WorldSpawns -----

Set separate spawns for all your worlds.

  • Added permission 'worldspawns.spawn.world.*' that allows teleporting to the spawn of every world in the server;
  • Removed permission 'worldspawns.spawn.other' in favor of using 'worldspawns.spawn.world.[name]' and/or 'worldspawns.spawn.world.*';
  • Added missing permission 'worldspawns.force' to plugin.yml.

Complete rewrite of the plugin.
----------, Apr 4, 2025

v2.6
A much more smaller update this time. The plugin is getting some new features again, as well as adressing a certain issue.

Additions
  • Added feature for setting the teleporting delay individually for each world and command.
  • Added feature for teleporting players on joining and dieing.
  • Fixed issue #2 where changing 'component-firework' in config would break the plugin.
Changes
  • Corrected a few minor typo's.
Known bugs/errors:
  • On some first runs of the plugin, the plugin might fail to create the necessary files. Please attempt one reload/restart of the server, and see if this fixed the problem. If this does not resolve the problem, please report this issue to me on the Issues page.
----------, Sep 29, 2019

The update to 1.14 is finally here, as well as for 1.13. The plugin might still support other versions, both older and newer, but try at your own risk!

The plugin has been redone from scratch. Even though I do my best at testing all features, problems might still pop up here and there. Please report these issues as soon as you encounter them, so I can fix them as soon as possible. You can report anything you encounter at the Issues page. Please also read about the 'debug mode' below.

Additions
  • Newly generated configuration files now contain detailed descriptions for each setting.
  • Debug mode added for extensive logging. It's recommended to use this setting for reporting any bugs or issues, since it can give me a more detailed insight on what went wrong.
Changes
  • Removed the '/worldspawns enable' command.
  • Whenever a world is not specified for a 'spawn' or 'fspawn' sign, the current world will be used, instead of giving an error message.
  • Anything related to the portals feature that was already in place has been removed. This feature is being delayed for a future update. Keeping it as it is now and adding it might have a negative impact on performance, so I will be working on refining this feature in the meantime. Sorry for the inconvenience this might've caused.

Known bugs/errors:
  • On some first runs of the plugin, the plugin might fail to create the necessary files. Please attempt one reload/restart of the server, and see if this fixed the problem. If this does not resolve the problem, please report this issue to me on the Issues page.

  • Creating WorldSpawns teleport signs is now fully functional. It's been a ride to get this finally properly functional (it's the only reason this update has taken as long as it did), as well as saving it to the file in a correct way. But my work has (hopefully) paid off, and here it is.
  • Changed the way the plugin checks if a player has moved while during the teleport delay. It should now be less picky if the player has moved.
  • Another code cleanup. The JAR file is a bit smaller now.
The newbiespawn feature is still in Beta. Any feedback about it is much appreciated.
----------, Jul 10, 2018

  • The portals feature has been implemented, but not fully. At startup, a check for WorldEdit will be done (for creating future portals, to designate the portal area with the wand). You can ignore the error message if it has not been installed, it will have no further effects on the other features of the plugin.
  • Changed '/ws enablehub' to '/ws enable', making it a command to either enable or disable certain 'components' of the plugin. The effects of enabling/disabling a component will take instant effect, no reload required. These 'components' include:
    • the spawns feature, including the 'newbie spawn',
    • the hub feature,
    • the portals feature,
    • and the signs feature (the special signs for teleporting to a spawn or the hub).
  • Added '/ws permissions', giving you the possibility to view all permission nodes in-game.
  • Added possibility to set a special spawn for new players. Set this spawn with '/setnewbie', and reset it with '/resetnewbie'. You can also set the hub as the new players' spawn. For more information about doing this, go to the Configuration page. (this has not been tested, but should work in theory. Feedback about this is much appreciated)
  • Commands in help page will now only be shown if the played also has the permission for that specific command.
  • Fixed '/ws check' not working properly.
  • Fixed all spawn-related commands not working properly.
  • Fixed some errors in the '/worldspawns' command.
  • Squashed minor bugs.
  • Code cleanup. (stating this since it might create errors I have overseen while doing the cleanup. If so, I will revert this cleanup, and state this in the next update.)
  • Some things I might have left out this list because I forgot about those new features/changes (most likely because they were VERY small changes etc.).
Known bugs/errors:

  • When using the plugin (this happens mostly on 1.9.4 and older versions) for the first time, the plugin might not work when started up for the first time. Reload or restart your server once, and the plugin should be working properly now.
  • Sounds are not being played, regardless of the 'settings.enableSounds' field in config. I will do my best to fix this, and to bring out an update as soon as I do fix it.
If you have found one, please report it by creating a ticket on the Issues page on the DevBukkit post.

  • Added option to set a customizable delay before teleporting. (can be disabled in config)
  • Added commands '/fhub' and '/fspawn': bypass the set teleporting delay!
  • Create customizable signs that teleport you to the hub or to the spawn of a world.
  • Spawn randomly generated OR custom firework rockets after teleporting! (can be disabled in config)
  • Squashed minor bugs.
