sZombie-Apocalypse | Survive Now!is not just another zombie plugin. It is a complete overhaul of the survival experience, designed to plunge your server into a desperate, evolving, and truly challenging post-apocalyptic world. The apocalypse is not a static event; it's a
progressive clock that ticks down, making the world more hostile with each passing day. Your players won't just fight zombies—they will fight for their very existence against the environment, thirst, and a deadly infection.
This plugin focuses on atmosphere, resource scarcity, intelligent threats, and unparalleled configurability to create the zombie survival server you've always dreamed of.
Core Features
1. The Progressive Apocalypse Clock
The world dynamically becomes more dangerous over time, forcing players to adapt their strategies from early-game survival to late-game fortification.
- Phase 1: The Outbreak (Days 1-7): The beginning of the end. Zombies are slightly stronger, faster, and no longer burn in daylight. The world still feels familiar, but an unsettling danger looms.
- Phase 2: The Horde (Days 8-30): The undead are organizing. Special infected begin to appear, and massive, wandering hordes now roam the landscape. Food and resources become scarce. The infection is a common threat.
- Phase 3: The Overrun (Days 31+): Humanity has lost. The world grows dark under a perpetual cloud of ash. Hordes are massive and frequent, special infected are a constant menace, and zombies will relentlessly test the defenses of your players' bases.
2. A New Breed of Undead
Vanilla zombies are a thing of the past. Our zombies are smarter, faster, and deadlier.
- Intelligent AI: Zombies are attracted to sound from greater distances. Breaking blocks, explosions, and even opening chests can draw unwanted attention. They will actively try to break down weak points in a player's base.
- Special Infected:
- Sprinter: A fast, agile zombie that will quickly close the distance and cause panic.
- Brute: A slow, terrifyingly tanky zombie that can break through stronger defenses and take immense punishment.

3. Deep Survival Mechanics
This isn't just about fighting; it's about staying alive.
- Thirst System: A thirst bar is added next to hunger. Players must find, purify, or collect clean water to survive. Dehydration leads to weakness, fatigue, and eventually, death.
- Infection System: Being hit by a zombie carries a chance of contracting the deadly zombie virus. The infection progresses through debilitating stages—from weakness and hunger to nausea and poison—unless a rare cure is found.
- Reanimation: A player who dies while infected will reanimate at their death location as a powerful "Player Zombie," equipped with all their gear. Getting your items back means facing your old, undead self.
4. A Desolate and Dangerous World
The world itself is your enemy.
- Automatic Spawning: Forget safe daylight hours. Our custom spawning system ensures the world is always a threat. Small groups of zombies can spawn near players at any time, and massive hordes can be triggered automatically, making exploration a constant risk.
- Resource Scarcity: Natural ore generation and passive mob spawns are reduced, forcing players to scavenge ruins and abandoned structures for vital supplies.
Commands & Permissions
Everything is controlled through a simple and powerful admin command.
Main Command: /sz or /szadmin
- /sz reload - Reloads the configuration file.
- /sz cure <player> - Cures a player of the zombie infection.
- /sz setday <day> - Manually sets the apocalypse clock to a specific day to test phases.
- /sz spawn <type> [amount] [player] - Spawns a specific special infected.
- /sz triggerhorde <size> [player] - Manually spawns a horde of a specific size.
Permissions:
- szombie.admin - Grants access to all /sz commands. (Default: OP)
- szombie.bypass.infection - Prevents a player from ever contracting the infection. (Default: false)
Highly Configurable
We believe server owners should have total control. Our extensive, well-commented config.yml allows you to tweak almost every aspect of the plugin:
- Enable or disable major features like thirst and infection.
- Adjust zombie health, damage, and speed for every apocalypse phase.
- Set the exact chance of infection and the duration of its stages.
- Fine-tune the size, frequency, and spawn chance of both ambient zombies and wandering hordes.
- Define exactly which blocks zombies can break.
