How Does It Work?

VehicleClearer uses the MTVehicles API to track all currently spawned vehicles. It checks if each vehicle is occupied (i.e., ridden by a player or entity). If the vehicle is idle for a configurable amount of time, it is automatically despawned. You can also manually clear vehicles on demand using the command.

The plugin continuously runs in the background with a scheduler, so you don’t have to worry about performance issues or manual cleanup.


Commands & Permissions

• /vehicleclearer reload - Reloads the plugin configuration files without restarting the server.
    Permission: vehicleclearer.commands.reload
• /vehicleclearer clear - Immediately clears all idle vehicles on the server.
    Permission: vehicleclearer.commands.clear
• /vehicleclearer (or /vc) - Shows a help menu listing available commands.
    Permission: vehicleclearer.use

Permissions allow you to restrict access to the plugin’s functionality and control who can manage vehicles.


Configuration

VehicleClearer comes with two main configuration files:

• settings.yml: Set your clear interval (in minutes), toggle auto-clear on or off, and customize other options.
• messages.yml: Customize all the messages the plugin sends to players, including permission errors, success confirmations, and broadcast notifications.
