Seems like the newest version has removed the ''setcorners'' feature, discord link is broken and most tutorials are outdated, luckily the previous version available for download is still on github and it's working fine on 1.20.6, i do not recommend the most recent version however
This plugin I use 2 minutes to setup a border, visible on Dynmap, and our server has been using it since around year 2012. Thanks for continuing this fork. And by that I also see Mike Primm was updating Dynmap, what integrates with this border plugin. Excellent! It's just such a simple and important plugin that works as a charm as it is, and always been. Thanks!
Even tho people constantly download this plugin...nobody reviews anything to let the rest of us know what's what.... Sadly....But Good to say that this plugin is working on 1.19.2. I have had no issues with it....although I have not tried the trim/fill commands so I cannot speak for that. Glad to see this plugin is working. Don't bother asking questions in the discussion...goto the Discord like the Info says....but nobody has ever read it apparently ;) Thanks for updating this and keeping it alive.
This plugin does just fine. Using this resource for larger worlds that span out a 1 million world border, it generates relatively quickly, if you run the chunk generation at a higher value. Thank you for maintaining this resource.
Cannot believe the author is open sourcing the code and not selling this as a premium plugin. This has helped my server be able to generate a whole 30k x 30k world while constantly maintaining 10-15 players on! I would absolutely pay money for this to be a premium plugin!
A must for every sever out there, thx for keeping it alive, using it forever to keep control of those wanderers that always want to go 1.000.000 blocks out .
I'm going to ask the question that surprisingly nobody else asked: what happens if a player creates a Nether portal at co-ordinates that will deposit them outside the world border in the Overworld? Does the Nether have a scaled-down, divided-by-8 version of the world border?
The review section is not a place to ask questions, we have a discord and github that you can freely join and ask.
To answer your question however, the world border is per world. So you can have both the overworld and nether be both 10k by 10k if you so wish. Players traveling from the nether at the 10k mark, will be sent to an area within the worldborder range of the overworld.
Version: 2.0.7
Yesss! This fork has fixed issues I've had with the pre-generating world feature leaving huge bands or holes of un-generated chunks in the final world. Been using this plugin since Beta and love to see it still supported!
The performance improved and goes faster but there is something I forgot to comment when you go to restart but before you put /wb (world) fill pause at the next start it does not continue from where I left it sometimes it worked for me but now it does not or maybe it works in some cases and others don't
omg you're a legend! you dont know how much i love this plugin <3
Your review must be at least 80 characters. Using filler characters to bypass this limit will get you punished (atleast im not spamming like others) please write a proper and constructive review.
This is a great plugin. It worked perfect for my earth server, it generated all chunks (with a few hiccups), and created a more realistic earth because I could wrap the border.
In a way it is good but it must also be said that it lacks optimization or perhaps it is a java thing I made a new world I put a border of 25k x 25k I adjusted the parameters to use / wb fill I mean use / wb world fill 500 500 true and it still takes a while and that was put on a dedicated 64GB ram server with a 4.70Ghz 8 core processor just to do that and the server just uses 20% of the processor with the server and still the tps are from 17 to 16 if it is possible to optimize it but it would be to my liking quite good I leave you my three stars.
Thank you for your honest review. Although I must say filling in 500 chunks/second is a little overkill and strains the cpu. I don't think java minecraft servers can even load in that many chunks a second without causing some major lag. Your 4.70Ghz 8Core processor sounds dandy, but the performance of your cpu is where it would really need to shine, the Ghz doesn't matter if the cpu is not up to server grade standards. I may be wrong about this though. However, if you wish to speak more about the computer part situation, feel free to chat me up in the discord, :)
P.S. I love computers, :D
Thank you again for your honest view. I can't wait to finish and share the re-code of this plugin. Hopefully it will meet your standards for the huge amounts of loading. <3
Version: 2.0.6
nice marche bien, rapide a mettre en place,de bonne qualité.
c'est pour cela que je met la note de 5/5
Plugins like this are why I am able to run small servers on hardware that shouldn't have servers running on it. Now I can continue my shenanigans. Thank you!
