Hello! I am a player in Vietnam server. I can say I quite like your plugin but there is 1 problem that makes the plugin not attractive that is the plugin resource pack is not beautiful. If possible, I think you should remake the resource pack for the plugin to make it's more insane.

The best weapons plugin I have been able to find, 5 stars earned. I would also like to leave some suggestions to see if they could be added to improve.

- A list of worlds in which pvp with weapons is allowed or not (I tried using world guard but it did not block damage between players)

- when you use shift to aim and try to give a headshot this is effective around 30 blocks but if it goes beyond that range even if you aim at a mob/player the projectile will deviate from the center I don't know if I could fix that

- if possible add weapon variants with silencers.

- (I don't know how useful this suggestion can be) that when firing a weapon without a silencer it makes mobs around the player go towards him.

- if possible add weapons/others such as (Javelin, Explosive Mines, Claymore, Flares) And I think that would be all in terms of things I could mention if they could be added.

The plugin is great, but I think you should change it a bit because the plugin is very difficult to control. Instead of right-clicking, it's left-clicking and the auto mode is very difficult to set, so if possible, please adjust it. Change the shooting button to the right mouse button and the aiming button to the left mouse so it will be very easy to control and fix

The ressource pack is great, But theres is a lot of bugs per Example if you hold shift when holding Fusion Cell ammo weapons, The ammo would be infinite... Your plugin idea is great, but implementation is nonsense. My server literally goes down in tps(It has 24 gigs of RAM and beefy CPU) when i shoot from my custom Maxim gun. And only I shoot from this gun, no one else.

I read the sources from your plugin, and i have no idea how to optimize this. Your code is literally unreadable and mind-melting. You learnt java before optimizing, but i learn optimizing before java. I think, you have no idea how to use return function and if-statements. You even don't know about usage of switch(){}.

Wipe your trash-code, learn how other good programmers optimize their plugins, and rewrite that in human language. DO NOT BUILD LADDERS FROM IF-STATMENTS! DO NOT USE MATH.RANDOM() INSTEAD OF BASIC RANDOM.NEXTINT()! DO NOT DIVIDE ON CONSTANT! USE THE QUICKEST BINARY SHIFTS INSTEAD OF SLOW INTEGER DIVIDING!

Rate only 3 stars from 5. Due to absense of optimization.

This plugin is really incredible! I like the models a lot, and it works quite well for the purpose I am using it for currently (A Call of Duty: Zombies inspired minigame) The sounds aren't too loud by default, my only complaint is the lack of knives (correct me if I am wrong, it isn't a big deal either way).

Out of genuine curiosity: Is there a way that I can check (using a chain of command blocks) if the player has a specific level or amount of XP, and if they have that amount, and they press a button, to give them the weapon specified in the command? Apologies if the wording is confusing, and thanks in advance.

Please, understand, we (developers) are human too and we also have personal problems. I hope the author is going well and return soon.

For now, I've updated the plugin on github until the developer returns.
Some issues (really important ones) have been fixed in this release.
IMPORTANT: I have no intention to add new features or fix specific issues as I don't even use the plugin and just downloaded it today for the first time, please don't insist. I just made it possible to run on 1.17.x servers without spam.
I just realized today that the author was inactive so I decided to help him a bit with this. Once he's back, my fork will be removed.

This has been fixed:
- Fixed prefix not displayed with color.
- Fixed issue with action bar.
- Fixed issue with infinite ammo.
- Fixed spam in console when firing weapons (related to infinite ammo).

I'll give it 5 star but can someone help me why does it take too much durability of armour? I can't use this plugin because like 40-50 bullets takes down half of durability of unbreaking 3 netherite armour. Plsss helppp!!!!!

Working 99% perfect on Paper 1.17.1, only issue i currently have is a warn caused by hotbar messages for shoot and reload which i have disabled in in the config, aside that issue it's working perfectly on the above version. The Developer has clearly stated on Discord in announcements exactly why they have ended development, they didn't have to release what i call personal reasons for doing so but they've been very open, giving the Developer a poor review for this is below the belt and very inconsiderate showing no empathy. At some point someone will pick up where the Dev left off because plugins like Quality Armory are far too great of a plugin to see fester in the plugin graveyard.

You can almost configure anything for the guns, it has a variety of guns and some explosives. However, some of the guns have unlimited ammo, i wish the devs would review the issue and fix it. Besides that, i appreciate the dev for making this plugin.

This plugin is great and we haven't had any issues up until recently. The latest updates have all resulted in incompatibility with plugins such as chestshop. QA uses its own system for handling bullets, without using projectiles.

As of 1.14, what happens is a cross bow with a custom model nbt tag is interacted with - > the plugin listens to it - > does its own check to determine if it hits anyone -> and then uses bukkit's default damaging system to damage the other entity.

I'm not sure which id you would need, but I hope this explanation helps.

Quality Armory is my favorite guns plugin. It's very customisable and easy to learn. It worked flawlessly until recently an error appeared out of nowhere. I tried an older version of QA but it remained.
This error basically prevents other players from attacking someone who is reloading a gun. I'm not sure exactly how but its very random. No error appears in the console so I have no clue what is going on. For about 2 seconds after a player uses a gun or reloads it, they are immune to any attacks from both vanilla swords and guns.

Aim for the gun and disconnect the server, When I log back in, I have two guns in my hand. If you move the mouse scroll button and aim with another gun, you will have two guns. This is a really serious bug. I hope it gets fixed quickly.

Since QA needs specific data tags to work, the plugin either needs to depend on QA specifically or depend on ItemBridge to let you add QA items. Unless it does that, I do not know if you can add them to the chest.

This is best plugin ever. I was surprised that it was compatible with Sentinels plugin. This is probably my major pointers on my statement below.

I just hope the you add NPC pointing guns like the actual crossbow instead of it pointing at the ground and increase the accuracy option for npc. For players, this already customizable and has rooms for improvement but I really wanted that it also works similar for NPC. I've seen mythic mobs compatible but I pretty much use sentinels for companion mode where you bring a squad with you with guns only that they the npc shoot more accurate, ability to change the fire rate, and ability to point gun at the enemy. Please do so. I wish NPC Sentinels works even better with it.

In conclusion: I recommend to use this for server who just love shooters and building.

Works flawlessly. I love this plugin and is pretty awesome. The only fact that is missing and not fault of the plugin is that you cannot give two consecutive hits with the weapon, there's like a cooldown on hit but not this plugin fault.

Sadly, no. Minecraft does not support any listeners for if a player is holding down LMB, so there is no way for QA to know if a player does it. For now, hold down shift when firing to enable automatic firing.

If you want to summon a chest so you can get a weapon, you could just use /qa give <gun> or use the /qa shop menu.

As for your other question, this is intentional. Ammo and guns should be able to be picked up with hoppers.

1.8 and 1.9 use different methods for adding models. In 1.8, an item type needs to be replaced in order to display a model, and you can only have one model per item. However, in 1.9+, you can have over 1000 models for one item. This is why there are only 20 guns in 1.8, but close to 100 in 1.9+

The last time I checked, the 1.8 resourcepack worked. I'll check it again and see if I can fix this issue.

Do you mean *Iron* Axe, or Diamond Axe? If it is iron, have you made any changes to the default config.yml?

If it's for the diamond axe, then this is a known issue and will be fixed in the next update.

1) When I aim, I get a diamond axe that pops up rather than the aiming logo and it prevents me from firing in ADS. How do I fix this?

1) This is a known issue, and is something that will be fixed in the next update.

2) Yeah, you need to sneak in order to activate full-auto, but that also raises the sights which breaks the gun. All of this will be fixed in the next update.

If you use /qa sendResourcepack, do you see the title message? If you do, and the resourcepack is not being applied, then most likely you denied the RP in the past and minecraft will continue denying it automatically.

To fix this, go into the Multiplayer options menu, click your server, click Edit Server, and change the resourcepack option to Prompt.

If the RP is not being sent even after setting it to prompt, try using /qa getResourcepack and manually install the RP through the link.

1. Headshots are instant-kill by default. You can disable this option in the config.
2. Certain guns have higher damage by default (like sniper rifles and the .50 cal). If you feel certain guns are too powerful, you can reduce the damage of the gun in the gun's yml file (remember to set AllowUserUpdates to true before making changes, or else they won't be applied).
3. I'm not sure what the second line is supposed to mean.
4. If you're computer is having difficulties rendering all the particles, you can increase "BulletTrailsSpacing" to reduce the amount of particles spawned. Currently, it is every 0.5 blocks by default. Try increasing it to 2 or 3 and see if that helps.

This is a great plugin. I used to use crackshot on my old server way back in the day and I'm setting up a new server now using this.

My only complaint. WHY is that stupid message forced when logging into the server about the resource pack causing a crash? There seems to be no way to remove it, when I delete the text in messages.yml it just reappears. There's no toggle in the regular config without disabling the request to use the resourcepack altogether. I don't understand. It's incredibly annoying.

The message is forced due to the large amount of users who reported that they or their users were crashing loading the resourcepack. They seem to be crashing either due to them having a bad internet connection or if they use a slow computer (which, unsurprisingly, seems to be a large portion of mc players) Basically, that message is automatically sent so that there would be less complaints if/when they crash.

I'll add an option in the config to disable that message. For now, you can edit the message so that it contains no letters (by just putting ' ' ).

When in the multiplayer menu, make sure that the resourcepack setting for your server is set to "PROMPT" or "ACCEPT".

If there is still a problem with QA uninstalled, check to make sure the URL for your resourcepack in the server.properties is a valid link that goes directly to the file.

Well, I don't really see a need for a custom one. In 1.14, crossbows will be added to the base game.

However, QA does allow you to make and add your own weapons, so if you wanted, you could add a custom crossbow. There is a link to a tutorial on how to make new weapons in the developer's section above.

If you have an issue with the plugin, please post it in the discussions tab.

QA uses the same damaging system as bukkit. As such, plugins that stop damage such as AntiCheat/anti-farreach plugins *can* cause conflicts if they do not account for plugins doing damage. If you can, make a test server with only QA installed and see if you can damage entities then. If you can, then there is a conflict with another one of the plugins. In which case, either remove the conflicting plugin if it is not needed, or post it here and I'll see if I can make a patch for it.

Is it the *Server* (tick speed. FPS stays the same) or the *Client* (FPS drop) this is lagging?

If it's FPS drop, it could be the particles used. If this is the case, I would recommend editing the config so the bullet tracer spacing is set to a larger number (or just reduce the particles settings in the minecraft options menu)

If it is the server, you may not have a powerful enough server to run all the bullet detection. If this is the case, you can go into the config and increase the "bullet step" from 0.1 to somewhere below 0.5 (anything above this could cause bullets to go through walls or not damage players)

I don't know if I can. Most kitPVP type plugins doesn't support adding custom data to their weapons. In order to add guns to them, you would need to be able to specify an "Unbreakable" tag, which makes sure the item cannot be damaged, which is QA uses to make sure the item is a gun. Unless it can support that, there is not much I can do.

Yes. If you want to change the shooting controls from LMB to RMB, or if you want to set looking down sights to be RMB (or LMB if you swap shooting controls) instead of shifting, you can change it in the config.

Currently QA does modify the death message to show that a player was killed by another player with [Gun].

If you mean that you want the ability to log every shot fired, that is probably not something that will be added into the core plugin. Once I finish adding some more API events, you or another developer should be able to easily create a plugin that does this.

Scopes exist for certain guns, and those that do not normally have an ironsight.

Laser/ reddots may be planned for future updates once I find a good way to implement it.

Are you accepting the resourcepack sent by QA? If so, verify that it was applied correctly (check your resourcepacks option menu). If you are not receiving a resourcepack prompt, can you post how exactly I could replicate the problem (what commands did you use, if any, to see the axes?)

I'm not sure about the "viewfinder". What is it supposed to do?

For french accents, you will need to include apostrophes (') before and after the text, *and all cases where you have a single ' in the text needs to be double (so you would need '' to add a single ' )*.

I am open for new models or sounds. Its just hard to find good quality sounds, and harder to find sounds that match a specific gun type that are unique enough to add (you don't want to have a dozen of similar sounds, especially since sound files are the largest filetype for resourcepacks). If you happen to have / know of a place with good gun sounds, I would be happy to add them to QA.

but i think you shoud add "recoil" to guns, it makes the player's head shaking a little when firing to make it more realistic and players will feel like they are playing with the normal gun gameplay as we can see on CS:GO

Currently, there is no good way to change the direction the player is looking. Once I can figure out a smooth way to alter the direction of the player's head, a better recoil system will be added.

Currently, QA does not have any code that affects feet. This is most likely a conflict with another plugin. Could you try replicating the problem on a test server (with no other plugins) to verify that the problem is caused by QA?

That is something I try to do. It takes a lot of effort into recreating models only using small cubes and low-poly textures (which are required to keep the file sizes reasonable).

Are you accepting QA's resourcepack? If you have a server-resourcepack already set, you will either need use /qa getResourcepack to download the resourcepack manually, or download the resourcepack and add the contents of the resoucepack into your server-resourcepack.

Sulfur is the Spigot name for gunpowder for versions 1.12 and lower. Spigot corrected the name in 1.13, so once 1.13 is stable, you should update your server to fix this issue.

#1 Are there any errors when you try to use grenades or RPGs? If so, can you post them? If not, can you describe how exactly they are breaking (do they simply do nothing? Is it that the explosions are broken?)

#2 Precision aiming requires the user to use sights, which either means they need to Sneak or (if you enabled ironsights-on-rightclick) click RMB. Just like in real life, aiming down the signs will make your shots much more precises. Most weapons have them, though the AK47 is currently an exception(Sights for the AK are being worked on).

Are you having difficulties downloading the resourcepack? If so, this may be an issue with your internet connection/computer speed. If accepting the resourcepack makes you crash, use "/qa getResourcepack" and download the resourcepack manually.

If this is not the case, and its that the *server* is crashing or has an error message, could you post the error?

In the plugin it is impossible to translate the word price into another language, it is impossible to translate the name of the store and many of the names of weapons are not translated. When translated into place names remain ????????????. And yet - I want to make automatic weapons fired in bursts without shift, and the default automatic fire would be when you press the LMB. 1.The ability to translate the price and shopname strings will come in the next update .

2. All weapon names can be translated in the current version. However, you will need to disable the updates to all of the gun files, or else the default systems will override the changes. Before changing the displayname, set "allowUpdates" to false in the gun's yml file.

3. I'll add the shifting switch as an optional feature in the next update. It will be optional as it seems more intuitive having shift toggle the automatic firing.(There is no way to detect if a player is holding down the LMB. To get arounnd this, the system checks if the player is shifting. Now, image a new player holding an ak, firing once, and not knowing how to turn it off, since all non-automatic weapons also use the LMB and have no interaction with shift. Then compare that to the current system, where the moment they stop shifting, the firing also stops)

4.First-aid kits are experimental, as they were first designed for a bleed-out system that has not been finished. For grenades and bulletproof vests, their usage should be pretty straight forward (pull the pin and throw. RMB and LMB, While vests block some of the bullet damage if the player is wearing it.)

Seems the code for hotbar messages changed for 1.11. I'll try to add a fix for that update, but you should consider updating your server.

I am an user from China. I am using QualityArmory and I have found out some serious BUGs which could destroy the balance of game. When the player is aiming at whether the monsters or the other players by using the gun to function short range attacks, the gun will change to another item. For example, the AK would be replaced by M4 or bullets. As the durability of the weapons decreases, the weapons will be replaced as the other items. (The server's version is 1.9.4)

Most likely, the user does not have enough processing power to use the resourcepack. Have the user try again, and make sure they do not have any other applications open on their computer. If they still cannot load the resourcepack, have the user use "/qa override" to stop the resourcepack.

There are few bugs when it work with PvpArena. Strike ("hit",not shoot) enemy with anything from this plugin, then it will become another object.

The item changing was a bug for 1.9 and lower. This is a known bug for those update, and is something I am still looking into. However, since all newer updates (1.10 to 1.12) have fixed this glitch, I recommend you update your server if you wish to fix this.

Also, was that the only bug with PVPArena, or were there more? If the latter, can you post the link to one you are using (Since there are multiple plugins with the same name) and list the other bugs?

This is not really possible. 1.8 does not support per-damge-value textures, so each gun requires their own item to be replaced. For every gun added, I need to find an item that could be removed, and the default 1.9+ system currently has over 60 guns.

Nope! The downloads was actually caused by an unintentional issue with an old updater. It used to download the latest jar to compare if the server was using the newest one, which of course counts as a download. If you look at the project page, the newest files have more sane download numbers since I moved to a github updater.

Can you post the server-update you are using, if you are using any protocol hacks, if there are any errors in the console, and if you have changed any of the values in the config (such as enabling visible ammo count for the item icon, or swapping)?

I like the new update, guns still work and everything too! One question, though, how do I configure the shooting speed for the weapons? It's a really neat concept and I wanted to swap the reload buttons so holding right click would be automatic but then I could simply increase the cool down on single fire weapons. :)

For custom guns, you can currently increase the delay by increasing. "delayForShoot". Right now, you cannot really make it any faster when holding down right click (since how fast you click while holding down RMB is determined by the client, not the server).

I'm still working on transferring all default guns, and once that is done, I will try to work on a workaround for increasing the rate of fire.

I do not have many plugins on here and all I know is that I'm using some snapshot version of spigot. I don't ever update my spigot because if it works, it works. It's a small server with 3 people in survival and just me. A quest based, story based server with NPC shops and stuff. I'm sorry that I do not know what direct version of spigot I use, I know how hard creating plugins is because I used to make plugins and mods for a few games back when I was a preteen myself. Before I say anything, I absolutely love this plugin. The developer is always active and pumps out updates about two or three times a week, which is amazing. I used to use Crackshot for a couple of years on 1.8 servers and I recently got into 1.12 and accepted the new combat mechanics. I was initially sad to see CrackShot not supported very well on 1.9 so I searched for alternatives and found this. THIS PLUGIN IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN CRACKSHOT. The custom models are absolutely amazing and me and my friends love this plugin so much, it enhances the server to the point where I couldn't imagine my server without this plugin.

However, there's one issue. I love your activity on this plugin, but I feel like the updates are forced sometimes, even when it's a bit buggy. Yes, I went into the AUpdater folder and I changed it to false. I even copied and pasted the notepad you put at the bottom to ensure I was doing it correctly. However, regardless of what I wanted, it still automatically installed the .70 update but I like the .68 better because that's what I prefer and what works best for me.

The reason I don't like the .70 update is because for some reason, my guns will not work. They act like regular diamond hoes. I just want to be able to play on the .68 version and not have to update until I want to, but I can't seem to do that.

I will rate this 5/5 once I can get this issue resolved. Other than that kind of annoying forced update jargon, it's an absolutely amazing plugin. It just sucks that when me and my friends decide to play some Minecraft, one of them asks why their AK-47 isn't working and I have to tell them that they can't use it today and have to wait until it's fixed.

Also, I used to be able to make it not update but one day it just randomly started updating again. Hm...

First, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you have been having. I try to test as many versions as I can (regular spigot, 1.8 spigot, paperspigot, viaversion,ect.) , but I don't have the time to test every one of them and sometimes can only focus on one or two to make sure the bug I was working on was fixed for the update it was reported on.

I now fully understand that having features break seemingly randomly can be annoying, and have released an update to disable the autoupdater (AUpdater was for the old updater that still used BukkitDev. A couple months ago I updated to a Github updater). You can now disable auto-updating by setting "AUTO-UPDATE" to false in the config.

As for your current problem, can you post which server version you are using, what server-archetecture you are using(base-spigot, paper, taco), if you are using any protocol hacks like viaversion? Also, if there are any errors in the console, can you post them?

The error is caused by a missing dependency. My plugin using PluginConstructorAPI to help send the hotbar messages. The plugin should automatically download this for you, but there must have been a problem if you are receiving this error.

Try downloading the dependency manually here and see if the disappearing gun problem still occurs.

The new rating didn't come with the textures for me so I had to delete my Quality Armory folder and completely regenerate one.
The textures were finally applied but now I can't download the resource pack on join and new players are spawning into the server wondering why they have 15 hoes in their inventories haha. That would be awesome if there was a way to download the resource pack on join again.

Odd. How are you adding the 15 hoes to the inventory? If you are using another plugin to add them, there is a chance that the items are added after my plugin checks (which may be why my plugin is not detecting any)

If you want to force all users to see the gun textures, you can enable sendOnJoin in the config to always send the resourcepack on join.

For the -1 bullet problem, can you post how I could replecate the problem? How fast do I need to shoot (and how would I do that) and does this occur with all guns?

This plugin is really great! The only problem is if I shift-click an item, such as obsidian, into the crafting menu, it stays there, even if I get out of the menu and type /qa craft again. The item will still be in the crafting menu even if I relog. I tested this bug in both op and non-op with qualityarmory.default and the bug works in non-op too.

1) HeadShots and a custom per-limb-damage are being worked on currently.
2)The ability to make custom-made ammo is also coming as well, though that may take longer.
3) This plugin is designed to not replace whole items. Diamond hoes still exist, but a few damage variants are saved for specific items.
4) This is something that I also would like. The current sound system is just meant to be temporary util I can get high quality sounds for each gun.

1) A shop will be added in a future update.
2) I believe you can get that to work as long as you can specify the damage/durability for the diamond hoe (the base item for all guns). Changing the data between 2 and 22 will give you one of the guns.
3) I may consider adding more weapons. I would just need to know how much you are expecting, what you would be willing to give, and what types of guns you are looking for. You can either reply in the discussions section or PM me.

1) When you hit an entity, it seems the data value for the item changes. Which update are you on? Item-Damge-On-Use for hitting (the issue you are currently having) has been fixed in 1.12.

2) That looks like an internal error occurred. Are there any errors in the console when that happens? If so, can you post the FULL console logs?

1. Modifying where the player is looking is impossible without it looking glitchy (because you would need to teleport, the player may stop moving and the camra will be twitchy when shooting)
2.This is currently possible for custom weapons. The ability to add lore to the base-plugin guns will come in the next update.
3. Pumpkin scopes not only affect regular pumpkins, so that would interfere with the base-game (something this plugin is designed not to do). Not only that, but the scopes on the models are added to not only add indeviduallity, but it is astetically better than a 2D HUD (based on everyone who has tested this plugin.)
4) This plugin should already support them, though this has not been tested. Since the damag-by-guns is done using bukkits built in system, those other plugins should be able to handle the bullets
5) No. QA uses instantanous vector checks to produce the bullets. No entities are used, as they look more like hack-jobs in other plugins instead of small rounds (again, this is based on everyone who tested the plugin)
6)Again, not sure how I would do this. Guns are treated as regular items, so a weight system would have to be made in order for adding weights to do anything. Maybe in a future update, but for now, there does not seem to be a use for this.
7) This will be added in a new update.
8) This may be added in another update
9) How would this work? You mean actually speeding up reloads?
10) If you want to add your own custom bullet sounds, you can always edit the resoucepack and set your own resourcepack for the server. After hosting the resoucepack with the custom bullet sounds, go into the config, edit the override-default-resoucepack variable to true and then replace the url with your url.
11) This has already been added. Single fire is left clicking, while shifting+rightclicking turns on "Automatic" firing.
12) This bug has been fixed in the next update (which should be released tommorow)
13) I never intend to 'fully' support F5 mode. For FPS, the ability to view outside of your body and peak around corners with 3rd person makes it easier to cheat, and because of this, will not be fully supported by my plugin.

This seems to be a bug/glitch. You should only be able to go into ironsights when crouching, and the item in the hotbar should be a crosshair. Are there any errors in the console? If so, post them.

features i like:
- Download from a Main website.
- No need to download a Force RSS pack or something extra
- Gathers item names from the files.
Features i would like.
- you can't turn any item into a Gun. lets say you have a RSS pack but would like just to summon the item and then place it.
- missing custom lores and names. I did a quick scan through the config.
- sounds seem a little limited.
But It's a great plugin and for someone that doesn't want to go through 5 different files at the same time this is great.

1) What exactly do you mean by placing it? Do you mean you would like the ability to have the item stay as an Item entity, without anyone being able to use it/pick it up? If so, I may be able to add that in another update.

2) By "missing custom lores and names", do you mean you want the ability to customize the lore for the guns? This will be added in the next update.

3) Custom, more accurate sounds will be added in the next update.
