I've just implemented a way for you to be able to customise the death death effects that players get when they currently haven't selected any in the menu. You are able to also disable this, if you're not wanting to use the default ones.
P.S I know the wiki is not updated at the moment but I am trying to get the time to start finishing it off.

Small update to resolve minor issue with plugin.yml

NOTE: DeathWarden now requires Java 17 to run. If requested enough, a separate version will be released that still used Java 16 for those who are not wanting to update to 1.18 or Java 17.

These work just like the penalties for deaths, where it tries to take money then applies the potions effects if not enough money. But it triggers when a player kills another player.

Just a small update to make it possible to add the XYZ coordinates of the players death into ALL the death messages. Just use the placeholder `%coords%` anywhere in the message and it will print the coords in the format: `X: 123.00 Y: 123.00 Z: 123.00`.

This tiny update just makes is so Ops will require the keepxp and keepinv permissions if they are wanting to use those. They will not get it automatically now.

Just a quick update to fix a small issue where the Death_Messages option was not stopping the death messages from showing when it was set to false.
I have also implemented an option in the config.yml where you can disable the /back command so other plugins will take control of it. All you need to do is open the config.yml and set Register_Back_Command to false and restart the server.

After many days and many hours, I have finally finished re-coding and rebranding the OmegaDeath plugin to DeathWarden. This plugin is a complete re-code.
The reason I wanted to re-brand this plugin is because OmegaDeath had a lot of issues on the code side and there were bugs after bugs being discovered and I was just overall not happy with the code.
When you update to DeathWarden feel free to delete the old OmegaDeath folder as all the files will be now in the DeathWarden folder.
DeathWarden's features are a little more advanced compared to OmegaDeath with means you will be able to get more out of the plugin then you were originally able to.
So please check out the detailed wiki to find a full description of all the features, commands and permissions as everything has pretty much changed. There are some similar features but overall nearly everything has changed in some way or another.
If there are any issues with DeathWarden please let me know by contacting me with one of the support options that I have available.

The accompany this new feature, i have updated the permission `omegadeath.commands.exempt` to:

Hi Everyone,
To go along with the bug fix in the last update, I forgot to change one of the creatures in the rewards.yml
Please either regen the rewards.yml or change "Ender_Guardian" to "Elder_Guardian"
As for the feature update:
You are now able to set a custom timer and amplifier for each of the different potion effects for both the killer penalty and death penalty. Now, each potion effect will follow the format of
WEAKNESS:
Amplifier: 1
Timer: 10
You can add as many potion effects as you like, and as long as they follow that format they will all be added with the custom timer and amplifier.

I have now made it so if the Death_Money setting in the config file is less than 0.1 It will not try to take money from the player. This applies to both the money taken from pvping a player and the normal death penalty.
(Note: Both these options can be disabled as well if you are not wanting them at all.)

This update is to fix a few bugs. The bugs that have been fixed are listed below:
Bug: There was a bug where some commands and messages were getting executed twice.
Bug: There was a couple errors that would appear in console, which have now been resolved
There have been a couple typos in the messages.yml that have been fixed which was causing the second bug above. However, the automatic config updater that I have implemented will not update these. You will need to re-gen the messages.yml for the typos to be fixed.
If you like, you are welcome to fix the typos yourself if you do not want to regenerate the messages.yml
Simply go into the messages.yml and change the following things:
ender_guardian needs to be changed to
elder_guardian
falling needs to be changed to
fall
posion needs to be changed to
poison

I have updated the plugin with 1.16.4 support (even though previous versions should still work.)
I have also released a new feature! It is only a small feature that allows you to know say if you want to log how many pvp kills a player makes. You can give players the permission `omegadeath.pvpkills` and they will be able to use the command /pvpkills to see how many players they have killed!
I have also implemented 2 placeholders for the plugin. These are:
%omegadeath_deathcount% &
%omegadeath_pvpkills% - These are pretty self explainitory. The deathcount will display how many times the player has died and the pvpkills will display how many times a player has killed another player.

Just a small update to implement a new feature! In your rewards.yml files you will now find a new section where players with the permission `omegadeath.rewards.limit` can only receive the kills rewards a certain amount of times in a set time period.
You have full control over the limit amount and the time period. Note that the time period is in minutes. Any player without the permissions mentioned above, will not have the limits applied to them and can continue to receive the rewards as normal.

Just a quick update today.
I have changed the permission `omegadeath.*` to `omegadeath.admin`. This is due to me slowly moving away from using `*` in permissions as it can lead to issues.
Now the exciting bit. I have implemented a new feature.
In your config.yml files you will now find a new section! This section is called Death_Commands. It will allow you to run custom commands from console when the player dies. For any players who have the permission `omegadeath.commands.exempt` will not have the commands executed for them. To get the players name simply use %player%

I have spent some time creating an amazing new feature for you amazing people.
Kill Rewards!!
You are now able to set money and command rewards for all your players when they kill a creature. All creatures can be toggled on or off and have different rewards.
For the money, I didn't want just a static amount given. You set the max and min amount of money you want the player to get and the plugin will generate a random number to give the players.
For the commands, all commands will be run from the console and if you want to get the players name just use %player%.
All players will be given the rewards unless they have the permission omegadeath.rewards.bypass

Firstly, I'd like to say sorry for not posting an update for this plugin in a long time but I have been very busy with a lot of real life stuff and working on my other plugins.
So,
This update is a rather large one as I have changed a lot in both the config.yml and the messages.yml so it'll be best if you re-generate the files to make sure you have all the latest stuff.
I have changed how a lot of the death messages work behind the scenes and implemented a lot more death messages for you to use. All the death messages will now accept using the 1.16 hex colours.
I have also added a new feature that simply keeps count of the amount of times a player dies. They will need the permission `omegadeath.deathcount` to have OmegaDeath keep track of all the deaths and for them to be able to use the `/deathcount` command to view how many times they have died.
There have also been small minor changes to a couple of the permissions and other commands so please make sure you check out the wiki for a full extent of all the permissions and commands as well as more information on all the features.

I have re-coded like 90% of the plugin to make it more modern and easier to update in the future. I've spent many hours getting it to this stage where I feel it is ready for all you guys.
Note: It is best if you re-generate the config.yml and messages.yml if you're updating from an older version as I've fixed a few typos and added an extra message or two into the messages.yml
Note: I have changed the permission
omegadeath.deathprice to
omegadeath.penaltyBypass. When players are given this permission, they will bypass any penalty effects. By Default now all players will receive the penalty effects when they are enabled, unless they have the bypass permission.

New Feature:
I've been able to implement a new feature that lets people now set a price that is taken out of the the players balance. This can be any amount you set in the config. If the player does not have the amount you are able to set a penalty for not having the cost. This will send a message to the player and apply a potion effect to the player that they are unable to remove. It can be any potion effect you want. You are also able to determine how long the potion effect will last.
To apply this to a specific group or user just simply give them the permission omegadeath.deathprice
Bug Fix:
I noticed there was a small bug with the reload command, with the permission so that's all been fixed now.
Just a small update to add some more small features
If you give players omegadeath.back then can use /omegadeath back when they respawn to return to the location they died.
If you give players omegadeath.keepinv they will keep their inventory when they die.
If you give players omegadeath.keepxp they will keep their exp when they die.
Just a simple update to add some new custom death messages.
You are now able to customize the death messages for when players die from Falling, Lava, Fire, Drowning & Suffocation.
