This works for people who have two brain cells and are just setting up a server, but if someone checks the server logs, they will notice a HUGE problem that half of the plugins don't work correctly because the placeholder is not fully compatible with 1.21. They added 1.21 to the description because it's compatible to some extent, but I’m asking for a complete update of one of the most important plugins for 1.21!

Works on 1.21 and easy to use on my server. (I don't know why everyone else says it doesn't. I've had it for like a month already, and it doesn't use version-specific api) Incredibly easy to use in my own plugins as well.

You have failed me. My server was attacked when you added unverified extensions, it was a huge blow to the knee. Someone has completely taken over one of my servers. Fortunately, the OVH system reacted in time and turned off my server itself. You deserve 1 star for such a terrible mistake

The plugin works fine, but implementing it into your plugins is a nightmare, the wiki is just wrong about some things, its own code is outdated, its not very descriptive, giving only 1 example of how to use placeholder API, and I joined the discord server for help, but I've been ignored time and time again, I'm doing something wrong obviously, but I have no idea what because the support is useless. There is no way to get help from someone from the plugin's team, as there is no ticket system, so you have to ask in a support channel on the discord, and people only respond to easy common sense questions like, how do I add the plugin to the server. Implementing this plugin has taken 90% of the time I've spent making my own plugin. Please fix your wiki or create a tickets system.

Please re-add colour parsing, it's quite annoying that many of the plugins which originally depended on your plugin have to update. This feature was very useful for plugin developers

pretty fast update to 1.19.4, and simple provider for API just love it, keep it up man big love from Achy.

Now spits warnings for all placeholders already installed. This is annoying and this should be fixed.

Disregard Deltatron's review, It's obvious that they are the developers staff from discord and was sent by the developers to 'refresh' their review and to call out anyone who is complaining about this plugin.

I got video proof that one of their former staff has shared with me they are told to go make a new review each time an update comes out.

The truth is, their discord is active yes, but getting help for anything related to this plugin is damn near impossible, Also if you make a big deal about getting ignored because the 10 people after you got help and you didn't they will delete your initial question to look like you never posted it.

On the previous version one example is shown of this instance occurring from a reviewer. #Facts.

Don't expect to get any help or be shown any respect while on their discord. It's abusive to say the least.

Avoid this plugin if you can, and if not, you're SOL from getting ANY support because you're a mere speck of dirt compared to their investors/donators.

This version is just terrible, I can't even install Javascript and make placeholders. I won't give a good grade until you fix it.

You see some people criticize the support server but they are doing this for free and in MY personal experience I haven't had to wait much time, I have had multiple issues one just a few minutes ago which I had to maybe wait a hour for someone to see. the plugin and support is great in my personal experience

Support for this is quite terrible, for example the person before me is right, Their question got clearly overlooked then ignored, and I'm sure eventually it'll be deleted like it never happened. Though this plugin has been downloaded over a million times and running on 40k servers, it doesn't mean that the support is there. My simple question on the server got deleted, so I leave this review, not because of the plugin but because of the staff on their discord. Avoid using this plugin if you can. If not, don't expect to get any support for it whatsoever.

I would like to display %playerpoints_leaderboard_<#>%, i.e. %playerpoints_leaderboard_1% etc. and %playerpoints_leaderboard_<#>_amount% , but unfortunately only works with the PlayerPoints extension %playerpoints_points% and without an extension it only shows the placeholder %playerpoints_points%.

It is rare (and I would say impossible) to think of a Minecraft server (for public use and not private) that is not using this plugin on its server. The sheer number of features and placeholders it has is incredible. Totally necessary.

2.11.0 will broke server chat plugin like ChatEx, all message will replaced to "%". But 2.10.10 work fine.

Had to downgrade to the previous version, completely messed up my server and i had to use a backup. It's a great plugin but i hope you guys can fix this in the new update as nothing is working with 2.11.0

The new plugin release works fine, you may have to re-download your expansions but that's about it - there are no issues and it works flawlessly.

Very good but will there ever be a bungeecord version? for example if a bungee plugin wants a prefix of the player (for example %vault_prefix%) and it does not work. please add this, then it would be 6/5 plugin.

100% required. Used by tons of big servers and is very useful. Starting a server without this is a horrible mistake.

REALLY GOOD! Would recommend to everyone that runs a server. But one big thing that would be so nice to have, this on bungee. This is because for example i have my ban plugin and my staff chat plugin on there. I would really like to use some place holder on there!

How would Plugins communicate with eachother without this Plugin? Most just won't. It is lightweight and has all you would expect from it. Just overall great.

clip is very hard working, and his plugins are freaking amazing. If someone puts a low rating to his plugins, they prob just salty that they can't make a plugin as good as this

Testing the development version of this update provided insight on the new update throwing exceptions to null Strings instead of skipping. Discord server was very helpful when providing me this information and I was able to include this fix in my plugin.

This new update breaks many features, placeholders do not show colors correctly. Once this is fixed, I will update my review.

Awesome plugin, we had an issue with internal errors, it turns we just needed to remove the expansions before and reinstall them. Might answer some internal error question. PAPI is a really awesome plugin and has made my life easier with tablists. Props to the dev for working on this!

When downloading an expansion or trying to look at the list there's an internal error.

This library is insane! There are so many plugins that support it. This is a must-have plugin. I love it so much.

PlaceholderAPI is the best! The ecloud makes it so easy to have other plugins work with it! I have never had an issue with Placeholder API and continue to use it for many more years! Keep up the great work!

I think it's by far, one of the best plugins.

I love this plugin because you can have your stats from one plugin almost everywhere (in your Tab, chat, scoreboard, holograms, GUIs...)
But the only thing I'm sad about is because of a thing that will maybe never see the day, it's a way of taking placeholder from one server to another like %remoteserver_<server>_<placeholder>% and that works with BungeeCord, so I can have placeholders on my Tab plugin that is on my BungeeCord, I know there have already been a plugin that could do that https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/free-remoteplaceholders-get-your-placeholders-from-other-servers.56288/ but it's no longer maintained =,(

Please clip and every other developpers on this plugin, make this PAPI cross-servers compatible, it would be really cool =)

I really wish you would leave ezhook in your plugin, Most faction servers run on 1.8 due to most of the plugins factions servers need are all on 1.8 and most devs won't update their older versions to support your newer way of doing placeholders.

This is practically a server need, this is actually a fire plugin and a core plugin for all server owners.

I've been working with Clip for the past year or so now and I couldn't of think of anywhere else I'd rather be or someone else I'd rather work with. Clip is an amazing developer, super mature, smart, and really down-to-earth. He makes working fun and is always around to try to lighten the mood. We've been working hard on PlaceholderAPI for a while and we're trying to give the user the best experience we can. When it comes to Clip, that's always the top priority.

Another Great Update! and one of the best plugins available to date, i don't know a single server host that docent use this and ontop of that i don't even know anyone who's had a problem with it! it an essential! Defiantly recommended

Runs pretty well (1.13.2) with no major issues. Only complaint is that the "OtherPlayer" placeholders are not expansive as the "Player" placeholders.

I agree with the comment below me, this plugin works flawless and there are so many plugins that are utilizing this amazing tool!

I don't quite understand... Over 150k downloads and the only one who take their time to make a review is the kids that don't understand that reviews are not the place to seek help. I would just like to show how much I pressured this plugin by making an honest review. Like holy s*t it is insane and I use it for almost every plugin that handles placeholders. I really LOVE it. Thank you for creating this to the community and I should really like if more of the server owners who use and love this plugin can use 5 minutes to make a review too.

And if you have problems as I also had, do this:

Delete the PlaceholderAPI folder and downloaded the LATEST (2.9.2 version). Then download all extensions again and do /papi reload and if that doesnæt work restart/reload your server, and boom EASY FIX

Plugin excellent, has a problem with the SimpleClans placeholder, when I restart my server the extension stops working then I should use /papi reload to go back to normal. Fix please!

I have an error with this version but it is only with a command the / papi ecloud list all does not show me the expansions until I delete them and I did not put any expansion until just putting the expansion player and it sends me an error but there are when using the expansions if It works if you want to send them the error I send them by means of the deletion of this message if I write a new one or by private

Great plugin! I love the possibilities that you get by using this one. The reason I'm giving out 4 stars it's because %player_timestamp% is not working, even if the other player api's work.

You can do a lot with it, only some expansions don't work in my case: statistic expansion.

Love having this plugin to really bring my server to life but in 1.13.1 the Statistic expansion doesn't seem to load. I have downloaded it and the console said it was successful as well I can see it in the folder but when launching the server it does not show when listing the loaded expansions.

The plugin no longer works. It removed all of my place holder expansions, and when i try to add them back- it says its downloaded but they dont work. Reloading the plugin shows that none of the expansions are working anymore. Console gives no errors- the server just acts like it didnt install the expansions! Please help

Ofc a lot of thanks to prividing and keeping up to date that amazing api and so on :) I have some question. Why you added Gson lib in the last update? As I know, Spigot core already contains such library.

There is no other plugin like this one. Clip is an amazing person and is so fun to work with. I'm proud to call him my friend and happy to be able to contribute to a plugin such as this one.

Needed help with the plugin for a while, joined discord and asked around and no one could help me. Messaged the author multiple times and no response, the support from him is terrible and he relys on people in his discord to help you.

A must have plugin, just make sure you download the expansions you need in order to have the placeholders, very easy, very fast.

Does it work in Skript? I know you should implement this API by an extra line of code in your plugin, but does it work in scripts without problems? I should give it a try but I think I would destroy my server again :P
