Features I would love to see in the future: 1) ability to create sub-claims which can be any size and are stackable to be sold, rented, or leased for creating things like hotels, multi-story apartments, and high-rise office spaces. 2) ability to set specific chunks to reset to a prearranged layout. For example, an admin could designate a community garden space which regenerates wheat even when players do not replant seeds, or designated mining areas or war zones that is regenerated automatically after a specified amount of time or if unloaded when players are not around, with all the pre-existing infrastructure. Just thoughts, but ultimately the plugin is great as is!

Lands is a fantastic claim management plugin, it's far less restricting than others available on Spigot and much more user friendly. Players can be in and own multiple Lands, if you want them to or you can restrict it a single one.

Takes away the hassle of requiring your players to remember a ton of commands by making majority of things available via their extensive GUI management system.

The developer of this plugin goes above and beyond to help those that have purchased the plugin, issues have been known to be fixed and updated in less than 10 minutes of being reported. He's open and willing to discuss all feature requests and ideas while often holding discussions on large upcoming features such as the war system currently in development.

I would highly recommend this plugin over other Land management systems out there.

Just so happy the author of this plugin seems to legitimately enjoy people having fun with his plugin.. the lands claim process is weird for most players since its not something in any singleplayer modpack... but this author is able to design a GUI and process that allows players ease of use. its very simple and since i switched to this land claim plugin, i find that i'm not spammed with questions of players asking how to claim land. it seems to be intuitive and thats absolutely perfect!!

and on the worldguard/API/otherplugins hooks side... there seems to be a lot of plugins supporting Lands just like Towny or GreifPrevention.. so i can fully recommend this plugin in most if not all aspects of whatever you need to do. and it supports dynmap.. something towny doesn't even do out of the box.

on top of all of that, the author is super super nice. he's fixed issues and posted quick patches for various issues sometimes almost literally within the hour. he's just amazing.

needless to say, 10 out of 5 stars. absolute. best. claim. system. its worth the money and you will not regret it. i'm happy to show off everything it does if anyone ever wants a server to try it before you buy it: mc.mothnet.xyz

Love this plugin. It does what its supposed to do. its super super player friendly in that you can put chunk claim blocks into a player's starting kit and they'll instinctively know what to do with them! its been the best land claim plugin ever, really. everything about it is customizable and its really really easy for admin to go around helping people when they need it. the author is very active AND has helped me with some issues converting to towny.. very very helpful AND stayed with me to see the issue through until it was completely fixed! if i could, i'd rate it 10 out of 5 stars. its just the best land plugin with the best developer. you really can't go wrong with this. and with dynmap support and i guess i lot of other plugin's including the API in their plugins now.. its actually well enough supported that i'd say hands down this really is the best land claim plugin. period.

Lands was in a rough point for a couple weeks but after dozens of updates it seems safe to say it's now in its best state ever. It is the most logical and useful land claiming/protection plugin I have used. GriefPrevention can be difficult for new players not used to the concept of land claiming on servers. Residence suffers from the same issue. Factions are great for PVP Factions servers but using them for anything else feels out of place.

Angeschossen is super friendly and hands down the most active and responsive dev I've had the pleasure of working with. One of the rare devs that seems to care about his work and customers.

This is by far the most well balanced lands claiming plugin in my opinion. The newest update seems great. The dev worked with me to solve some little bugs before I added it to my production server. Really great support and plugin, highly recommend it.

I think the IDEA of the plugin is good, but the result.. mwah. Lands is a bit too complicated and unclear for a new player. Also, the developer does not work and update the plugin as frequent as he did last year, when i bought it. More simplicity is highly appreciated!

Lands is very easy to use. If you dont want certain features, just disable them in config.
You wanted me to remove features that are needed for most of the other users. Aswell you can disable these.

At first I liked the plugin. Unfortunately, the Gui is quite confused was earlier better. And all the attitudes for visitor member are unnecessary for my part. I was looking for a plugin where you could claim chunks without first creating a Lands. and just friends on a chunk or on any adden can directly. Ansich the plugin is good, but unfortunately nothing more for me. Therefore only 4 stars. Nevertheless, it is a good idea.

Am Anfang fand ich das Plugin gut. Nur leider ist das Gui recht verwirred war früher besser. Und die ganzen Einstellungen für Besucher member sind meinerseits unnötig. Ich suchte nach einem Plugin wo man Chunks claimen könnte ohne vorher ein Lands zu erstellen. und einfach freunde auf ein chunk oder auf alle direkt adden kann. Ansich ist das Plugin gut, aber leider nichts mehr für mich. Daher auch nur 4 Sterne. Trotzdem ist es ansich eine gute Idee.

You don't need to create a land for claiming chunks. Just enable auto land creation in config and set the cost to 0. Also you dont need to use the settings. Just set the defaults in config and you're done. Sounds like you dont know about these settings. You can do all that what you described here. :)

The GUI is very easy to use. Seems like you're the only one with this problem. However if I can help you with your "problem", just PM me.

Idea looks good, author isn't the smartest.

I explained to him my issue (regarding a refund due to version comparability issues, was kind to him, gave him time to think trough what i told him, and he did not end up giving me the refund.

Im not mad that i lost the money but that he simply doesn't understand the fact the he will need to refund some customers for whatever reason. He has this idea in his head that anyone who wants a refund is just trying to get his plugin for free, ridiculous.

Besides any premium plugin that's above 10$ should automatically give cross version support. Just disappointing.

Now i'm a in a situation where i've lost money, and i'm unable to use the plugin i paid for, because i don't plan on updating my servers version any time soon.

Lands currently only supports 1.13.x (it will also support upcoming new versions) and the resource page clearly states that. Please always read the "Tested Minecraft Versions:" line before buying an resource. It's at the top at the page and easy to see. :)

The developer is a very kind and patient guy, he added all my suggested requests and bugs are getting fixed on a daily base. This is the only dev that pushes updates that are not for marketing sales advertisement in a dirty way.

The guy called "TaoCrafter or Blixary" got so much support from the dev even when he refused to speak English in the discord. Lands is stated as 1.13 only and people who can read wont buy it for 1.12.

The dev really deserves a better review than a 2/5 for dropped support because he fixed critical bugs on 1.12 even after he announced the drop.

I tested this plugin a lot before writing a review and I am truly satisfied because this plugin is truly customisable, I have encountered a few problems which mainly were my fault but the developer did always respond and tried everything to help me and find a solution.

The plugin offers a large amount of features. It has a similarity to factions but with a fancy and easy to understand GUI!

The developer is so friendly that I just have to mention him again, he is trying to improve this plugin constantly and also opens his ears for suggestions.

You can use this plugin on PvP or PvE servers with CombatLogX to prevent running from PvP or just have a friendly time in Lands.

For the first time I meet a developer who likes to chat with users of his plugin! It does everything possible to improve its plugin mias also to solve the problem of bug or other problem! I encountered some problem and the minutes that followed I had an update to try to solve my problem! I find it reassuring to have bought his plugin because I know he will be there when needed :) I admit that me who is a streamer on minecraft for the French community I was afraid to have a bad plugin protection of the grounds and this one totally reassure me via his discord. The plugin is superb it brings a lot of things like the tax that can quickly become used for some project;) and I think the plugin will continue to grow with the temp. With all the updates per day its even better! I'am happy that i'd spend my 8 euro's on this plugin. Its well worth it, the support is 100 out of 10 and bugs are almost always fixed in a day! This plugin is a must-have for every survival server and/or factions server!

One suggestion, can you make a GUI item which tells the player "You don't have a land yet. Create one using /land create <Name>" to show up when a player have no lands?

Perfect for land claiming, players can manage fully their lands, add owners, admins or members with the menu included in the plugin. Quite a few options and permissions to easily configure. Also who claim the land can rent by week. Good for any server mode.
Currently working in 1.12 integrated with worldguard and vault.
About the author is kind and very attentive. Keep updating you are doing awesome work. Thanks !
