The only tree feller plugin that works like it should. To the person who is complaining about bad implementation and bad performance... I call BS because this works great with any plugin I have thrown at it and I keep a very close on on performance between different plugins. Thizzy is the goat!
So far, working well for us. Thank you. I was wondering if you had any placeholders available for this plugin? I did not see any listed anywhere I could find. Would love you be able to add an enabled/disabled score for it on the scoreboard to allow players to easily tell when it is active.
There are placeholders for PlaceholderAPI; looks like I never added them to the description. I'll do that soon.
I believe the one you're looking for is `treefeller_toggled`
Version: 1.24.1
Really bad implementation, causing bad permormance and compatibility issues with other plugins.
Doesn't work with Paper 1.21:

Works great out of the box, but also has a bunch of settings you can fine tune if you want. Been using on my server for years, seems like it's actively developed. Adds just the right amount of convenience for a better minecraft experience.
Does not work at all. Only about half of all trees are felled, and micro-jerks occur with every trunk that is cut down. In short, I'm looking for another plugin.
Best plugin I've seen. tree cutting can customize all custom tree types and their sizes. Multiple falling animations, sound when chopping trees, custom ax durability damage, food and health needed to chop...
However, we still haven't found a way to limit saplings or apple drop rates.
I should have switched to this plugin long ago. The Craftaro (Songoda) UltimateTimber plugin breaks every update, and the devs take their sweet time with the updates.
Side note: Thizzy'z Tree Feller config is shockingly large. It's rare seeing this level of configurability in a plugin.
With its rich in-game GUI panel, diverse and powerful customizable configurations, and tree detection capabilities, it is definitely the best tree-cutting plugin.
I have used this resource for quite literally YEARS and it has never failed me. Updates regularly come out posthaste and the developer is extremely personable and willing to help. I would most certainly describe this tee feller plugin as a MUST-HAVE for any survival based server. Worth a try!
I love using this plugin a bunch and I'm using it on a few of my servers and it works perfectly! however, with the most recent update, I've found that the cherry blossom trees aren't coming down, besides that, no issues!
I was looking a while for a decent Tree Feller plugin and this one offers all options or better needs I had.
I had some issues, as Logblock has some issues with this plugin right now due to api changes on their side, but asking in the discord for help I got an answer within 1 minute and the issue was resolved.
On top the debug of Treefeller helps figure out basically any issues.
The resource works flawless for me so far, even with replanting saplings and it doesn't seem to drain any performance in my testing.
Went to the discord to ask for support about a compatibility issue, not only got a response in a matter of seconds but the author fixed it in less than 3 minutes!
The TreeFeller animations are beautiful. It took some effort to configure them the way I wanted -- the defaults may not be your idea of optimal visualization -- but it's highly configurable. No other tree plugin could do what I wanted. I worked with many of the developers, including other premium offers, and TreeFeller was the only one who worked with me until the plugin did what I wanted.
Still the ultimate tree feller out there, Thizzy has done an excellent job. It's easy to configure yet you can customise it in all sorts of ways to suit your server. Never had issues with it. Even works with custom world generator trees with a few tweaks in the config.
The Tree Feller plugin works exactly as intended. When I had a question, the owner responded almost immediately and I couldn't ask for better service for a free plugin. Best tree feller plugin 10/10 :D.
This plugin has a large number of settings, of course. But there isn't the most important setting that half the people who respect natural physics are looking for.
- The blocks should not hang in the air, but simply fall if the lower block of the tree is cut down. to avoid chopping them in the air.
This plugin does not have such a feature and the animation customization suggestions described above do not help to achieve this. I
I'm disappointed.
And I'm also disappointed that when you set the number of blocks in the settings that are required for the plugin to consider the structure a "tree", and also indicate that the user can not cut down many blocks at a time (and these numbers overlap), the plugin starts to fail and does not understand what is wanted from it.
Example:
required-logs 4
max-logs: 1
And that's all - the plugin loses its brain and does not understand what to do. This plugin is not capable of realistic logging.
If you want the blocks to fall, try the FALL_BREAK fell behavior with leave-stump on.
If required-logs is greater than max-logs, this does cause issues. This is expected, as that is outside the expected bounds of these values. (max-logs is the maximum number of logs a tree may have, not the number of logs that will be cut down... I guess I should clarify in the config)
If you want the tree to fall over instead of instantly breaking, try using the NATURAL fell behavior; it will lay the tree down on the ground.
Version: 1.14
Continuing on from my previous review, the plugin is yet to disappoint me. Thrilled to see where Thizzy can take their tree feller plugin in the future - even without new features, the plugin still takes the crown and the cake over every other 'tree feller' plugin combined.
everyone has one boring mechanic. I saw how the tree went down 1 block each time it was cut down (Choptree2) or fell beautifully like in the plugin (ultimatetimber) at least make the setting of the tree breaking speed
There are many settings to change how trees are cut down, with an almost unlimited amout of customizability. For an UltimateTimber-style cutting animation, use the FALL_BREAK fell behavior, and temporarily give the falling blocks NoGravity via a datapack
If you want trees to break gradually, and not all at once, enable `cutting-animation`, and you can adjust the speed with `anim-delay`
You can further customize the felling process with effects, creating particles, playing sounds, etc.
Version: 1.13.5
The most configurable tree feller plugin I've found out here on spigot. The "natural" style is what I'm looking for! It lays down the tree in an elegant manner instead of breaking the entire branch!
I tried seven different Treefeller plugins for my custom worldpainter world with dozens of custom trees, this one worked the best initially but still didn't work on some trees. Then I found out about the debug mode, which told me exactly why those trees weren't being cut down. I was able to add different log/leaf combinations to the config file and everything worked very well. The only issue is that vines, and cocoa beans placed high up in my tall custom jungle trees weren't automatically deleted, but I am so satisfied with the quality of this plugin that I can only rate it 5 stars. Thank you for this plugin Thizzy, it is truly the best Treefeller for 1.16 out there, by far. I reactivated this account just to write this review.
Beats all other tree fellers on the website. Configured it to fell my custom world generator's trees as well. Very configurable and very easy to configure. For RealisticWorldGenerator, all I had to do were the basics suggested above (ignore leaves, player leaves, diagonal leaves) + let all types of wood be logged with all types of leaves. 5/5.
This should be the #1 tree plugin on Spigotmc. Extremely configurable, no lag, choose your tree felling animation, works with whatever you set it up for including diagonal leaves, specific enchants required, lores, etc. Config file is well documented and default config will work fine for most people. Can be configured to break other things such as mushrooms, ores etc. Developer is great, added two small feature requests right away, very impressed!
This is one of the best customizable tree felling plugins I've found! If something didn't quite work how I wanted it, there was always an option in the config. After some "shopping around," it became apparent that this plugin chops down trees a bit more intelligently than other other plugins too.
Thank you for providing constant updates for this. We have a mining world that lets our users go absolutely crazy cutting down trees, and with this, it makes it much easier.
If you set log-behavior to FALL in the config, the tree will fall to the side as individual blocks, although not very realistically. (A more realistic fall is in the works)
However, if you’re referring to Dynamic trees style falling animation, there’s currently no option for that as it would cause more than 8x the lag, in addition to causing issues on /reload or server restart.
Version: 1.7.1
Cross-sections is an awesome feature, that's really cool. Thanks for all the quick bugfixes.
This will be fun, thanks! I can use a hidden unicode character to blacklist the name from the anvil, and include the magic character in the custom recipe's DisplayName output.
When I start the plugin, it does make some mistakes:
[Server] INFO [TreeFeller] - Maximum logs: 2,147,483,647
[Server] INFO [TreeFeller] - Max Height: 2,147,483,647
This is repeated for each tree type.
And for each of the tools:
[Server] INFO [TreeFeller] - Maximum durability: 2,147,483,647
I love how customizable this is. I'll be able to create all kinds of different tree-felling tools with the Tool config options.
It really needs a reload command though before I'm going to do that. I would have to restart my server 20-30 times to test them. An option to suppress the extremely verbose startup logs will be important, too.
Can I suggest a YML node for each tool which can be targeted with a permission? This would add huge extensibility with other plugins and existing ranks, jobs, etc!
Those mistakes you mentioned are just quirks of how it works. Unless you specifically set a maximum, it defaults to the biggest number it can handle.
It works with the existing /reload command, but I can add a special one for it.
What do you mean by the extremely verbose startup logs?
Thanks for the suggestion about the permissions, I will add that now. :D
Version: 1.1
I just want to say, are you a genius? When I used the custom terrain plugin, all the other tree cutting plugins failed. You solved the problem.Plus the flexible customization of plugins, Other plugins are totally incomparable,Thank you very much!
