The plugin is good. I have been using it for about 4 years. However, I started using dev builds since the new Minecraft versions and unfortunately I cannot use them on my Towny server because you still have not made it compatible with the new versions of Towny.

I have a little problem with the plugin. The punish amount min: is set to 1 and the max: is set to 1 and the command-list is set to: tempban {player} 15s You have been timed out for logging out during combat. but everytime if a player is in combat and he logs out it dont punish the player.

The plugin is good, but has a lot of bugs.
For example, when entering combat mode with the cmi or essentials plugin flyer enabled, you can click on the space bar and the player will start pouring
Secondly, it is not possible to prevent the player from interacting in combat mode, for example, if there are two players in combat mode, then the third player can heal them by writing /heal nick of the player. And there are plenty of such examples, I hope that in the future all this will be taken into account and the plugin will become even better. (I apologize for the mistakes in theust, as I wrote through a translator due to my lack of knowledge of English)
- The flight bug can be fixed by configuring the CheatPrevention expansion to force disable flight.
- Third-Party commands can't be prevented. Why do players even have access to '/heal'?

I used the plugin before it was completely changed. It was fine, now it doesn't work for me. I tried asking for support, but they say i'm the only one with the problem... Anyway, the plugin gives no errors but it just doesn't work on my server (Action bar enabled even if I didn't have action bar expansion, also custom messages enabled when the feature is set to false (and for that the plugin bans people if they get punished 2 or more times). I'm not happy to say that, because I used this plugin for a lot of time, but now, unfortunately, I can't.
Unfortunately there is not much we can do if your server is not reading configurations correctly. CombatLogX can't send action bar messages when expansions are properly deleted. CombatLogX also does not ban people randomly. All functions are working correctly on my Paper 1.20.1 test server.

I looked at some alternative plugins and settled on this plugin, it works great on paper 1.19.3. thank you to sirblobman for investing so much time and energy into it, it really shows. I only use 8 of the expansions currently but everything seems to be working well. I stumbled with the worldguard regions a bit but got it all figured out. Player going from Non-region (just regular overworld) entering a no-PVP defined region while combat tagged blocked them as expected with just all combat-DENY set as the flags for the non-PVP region. A PVP region within an non-PVP region's area was a little different. I have a PVP region with higher priority within the area of the non-PVP and protected spawn region. This is just a sandbox, no risk fun PVP area at spawn. I originally just set the spawn region combat flags to all DENY, but left the PVP region combat flags all default unset) since from the worldguard perspective the PVP & no PVP boundaries are already effective. But in this setup the player combat flag was being triggered within the PVP region, but they could just walk out of the PVP region into the non-PVP spawn region, and the force field never appeared. So I ended up also setting all the combat flags in the PVP region to ALLOW and now its working as expected, players are combat tagged and cannot exit the PVP region into the non-PVP spawn, and the force-field shows up to block them (I love that). Worldguard had its own weirdness with me flagging build* in the PVP region (within the spawn region) and not working, had to force all the build and break flags to allow, note spawn priority is 0 and the PVP/build region within it is priority 9. So probably just a worldguard thing having to do with unprotected regions within protected regions. Or since I was figuring this out in the middle of the night could just be lack of sleep on my part! I don't think there's an issue here, just sharing this settings info in case anyone else is looking for help and starts going through comments like I usually do. Also I don't see any noticeable increase in RAM or CPU usage with combatlogx, the 8 expansions and 2 or 3 other dependencies installed. Great plugin, 5 stars!

It works well, but way to many add-ons that can't work properly even when disabled. I tried turning off the pvp sound when hitting and still goes off.. I tried turning off the anti-pickup / drop item thing while in combat, and for some reason keeps closing inventory when hit.

It's basically the best solution for overall PvP control. Punishing for leaving, newbie protection, third-party plugins support, limiting items usage and so much more. It also free and open source.
The only annoyance is the config updating between major updates, but that's something I can live with for such an amazing tool.

Excellent plugin to prevent players from combat logging, as well to prevent them from using all sorts of other things such as commands, teleporting, using enderpearls and much more or to have an fancy way to show when they are in combat mode by using the hotbar/bossbar and even the leaderboard menu, setting up multiple timers based on permissions, And so much more! Works also with a ton of other plugins, easy to use "expansion" system, just drag an jar inside an folder for the wanted features what is clearly explained on the wiki. Prevents hours of work to turn off/disable what you do not want. Dev is also very active as well is the support team. Have been using the plugin for years and never had it let me down. When i asked for an feature it was added.
The plugin does not reset any configuration files unless you are updating from V10. Make sure you are not modifying the version number in the main config.yml file.

It's too complicated. Hard to configure. Too strict on some ends but too soft on others. Better using a simple combat log plugin then this as this one is not easy to configure and use right away. Plus, it takes up more space.
The installation guide is on the overview page makes it pretty easy to use. There are many plugins which are more complex than this.
The size of the ZIP does not fully reflect the size of what's going on the server. For example, you will need to delete the expansions you are not using.

I like the plugin, its pretty cool, but you should have multiverse-core compatibility so when a player logs out in combat and say if they have been tp'd to another spawn like a hub it should have the NPC stay in the world its in until the player goes back in it.
Thanks for the review. The cheat prevention expansion does have a way to prevent commands and teleportation. Technically speaking, switching to a different world is not the same as logging out of the server though.

Bruh, im getting the gamemode survival when I build cause I have hurted mob despite being an admin and no way to use /gmc during the combat phase, there is no way to resolve it cause on the plugin page there is no informations no permission about this plugin, such a waste of time
A placeholder already exists, its %combatlogx_in_combat% and %combatlogx_status%, but you need to have the PlaceholderAPI Compatibility expansion installed.

Decent plugin but has intrusive and annoying default settings. It gets annoying to update since the config doesn't automatically update along with the plugin and needs to be redone, leading to these intrusive settings being re-enabled.
The default config currently has most options enabled so that new users can figure out every feature of the plugin. It is not meant to be used on a production server without being setup correctly.

Definitely a useful plugin if you are trying to prevent your players from tagging some and yeeting themselves from the server, however, I would be much happier if you could customize how tagging behaves in the means of preventing chat and players from opening their inventories. this is a must have for any server, with expansions and tons of config values to change around. for example, I don't like the tpa delay so I just removed it altogether, CombatLogX is highly customizable imo.

The command "/me logged out during combat!" depends on what plugins you have installed. If you have essentials it would be essentials.me and vanilla is minecraft.command.me

I really love this plugin. The Exstensions idea is awesome and so useful. The plugin is really easy to understand and I love the 1.14 support. Also I joined the discord to seek for help regarding a question and the dev itself was really friendly and replied after 5 minues. Thats great support!
I've been using this plugin for AGES. It's the best combat log protection plugin out there, it's very customizable, runs smooth and very easy to learn. At this time I don't know how to prevent breaking the glass, because they're not technically real blocks. You can enable other options to prevent players from entering the regions though (e.g. Knockback, kill, cancel, etc...)

Wonderfully made plugin! I have been using it for a while and have not encountered any bugs. Any problems/questions that I had were promptly answered by the helpful active staff including the creator! Lots of features that you can enable/disable, including how players are tagged, punishments etc!

A fairly simple plugin with a good developer! (and the only one of its kind that seems to actually work with mobs). I think it would be cool to add some stuff like disable flying and disable commands when tagged. All in all, it does exactly as promised, and the developer seems nice and responsive when based on the replies/reviews section.

Hello, good add-on, but I would like to test the expansion of Citizens Compatibility but the Citizens pl that your add-on requests is not compatible with 1.8.
Good but i found an error with MinePacks plugin, when you got items in your /backpack and die by combatlog your items in your /backpack got duplicated...
If you are trying to reload configs for expansions, this does not currently work. The reload command is only for the main configs such as 'combat.yml'. Thanks for the review though :)

This plugin is great for almost any server with pvp. There are lots of configurations, and works almost perfectly.

I like the plugin, except one small problem. I disabled self-combat, but players get tagged when they take fall damage. Other wise, the plugin is great.
In my opinion it's one of the bests Combat Log plugins out there. Very configurable. Many thanks to it's author SirBlobman for quick support and such a great plugin.

Great plugin but CompatWorldGuard isn't working, no error in console. I got the latest version of worldguard and a region with pvp flag is set to deny. In the config file i set in safezone section : no-entry to true, and restart the server, but i still can go in safezone even if i'm in pvp (all is working except this, and i got all the addons and all is working for me)

Plugin is well designed in my opinion, the only thing with this build is even if you have Boss Bar disabled, it tries to check for Minecraft Version 1.8.8, and throws errors since the Boss Bar is different from 1.12.2.
Great plugin but for some reason, I cannot make the combatlogx trigger when a player hits another player. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with the plugin itself but I have no idea what causes the problem.

Absolutely amazing plugin. I was using Premium PvPManager but it had some bugs such as not combat tagging players when flying and shooting mobs with a bow. Using this plugin it fixes that! Plus it looks like it's constantly updated which is great. Definitely recommend!

The "blocked commands" commands do not work, i have enabled and disabled the whitelist however it still wont work, the "block teleport" also doesnt work as players can still do /spawn and other commands to TP.
I love this plugin, but i have a question. Is there any way to block the entry in safezone areas? something like a wall that blocks you to entry safezones when you are in combat?

Fantastic plugin, the best I found for that. Just wanted to know if you have another safezone mode, like "teleport", because when a player is falling and touches a safezone it is thrown very high up.
There's three possible modes right now
CANCEL (tps the player back to their original spot before the safezone)
KILL (sets their health to 0)
KNOCKBACK (default mode, does knockback)

Great Plugin OverAll, but you do need to fix the problem where the safezone is 250 blocks to the top, and to the bottom in safezone entry. Also, when you turn backwards, and enter it, it makes you fly! (Like I said, I don't have time to setup another account to tell you bugs.
If you are using Factions then the safezone issue is not a bug, it is because Factions sets the whole chunk (0 - 256) as the safezone. The fly bug should be fixed in 5.1.0 but I cannot test due to not owning multiple accounts

The plugin is amazing! Its the best combat plugin i've ever had or seen! I love how customizable it is. There is a flaw tho, not a bug I dont think. when a player is standing right outside of a nopvp area and gets hit and knocked into the area they get flown really high up and smacked agaisnt a wall instead of put back into the pvp area. I was wondering if you could maybe make the plugin find the nearest area or region that has pvp and flings them towards it?
Could you show me a video of this? I do knock players back but I didn't think it was that much from the tests I did
