The ultimate skript to control the chat of your Minecraft server! With a lot of features like; turning the chat off (Except for players that are in the ChatPermission::* list), anti-advertising, spam preventing, no swearing, muting players and so much more (Check them in the features section)!

This skript has reached 1000+ downloads! That is because this skript is actually the only one left that is still active and useful for your minecraft server 1.12 and above! I haven't test minecraft versions below 1.12, but it is possible that this skript is also working well versions below 1.12.

This skript can be controlled in-game with a GUI menu. But also with commands. But why you should use a GUI menu? Well here are a few reasons:

• A GUI menu is much faster then using commands. It saves a lot of time, because you don't have to type every command.

• It's much clearer, making it user-friendly for everyone.

• With these items in the GUI menu they give some information what it does to make it more clear for you as player or server owner what it will do to you or your Minecraft server.

This skript will bring some warnings with it, please read all the options below that can hapen or will hapen when downloading this file.

• The latest update has reduced the file size. So this warning has been reduced a little bit. First the file size was 40KB and now ~22KB with the same features! Isn't that amazing! This will improve the performance!

• This skript needs some addons to work. Find these addons in the 'Requirements' section. Scroll a little bit down to find it. Without these the skript can't perform.

• When downloading this file, you should only make changes in it when you know what you're doing. Don't be afraid. Just download this skript again and everything works fine

• The GUI menu's aren't working in some Skript versions for Minecraft versions below my latest tested Minecraft version 1.16. Not all of them, but you are still able to use the commands. You only get errors in the chat while loading or reloading the skript.
• When you have installed some other skripts that used the chat

• like to give you a prefix or for your username in-game, this skript will work but not as it used to do. When swearing or chatting while you can't, you get the error. But you can still chat!

A lot of you guys might use commands instead of the GUI menu, but you should know what each command will do and which features it brings with it when executed. Well happy for you I made a list of the avaiable commands that can be used in-game.

There are more commands in the file, you might see these when you open the file, but the commands I didn't mentioned down below are used for the GUI menu, so you should better not use these commands by using the '/'.



Format command: /chatcontrol <arg> <arg> <arg>

• /chatcontrol - (Changable in the settings GUI) Will open the menu or the help list.

• /chatcontrol help <page number> - Shows a help list with different pages.

• /chatcontrol reload - Reload this skript.

• /chatcontrol clear - This will clear the chat.

• /chatcontrol commandDo <help / menu> - This will allow you when using only /chatcontrol to show the help list or the menu.

• /chatcontrol chat <on / off> - This will turn on or off the chat. Very helpful when there are a lot of players put in one server and they're spamming the whole chat. There is also an option to add players to a ChatPermission::* list so they can talk when the chat is turn off.

• /chatcontrol antiAd <on / off> - This function will enables you to prevent players from advertising in the chat.

• /chatcontrol antiSpam <on / off> - This function will enables you to prevent players from spamming.

• /chatcontrol antiSwear <on / off> - This function will enables you to prevent players from swearing. You can customize these words.

• /chatcontrol mentionPlayers <on / off> - This function enables you to mention players in the chat. There names will be blue when mentioned.

• /chatcontrol mentionPlayersSound <on / off> - This function enables you to mention players with a sound, so players will look faster in the chat.

• /chatcontrol antiCaps <on / off> - This function enables a feature that prevent players from using to many capslock letters in their chat.

• /chatControl swearlist <add / remove / list> <word> - Add or remove a word to the swear list of the server. Also you can see a list of the words.

• /chatcontrol chatPermission <add / remove / list> <player> - Already mentioned in the /chatcontrol chat command, you can add players to a list to enable them talking when the chat is turned off. Also you can see a list of the words.

• /chatcontrol advertise <add / remove / list> <word> - Add or remove a word from the anti-advertising list. Like www, https, http, .com, etc. Also you can see a list of the words.

• /chatcontrol mute list - Shows a list of all muted players.

Some default commands that have been improved with this skript.
A few of these commands already exist in Minecraft by default. Or with other plugins. But with this skript they get replaced and improved.

• /mute <player> <reason> - Mute a player with a reason. These players can be shown in a list via the GUI menu.

• /unmute <player> - Unmute a muted player.

F*** a bug!
With every update that comes to ChatControl there will be new features or some bugs that have been fixed. I can't always find these bugs by myself so I need your help!

In the tab 'updates' of this resource you can find all the recent updates that have come to ChatControl. Check these out and find what's new and what's fixed. Stay up with the latest version of this skript. To get the newest features!


Also in the skript file, you're able customize some options for the skript that are not changable in-game. In featured updates I'll add so much as possible settings that can be changed in-game instead of in the file to make it so much easier for you as player or server owner to use this skript.

How to install this skript?

2. Drag and drop the file in to the following path from your server: /plugins/skript/scripts/
3. Make sure you have Skript and the addons above installed.
4. Restart the server if skript isn't installed. Else just run the following command: /sk reload ChatControl
