Its beatiful plugin for my server, but I do not know how to make it so that players without op can also write in different colors. This only works with the op, even though I gave them a GUI and colors, but it still doesn't give colors.

I love it very much, it serves for what I want, except for the issue of gradients, it would be great to use minimessage in which the menu I prefer to do one with commandpanels, because I can also support bedrock and have full control.

And if I were to add one more thing to this plugin is to be able to define 2 or more colors for a variable, it would be simply exquisite, and you wouldn't have to add minimessage support, for obvious reasons you would just put it to fill in the formatting spaces :D

Good and bad at same time. Geyser. It doesnt work with geyser it straight throw error when player tries to set color from chat or gui. Really good plugin but i didnt found any info about geyser with this plugin and dont see a reason that its not working with geyser.. Its good plugin but its a big no for bedrock

Been using this plugin for many years for small personal servers. It is one of those plugins that I install on any server I plan to use regularly. It has always done exactly what it says it will do, and works amazingly! Recently updated the plugin cause I was having issues, and issues went away.

ChatColor does not directly interface or support other chat plugins - you may need to change the event-priority in the config if you are having any issues :)

The only issue im having is giving player the option to use Hex codes. They have the permission in luckperms but it won't actually let them use the codes. The only way I could get it to work was if I gave them access to everything which would include changing other peoples chat colors.

Whenever players in my server change their chat color in the GUI it says its changed succesfully but it doesnt actually work. It does work for myself though and yes all the permissions have been set correctly.

Hi, this is a mistake on my part - the jar will currently only work on 1.16 spigot jars and above - you can fix this by opening the jar file using WinRaR or similar, opening plugin.yml and changing 'api-version' to 1.13 :) This will be fixed in the next update.

I've been trying to give players permission to command "/chatcolor" or "/chatcolor help" but I can't.
I use LuckPerms. I tried the command "/lp group default permission set chatcolor.use true" but it still doesn't work. Can you help me with this command?

Thanks again for the review - GUIs are not player-specific; they are the same for everyone. If you give someone the permission: chatcolor.color.blue, they will only be able to use the blue colour in the GUI (other ones will appear unavailable). Every /chatcolor command we try, we only get "/chatcolor [player/confirm] <color/default> [modifiers]" back.
Is this because the plugin isnt updated? or is it anything we missed?

Thanks for the review! :) That section of the config is used to set the default colour for players. It is recommended you change this from in-game to avoid any issues.

I love this plugin, but there is only one thing I had to ask. I wanted to make this an option for special ranks, but is there a way that if someone no longer has that permission to use chatcolor, their chat will be reset to a (default) white color?

Thanks for the review! Unfortunately there isn't any real way to do this. You can just set their colour back to the default if you need to, but there isn't any automatic way to do it.

I'd recommend this: whatever is taking the permission away, make it run /chatcolor <player> default as well, which will set them back to the default.

Hi, I'm very sorry about this, it is something I forgot to remove from the plugin during testing. It will be removed in the next update. I will try to get this done today, as I realise this is annoying quite a few people :(

Its really cool but we have 2 Problems. First is the Rainbow Color. If i take the rainbowcolour and want to change them in for example red they didnt change the color because red is selected.

The second problem is, that this plugin spamms like hell in Console. Every 10 seconds there comes a message like:

Thats really horrible. Can i fix it alone?

I recommend this plugin for any server that needs to add colours for ranks or just the general option to change their chat colour. I had an issue with not understanding how to add the rank colours properly and the developer was very helpful, giving a description of what I had done wrong and what I was supposed to do.

Plugin works flawlessly on my server. However, because we're expanding into multiple servers, MySQL is the only thing stopping me from giving this rating 5 stars. If you're not worried about cross-server colors, then this is a 5 star plugin for you. I've never had a player report an issue and it's intuitive enough with the GUI that there's never any questions on how to set your color.

Hi, i love the plugins GUI and commands, but have an issue, when i set my chat color, it dosn't change when i type in chat... So, the color is set to whatever i selected, but when i type in chat it is not that color... I do not know why this occurs, but could it possibly be because of a confliction with a plugin like ChatManager? I do not use anything to edit the color of the chat with ChatManager so i am unsure if that could be the issue. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
