I have been using Worldedit for 13 years without seeing my selections... we are certainly getting used to it, but when we discover the possibility of seeing our selections we no longer do without it!
I've been using WESV for the last year and it does a great job! Thank you for this plugin and for maintaining it ;)
Crystal Clear Region Visualization:
WorldEditSelectionVisualizer truly elevates the building experience by providing administrators with a visual masterpiece. The plugin's ability to clearly display selected regions enhances precision, allowing builders to work with unprecedented clarity and confidence.
Optimized Performance:
A standout feature of this plugin is its exceptional optimization. Even with its powerful visualizations, WorldEditSelectionVisualizer operates seamlessly without compromising server performance. Builders can revel in the enhanced visual experience without worrying about any lag or slowdown.
Free and Open Source:
The generosity of WorldEditSelectionVisualizer being both free and open source speaks volumes. This commitment to accessibility ensures that builders of all backgrounds can benefit from its advanced features without any financial barriers. The open-source nature also encourages community collaboration and improvement.
API and PlaceHolderAPI Support:
The inclusion of API support, coupled with compatibility with PlaceHolderAPI, adds an extra layer of versatility. This feature-rich plugin seamlessly integrates with other tools and plugins, allowing administrators to customize and extend its functionality according to their specific needs.
Players end up crashing, server ends up crashing, I gave up using this plugin for the fact that it SHOULD NOT TAKE UP A LARGE AMOUNT OF RESOURCES. This is clearly some kind of memory leak.
I now use the WorldeditSUI plugin (google search it) on my 1.19.3 server even though it's for 1.10, it still works, and uses practically zero resources. skip this resource hogging plugin for one that barely uses any resources. Wish I could only rate 0 b/c a plugin like your could very well break or corrupt a server.
Seems like you are the only one to have this issue but it’s the plugin fault ? Also at least contact me before posting angry 1 star reviews like this, because you provide 0 useful information on the problem
Version: 2.1.3
the owners are amazing for developing and maintaining this. It is a great plugin that fills a MAJOR capability gap in worldedit. with worldguard you can run /regions list, select the desired region, then click the coordinates in "bounds" and that region will be highlighted by this plugin (finally). I tried a few different land claims plugins for some protected zones but they had way too much bloat and conflicts with worldguard.
I never knew how much I needed this plugin until I actually got it. Being able to see your selection, especially with complex shapes like //sel poly, is everything!
I think you enabled the option 'fade-delay' in the config so the particles will dissapear after some time. If you need help please join my Discord

SO FREAKING USEFUL!!! thank you for making this

i like tomatoes
This is a great plugin that works flawlessly with WE and FAWE alike, it adds a feature that you would expect a WE type plugin to have by default - It's really a must have, in my book.
Really awesome, finally I can SEE what I selected.
Would be nice if I could create signs that people can click to see the registered region on the sign for a few seconds.
But still without this, I must give 5 stars, because it works so well!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks a ton. Worked without any issue, and the config file is very easy to understand. Hopefully this will reduce the worldedit accidents on my server (mostly me :P)
This is a really good plugin! Does exactly what I wanted and is very easy to configure with a few slight adjustments to make it to my liking. Thank you so much for creating an amazing yet simple plugin! 5 Stars ★★★★★
"Does work, but when doing massive edits(as most world edits require) the spawning of particles causes massive FPS/tps drop."
EDIT:
No where does it or indicate I'm asking for support. AUTHOR please learn to read and not assume I or anyone is asking for help. This is a review for others.
The lags are caused by the amount of particles spawned by the plugin, which can easily be adjusted in the config.
You have a problem but you don’t want help to solve it ? Okay, I don’t understand why but it’s your choice, just don’t leave negatives reviews about this problem.
Version: 2.0.3
Great plugin , replaces the old WorldEdit CUI and makes the visualization simpler and prevents stupid mistakes
Great plugin, works as advertised. Glad the clipboard vizualisation is disabled by default now, it confused me when I suddenly had a big box following me, sorry for the 3 star review.
You can change the particles distances, and disable top or bottom lines in the config, it should reduce lags :)
Version: 1.6.1
The plugin is simply great. I used it for a few months and when I went without it for a few days, I constantly found myself thinking about how easy what I was doing would have been with it. The config file is easy to read and if you mess up all you really need to do is look at the overview again (cough, I didn't do this, cough, I feel like an idiot). But in all seriousness, it's great.
A great idea was realized. With this plugin you can help many people with worldedit permissions. At here you get fast support too if you have a problem or a new function-idea. Currently the visualisation for sphere and ellipsoid seletion is broke, but I think this bug is fixed in the next time. For the most used cubic seletion it work great! :)
Absolutely love this plugin. Used to use a client-side add-on but it broke a long time ago and was never updated. I've been using this for years now and can't live without it.
Any chance of getting a config option for top/bottom particles though? I often use it to count or to mark the edges of an area I'm digging in and it would be great to know for sure when I've reached the "ceiling" or "floor". so to speak. Either way, thanks for all of your hard work!
I'll add this to issues on GitHub if anyone wanted to have a play. I believe the original author omitted top+bottom for performance reasons, so I've not changed it. But someone might be able to try and implement+optimize that in the future (maybe me :-D).
Version: 1.4.6
love this plugin... was able to see it once linked on the working 1.12 plugins list! I would however like to see the particals fade away after xmount of seconds or mins.
Thanks for the feedback :) Since WESV is dependent on WorldEdit's current selection, fading particles would mean I would need to cancel that selection after the timeout, which is probably not what most people would want. I'm leaving this in the issue tracker in case anyone wanted to play around and try to implement this functionality -
https://github.com/martinambrus/WorldEdit-ServerSide-Visualizer/issues/12
Perfect!
It is also working normally with FastAsyncWorldEdit and AsyncWorldEdit.
Just a suggestion, but you could change the name of your plugin or something like that, it's kinda hard to find it by typing words in Google.
Thanks for the positive feedback and your suggestion :) Plugin name is already known around the globe, so that's unlikely to change. But I agree in that it's unsearchable :-D
Version: 1.4.4
Working fantastic.... was / still am - using Lightloader cui - lol - both working at the same time ...unnecessary but easier - when doing co-op projects - thanks for mantaining this great pluging.
Please be ready for mc1.11 or is it mc1.12 lol lol.............Llama Llama.!
It's work! like a magic
too bad, convex is not showing in this plugin.
BTW, this is great tool for creator. This plugin should have plugin or something to reduce particle. some of players have slow computer and yea, lag
Thank you for your review :) The limited amount of particles displayed is intentional. Making a grid on top and bottom of the selection would double their amount and could incur heavy lag to either the server or the client, or both.
Version: 1.4.2
I use this plugin in conjunction with World Guard and MyCommand to show players their claim regions with a command, thanks for updating to 1.8.8!
