This is probably my favorite plugin ever. You can customize almost anything about the world. I use it in all of my servers.

Modrinth only has Terra up to 1.21.1. We are now on version 1.21.4. Terra does not support the latest 3 versions.

First of all, this is a free and very good terrain plugin, and its performance is better than other terrain plugins! And I ran smoothly in 1.19.3

Not a world for survival, mega trees, mega mountains, mega mushrooms. 50% of the world is mountains, 50% of the caves are full of water. water dissapears in chunks, dont use you have been warned.

The plugin does not work on 1.19.3, not on 1.19.4, no matter how much I try to set it up so that it works, it does not work! The people who made this plugin are amazing, I have never seen such a well done and successful terrain generator. When I compare with terralith, it has nothing to do, terralith is far behind. And yet Terralith is in the top of the best Minecraft world generators. And besides it's free, it's sad that this shit rots the reputation of this plugin

Super world generator, already the default world is great but there are also packs possible to add as one for the End which greatly improves the default End of minecraft!

Terrible support in the discord. Asked a question and was berated by a "Helper". After searching through the discord and thoroughly reading the documentation found a confusing statement regarding biomes. The context was confusing so I asked for clarification.

The helper I asked for clarification with proceeded to tell me I should have read the context surrounding their statement that biomes would disappear in version 6.3. Since this seemed like an incredibly important thing regarding terra, I wanted to make sure I understood clearly what they meant.

Why would you tell me to read the context? Don't you think someone who is actually checking for repeated questions in a discord is already doing their due diligence to ensure they aren't just asking stupid repeated questions?

After a back and forth they finally clarified what they said. Just a nightmare experience, why was this interaction so toxic?

Here was the original statement, not directed in a response at anyone in particular, which prompted the confusion.

"as of terra 6.3 all biomes will be gone so you'll loose all biome colors and stuff"

Here is the clarified statement.

"if you had read the context like I told you to you would know that biomes will be removed from the world when you remove terra from your server"

I don't see how this was supposed to be derived from the first statement, especially given that the message was not in reply to anyone in particular.

The plugin is fine. Just hope you don't have to deal with this person like I did.

Better than Iris for sure. Unlike Iris, This world is more player friendly. The trees aren't that huge, the colors are amazing. Everything is amazing!

Wonderful plugin with beautiful terrain with room for customization for what I need. It's a little difficult to learn things, but the plugin developer has been consistently helpful and active so it's easy to not mind the learning curve.

I can't figure out how to begin with using the image to worls feature, the docs are barely built and the support on the Discord is based on whether or not anyone knows the answer off the top of their head, as I asked about datapacks that add structures and if they need anything special to get them working and I hadn't gotten a reply in a week. I'd like to use the plugin but there seems to be no way to know how without trial and error.

Terra is hands-down the most accessable, interesting, and performing world-generator.

Easy to install if you want to use its default (which various screenshots will show) or develop your own custom biome/pack to generate into your world!

Some minor oddities here and there, but otherwise a very beautiful world awaits.

Terra is one of those jack-of-all trades, but comes at the cost of learning if you'd like to more in-depth with it.

It does great in customization, performance, stability, fast updates, and appeal to the average player. (Also, it's free!)

I've created my own biome with it, and that's as far as I'll go for now until I have more time.

Overall, Terra is an incredible world generator at the cost of nothing.

Terra is simply the greatest world generation plugin to ever grace SpigotMC. Terra provides such an incredible amount of customizability and allows you to create your ideal world down to the last block. There may be a slight learning curve, but if you passed high school geometry, Terra configurations should become second nature in no time.

10/10 Plugin, Great documentation and an amazing default pack, the work dfesk, Duplex, solo, Astrash and the rest of the contributors have done is insane.

While never needing to use their community support channels as the plugin setup is simple and well documented and I've never had an issue with the plugin it's self, but from what I've seen in their support channels they all seem extremely helpful. I wouldn't take "ghosteee" current review seriously as they not only had a cracked minecraft server and cracked account, they also failed to read the documentation.

0/10 support. It used to work back in february, but now when i install it and it drops some error and the owner of this plugin is useless at helping.

plugin would be probably kind of good, but the documentation is so poor that there is not a single word about installing or using or modifying a pack.
Originally I was coming to use this plugin as replacement for betterend, but turns out they didn't even made it, and if they did, you wouldn't know how to install it either.
I recommend using terraform generator instead, much better plugin also for free.

Plugin is awesome, amazing, everything, totally 5 star worthy, but the development is extremly slow (hasn't been an update that works with 1.18 and only 1 small change this whole year).

It might have decent capabilities, but the full lack of error logging, broken tooling, outdated documentation made merely for people that already understand 95% of the plugin and rude support make these capabilities worthless.

Incredible generation. The terrain creates so many great locations to build.
Only annoying thing is that the default generation is spaghetti like and continents would be nice

After a long search for worlds generators, I had to try lots of premium resources which promise the best performance.
After I gave it a try, it didn't disappoint, it's better than any paid resource, keep it up, 200% recommended

I've already posted a few reviews for Terra but few is not enough. The most amazing world generator on all fronts, and best of all, it's free and open source. It's crazy what we're taking for granted here. I wouldn't mind this being premium since it vastly exceeds even what is considered 'premium' quality on this platform.
Take it easy with v6 development, don't wear yourself out too much :-)

I am just using the default config pack and my server members are already loving it. I can't see any lag with world gen, and no problems (with the plugin, you might get problems if you wrote config packs wrong). Just that betterend config pack does not work. But that isn't part of this plugin so I am fine with that. 5+ stars

I really agree with this plugins motive. The fact that if you wanted any alternative generation to the vanilla you'd have to buy some plugin, with questionably good code sucked.

Great plugin that allows you full access to worldgen and the ability to add custom biomes, generation features, structures, and more.

The devs who work on this plugin do it for free (its a open source plugin) and its much better than any other worldgen plugin on the market (most of which cost excessive amounts for the little they provide.)

Horrible. It is slow and has lots of bugs, and the configuration is minimal.

They won't resolve bugs, even if they know that they exist. If you send them a CRITICAL bug or a incompatibility with another plugin, they will say

"We don't support cracked servers" and ban you.

It is horrible, with lazy developers.

A damn good plugin. Fix a few bugs and it will easily become one of the greatest world generators.

Cool concept, but villages, outposts, and monuments don't work, so if you like any of those things you're out of luck here. also leaves floating liquids instead of the nice cascading effect you would normally get that fills in dips.

I tried following a guide to make it only generate the trees, but that just broke the structure generation entirely for me so that doesn't seem to be working right now either.

I know its marked as a beta, but those are big features to strip out of the game currently.

Pros:
- World becomes actually amazing

Cons:
- Ocean monuments do not spawn guardians
- Pillager outposts do not spawn pillagers
- No nether fortresses at all
- No bastion remnants at all
- No mansions at all
- Chunk generation is very sub-optimal and may cause massive TPS drops

Final review: A massive headache; good only if u know how to fork and develop the missing parts yourself.

Absolutely brilliant world generator, especially with shaders. Better than any other ones I have seen.

The above-ground terrain generation is fantastic by default. However, the default cave generation isn't the greatest as it all looks kind of unnatural compared to vanilla's generation.

Who needs mc 1.18 (aside from height limit ig) we have this lol (dont get me wrong im still excited for 1.18)

Unlike the other terrain plugins, this one actually delivers a great product that works properly!

Outlasts and beats any terrain generator I've ever used before. Best of all, is it's free! What more could you ask?

You're doing yourself a disservice by not using this as your worldgen plugin. Documentation on the github is very good too. I can't believe it's not a paid plugin.

This is a GREAT PLUGIN.. BUT, There are many issues. First of all, it prevents strongholds from generating which means as an owner or admin you need to make a portal or warp manually to the end and also makes eyes or ender worthless. When you throw eyes they lead you to nothing. ANOTHER THING... Ocean monuments are completely scuffed... they don't spawn any guardians. Again, this is a really nice plugin, it works great! But the devs need to fix those two crucial issues. I have it and use it on my server but I've had to find workarounds for those two annoying bugs.

Very solid for where it's at. Some things missing in the default configuration but the more impressive thing is how much is there already. We're actually using this on our "experimental" server and it's been great, like I said a few things missing (ships, mansions, some trees won't grow, etc) but overall we are enjoying it very much and looking forward to what it will turn into as it rounds out and we do more configs.

I've tried a lot of different world generation plugins, this one definitely takes the cake. It looks great with the default config, but is still highly customizable and the support is amazing.

Found this plugin by accident.. and glad I did.
World generation is far more 'natural' compared to another paid plugin I have used.
This is in Beta.. so some things may not be implemented but the basic world generation works 100% straight 'out of the box' on a Paper 1.16.5 build 457 server.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this plugin develops and can't wait to learn how to make my own custom worlds.

The best custom generation plugin that exists, I have been using it for months and with a good pre-generated world, it works as if it were a custom resource. Also, with the latest update that takes advantage of a Paper commit, the resource has established itself as the best generator for worlds!

Mark my words, this will be known as one of the greatest Minecraft plugins of all time, up there with Essentials, WorldEdit, and LuckPerms.

It's just incredible, and has crazy performance. Unlike other plugins similar to Iris, Iris actually eats a lot of performance in the background even it's doing nothing. Terra uses minimal performance usage when generating, and no performance at all when it's not being used. It's very versatile, extremely customizable, highly stable, and a premium product in my opinion!

You've coded a paradise, the world (with basic config) is amazing, wihout custom yet, everything is beautiful.

The reason why I didn't rate 5 stars is that all the Minecraft structures aren't generating. At the time idk if we can enable any option but by default, it should be on. (I know that it's hard to custom entire villages to make it generate and that coding such a plugin is hard, but it'll be cool if you added that). Plus, I think there is to much opening to caves, they aren't supposed to be suggested to players, but made to make them try to find it, caves are custom for some of it, but still a bit large (btw, some caves are large but empty, neither or nor custom cave....), just to let you know what in my opinion makes your plugin almost perfect.

This thing deserves 5 stars just for being free and its why section, and ultimately because it's actually good.

It's outstanding how a small team or a couple of people can literally change the world generation of Minecraft, no cap this is 20/10 keep grinding mate.

This is literally the best world generator I could find, even better and more optimized than the developer forgotten EWG, and much faster than OTG, with more customization.

This is absolutely amazing :O! It runs so smoothly, and the chunk almost loads as fast as I can fly. I AM SUPER AMAZED !! :DD

Even with the default config I'm very satisfied with the results. It's very easy to add your own biomes and structures. It has a long way to go until it's perfect but they're really putting in the work. All around, this plugin can make your server so much better, whether you're making a whole RPG type thing or just plain old survival.

I've been a plugin developer for over 3 years now, and I've been making servers for 4. I've never written a review on Spigot in the entire time I've been active, but frankly, this plugin needed one.

I personally understand how frustrating it is to be a server owner and have to purchase every single bit of interesting plugin out there for a price that's probably not worth it, or feel left aside when the developers do not really reply. LIkewise, as a developer, I've made hundreds of plugins by now, and I understand how tiring it is to keep a project up, let alone make it for free when the scope of it is this large.

Noting what I stated above, I am in shock with how well this generator looks, even on default configuration. I've checked the source code, and the way its written is beautiful and as efficient as it gets.

Not to mention, the design of this combined with its unbeatable price completely destroys the competition. I happen to own a terrain generator, and not only do I dislike the closed source and downright distasteful license practices, I frankly think it's not even that good. A lot of these generators try to just make a smooth huge mountain, whilst losing the sweet taste that the vanillian Minecraft look has to offer.

What makes this even funnier is that all of this is still BETA. That's the biggest irony, for such a good terrain generator you could probably get away with saying it's done, or even with giving it a price. Yet, you decided to stay modest and that's really admirable.

In short, I'd like to personally say that I am looking forward to seeing where this plugin progresses, maybe even helping out where I can. I really admire you for taking the plunge for all of us and making a generator that easily beats many, if not all, for completely free. Good luck in the future with this project!

No other terrain generator has matched Terra's swift conquest as the ultimate world generator. This resource has been out for less than a month and I am completely stunned.

Terra is an amazing terrain generator for 1.16 servers. It thumps its competitors, free and even paid resources are blown out of the water by Terra's brilliance. Breathtaking terrain, no stupid tree or cave designs, no endless hills or repetitive decorations. Hey, even if you wanted that, Terra allows you to configure that yourself. It's everything I could ask for in a terrain generator.

As you know, Terra is open source and free. For a terrain generator, this is rare as a common misconception on this platform is that they must be premium. Surprise, the best terrain generator's being released for free, and the code is all available to you to take a look at or even contribute as some already have.

Terra made me both glad and disappointed that it updates far more frequently than the paid world generator I purchased a month ago, for which it seems I am endlessly waiting for a proper stable update to be pushed out.

Another thing to note about Terra is that it is a config-defined world generator. Nothing hard-coded. A vast amount of terrain generators are driven by hard-coded values. Sure, they offer a minute amount of configuration such as cave noises, schematics, etc, but nothing compared to Terra.

There's a lot more to talk about, such as the decent performance, but this review is long as it is.

Hats off to the developer and all of the contributors for finally unlocking more of what Minecraft's terrain generation potential has. If I start up a server making at least enough gains to support itself, I will be donating to support this great project.

An functional and easy to understand generator.

Compared to every other generator I've tried, Terra takes the cake as the easiest to customize and use. I like the potential, but with 1.17 around the corner, i don't know if i will find myself using it.

I enjoyed tinkering around with it, and I will probably try to do so again, after its had some more default biomes/structures/etc added.

At first when I saw this I thought it would be a Terraform Generator copycat (due to the naming and general scheme). However, loading it up, it blows Terraform Generator FAR away. From what I can tell, Terra is extremely optimized, super customizable (you can completely configure your own world generation), and has extremely fast support (for me it was instant, prob got lucky). Overall, 5/5 rating, I can see this plugin going to great places :D

I had to ditch the world generator I paid for a week ago due to satisfactory generation and poor performance. I strongly believe that Terra is going to solve those issues - plus, it's open source. What more could you ask for?
