Really nice plugin! took me a little bit to figure out how to set it up. (city's in the states the name you put in for the country is "US" instead of the state name or any of the many other ways to do that but that's a open weather thing not a this plugin thing)
no wiki and refused to work and for some reason keeps not loading my time zone. i looked up my regions city and everything but refuses to work. i know where i live but the plugin thinks otherwise ig
Works like I want it to, reminds me to go to bed when it gets dark! lol
But my little family server really enjoys this plugin and I just enjoy the novelty of it. Haven't been able to test to see if the weather is working yet as it hasn't rained here but hopefully I set everything up right.
Thanks for your rating.
This problem has been resolved in the newer versions.
Version: 2.13
The concept behind this plugin is very nice. Granted, it's one that has been idealized for a while now, it is still great to see a plugin form of this idea.
There is one major issue with the way this plugin was programmed. The plugin works by ticks and updates as per those. But, the inconvenience behind that is that ticks do not line up with "Seconds" perfectly. If some were using this plugin for small servers that do not stay online that long then it'd be fine. But, over time the plugin would grow out of sync with real time.
Luckily there is an extremely easy fix to this. Ordinarily a player could do this but it would be quite the hassle. What you can do is have players set the gamerule for daylight cycle and weather cycle off (or code that into the plugin), and then have the plugin manually update the time, rather than relying on ticks. You could do this via an api key to a timezone clock. It would be very easy to recode.
Another idea would be to simply add a line(s) of code that simply makes the plugin update itself in order to stay on par with the time zone rather then, again, relying on ticks. You would have an initial bit of code that updates the world time according to the specified timezone, then the plugin would update itself. That would create a repeating cycle of world time updates that would be very accurate. And how quickly the plugin updates wouldn't matter since the time would always be updated to the correct value.
Also, a great way to see if ticks really are off is to create a repeating redstone circuit (if you don't know how, you can find this on youtube. There are tons of videos).
That's my review. Great, amazing concept. It could just use a little bit of adjustment for it to completely follow through and function properly.
Thanks for your rating.
I will try to work on a new version soon
Version: 2.13
I like the plugin very much, but i'm missing the option to define more than one timezone. If you use multiple worlds it could be nice to have one with day, one with night usw.
Also, if you could give the option to say "if the region contains z.b. "NoRealTime" ignore those" - so that they wont update every few seconds, sadly its not compatible with the worldguard "time-lock" function. (Not sure if this changed in the meantime, because we updated to 1.15 a few days after we noticed this)
And why does the time not match the real time? Like, we have 22:35 now, server says, its 22:21 -> at the beginning, it was correct, now it is not...?
Edit: Also, the rain wont stop, commands like /sun do not react anymore. The weather function is disabled.
Very good plugin, if you want to spend the night when you are several on the server, the animation is nice but is not done all the time for some unknown reason, the developer seems motivated to advance the plugin and do updates to fix bugs, if you need a plugin to spend the night when you are several, go download the plugin
Very good plugin that runs perfectly on my server. Quick and easy configuration! I hope that the author will add support for version 1.16, which is already in days :)
Nice plugin! Really works! But an idea. Please add a way to disable the time spamming in chat or maybe a different way like on an actionbar or something. Its quite annoying when the time is spams
Thanks for your rating. An update for the 1.15.2 will come soon.
Version: 2.4
Hallo,
Thanks for your rating. I will try to update the plugin to the 1.15.2 in the next days.
Version: 2.3
Great plugin, really loving this for our (in dev.) themepark server! But I noticed that the time isn't correctly as the time on the pc, is this normal?
This plugin works so good and I love it! I think that you can be add the command "/realtime reload" to reload the configuration. Thanks for creating this plugin!
