Absolutely AMAZING! Only one major flaw... I use Apex Hosting's largest package available. The processor and RAM they provide is phenomenal. That being said, when I install BlueMap... it literally uses 80% of my CPU usage, ultimately causing many player kicks and server crashes. Keep that in mind when installing this. I don't know if it means anything, but we're using Paper v 1.21 JAVA server.

An amazing plugin. I can view a 3D map on a web link without having to enter the server, but one problem... Ever since I downloaded it, my server started overloading majorly, processor went through the roof, server is restarting due to: out of memory, and my tps goes all the way down to 10. And also is uses a major part of my storage. If the developer has something, to say or do about it please do, but in the meantime, I won't be using this plugin, because of the reasons, listed above!

Really awesome plugin! Using it for a while now and can only recommend it. I can view the map in the browser and have such a great overview about the whole map. Only downside is the amount of storage it needs.

This plugin simply ate 300GB of disk space, to render a 3k x 3k map, without any warning. Consequently, the SSD became full, the other plugins couldn't save more data, several data got corrupted, including thousands of items from players, from other plugins like sf. anyways... lesson learned.

I had a problem with caves generating with a custom wolrd generation. They responded super fast and the issue was resolved. The map runs smooth and better than dynmap.

Amazing plugin for world maps. You can easily view in 3D everything that the players have built, or simply explore the world. This plugin, in my opinion, is much better than Dynmap, but has one problem that I encountered: the map does not update until I restart the server or write the /bluemap update command. I would also like to see the built-in chat like in Dynmap (not BlueMapChatMarkers). Work on Purpur 1.19.x

I 100% recommend this plugin, a brilliant plugin that can compete with Dynmap, personally I prefer this to Dynmap.

I have used overviewer and now I use BlueMap, it is very good plugin.

Negative point, all markers are saved in one file.
It is better to save in folders and subfolders, where one folder is "example-marker-set" and the "example-poi-marker" is the file.

You have to use "\plugins\BlueMap\maps\world.conf" and /bluemap reload all the time, it wastes a lot of time.
There is "bluemap\web\maps\world\live\markers.json", but it doesn't save the changes and they are not applied.
I expect stupid answers of "You have to clear the cache".

The discord server is dead, if someone helps you, they reply you with an absurd answer. It's totally understandable, it's a great plugin and free.

I hope they add at least a multiconfig system. To be able to add the Markers from the markers.json directly and add the command: /bluemap reload <world_name> markers

This plugin is amazing, and it's free which once I've got some extra cash I plan to donate because that's just how good it works. The 3D imaging is both unbeatable and adjustable if you want even more amazing rendering or if you want your PC to cool off, less :D. It can actually render custom biome colors now without you doing anything extra, reads the pack and renders the colors itself. The support team? As polite as you can get and always helpful with any questions or issues you may have. There's just no competition to this in my opionion

Amazing plugin!
You can literally spectate your world in your webbrowser and it really feels like you would be actually ingame.
And on top of that, it is also completely free and open source.

The only downside is, that it takes a big amount of storage.
It has pretty much doubled or tripled the size of the world. But since my hoster doesn't really has a limit for storage, i just hope that they ignore the high usage.

It's like Google Earth but you have a 3D view option, and I love it! Seeing your beautiful world in new ways in 3D is so surreal! 2D maps are perfect... but they are limited to see the world in more detail.

It supports mods, custom texture packs, and cool plugins as well, such as Lands.

There is a storage "problem" but it mostly depends on how big your map is and how detailed you want it. Luckily I have 1TB of storage on my server pc, so I got nothing to worry about! It mostly depends on your hardware, if you have low storage go find another map plugin, if you have plenty of storage, you'll be fine!

still no support for mysql, its sad because the plugin take a LOT of storage, and the feature request was open more than 1 year ago

Awsome substitute for dynmap, and I am now using this instead of dynmap, much easyer setup than dynmap and I can only recomend this for any server, which wants an online map.

just put this on my server to replace dynmap to see if it fixed the rendering lag and it runs much better and dosent try rendering everthing at once and gives me the advantage on not rendering the anarchy world since i dont think they want a map on that world

i really do enjoy using BlueMap, along with its great support. However, a major downside is the storage. There isn't an external storage or MySQL option and due to this, BlueMap has been taking nearly 80% of my storage, specifically 75 GB of storage. I sadly won't be using BlueMap on my other projects just due to the hassle of having to deal with the extreme storage levels of BlueMap. I understand that this is probably a side project for the author, but I do hope that the author finds time to adds an external storage feature in the near future.

If you are using dynamap in 2021 you have to change. If you want Quality go for this 100% if you need preformance go with Pl3xmap. There is no reason to use dynamap. This plugin is god level.

While it may not currently have the total number of features that Dynmap has, I have no doubt that in time it will have the same if not more features.

The plugin runs smoothly. The maps are amazing. The size is for map files is smaller than expected.

One of the best minecraft map making tools I've ever seen!
Over the last few days I've got this running side by side with dynmap and used it to create a "street view" button within dynmap that acts like google's street view, it's worked out perfect for my needs and plyers love it, You can customize everything from how renders are handled to how the user interface looks!
The amount of work that's been put into this resource for free is crazy, Everyone with dynmap should consider this as an alternative, especially of storage space is an issue, BlueMaps renders are microscopic in comparison .
Really cannot say enough good things about this, Just Try it!

10/10. The Dynmap alternative we needed on steroids. A modern interface, a mind-blowing 3D map, and a crazy helpful developer!

Good plugin! But for real servers, I will say that the rendering of the 20.000X20.000 map on the i5 9600k took half a day and the map weighed 2-3 times more than the world. The main thing is that stable 20TPS will not be 100%.

when i saw it for the first time, i immediately switched dynmap to bluemap. I love the optics and I am curious what else you will add! both thumps up :-)

This plugin will let you render a map that looks better then dynmap and is able to be viewed from any perspective. Its quite easy to install and if you cant get something to work, just hop onto their discord and you will be helped faster then you could ever imagine, in a way that made me realize that this guy must love what he is doing. Certainly is going to make me and the people a lot happier!

Fantastic plugin that far outstrips what Dynamap can perform, and there's hardly any notice to the resources if you properly setup your config before rendering. The estimated wait time was fairly accurate as well which is a hard find (at least it was for me and my 8k diameter world). The configs are very easy to manage and with enough sleuthing you can modify virtually anything. Everyone should give this a try!

Had some issues at first with setting up DNS records and all that but at the end was satisfied with how this turned out.
This plugin is a really cool alternative to DynMap, mainly because you're free to rotate the map however you want. It isn't just a 2D and 3D isometric view but whatever you want it to look like!

Incredible 3D map plugin. Taking its features into account its much more than just a dynmap alternative, as it takes a 3D camera approach to server maps. The suggestions list in discord basically shows that this plugin can still be improved, which seams amazing considering all it offers already. Devs have been very helpful and update consistently and regularly so far. All in all, this is an amazing plugin :)
