Great plugin! Let down by horrific documentation.
There's literally no documentation on 50% of the sub skills like holy hound skill and a bunch of others, so how can we utilize this on a server if no one has an idea what anything does?

a wiki update is severely needed, otherwise, its a 5/5 10/10.

This is probably the best RPG skills plugin out there but the plugin includes tons of spam in the chat (links to the plugin, etc) which is a deal breaker for me. Also the config is messy and complicated and disabled features still show up as available in the chat. The plugin has potential, but not worth $20 in my opinion.

The plugin is essential for my server, and the owner is really kind. I recommend buying the premium version. It completely transforms a Minecraft server.

Latest update makes everyone slow with their walkspeed on 1.20.4 posting this here temporarily as a PSA not to update to the very latest version until its fixed.

What an absolute pain in the butt, this interferes with many other plugins, in particular chat and crates, it need to be completely overhauled PROPERLY - Never had so many problems like this before

Do not use Default Config settings, you need to double check their settings first. Because its too OP for default,

Example as Block such as Granite/Diorite/Andesite gives you 1 Level Mining per 1 block for No Reason.

Also McMMO Death Penalty broken, it only affects Staff, and not player.

My favourite server plugin for over 10 years. Adds another dimension to the game.

No way to customize the way information is displayed? It looks horrible. There's no language or messages file where you can change the appearances of the messages, the colors or even customize it in any way.

This is an amazing plugin if you plan to simply add parties and skills on your server.

I rated this a 1-star for poor support in their discord server. You will see mods/staffs online most of the time, yet no one answers inquiries. I searched and asked in their Discord on how to disable the "party" system since it was not supported by other plugins (MythicDungeon, Phoenix Duels, etc etc). Unfortunately, no one replied to me with a decent answer and when I search about it, people will only say to check "config.yml" etc etc but there really is no option to disable it.

In addition to my concern above, on the latest update, the plugin reverted back to the default settings without any notice which resulted to my players losing their levels and the adjustments I made disappeared.

Been using the plugin for 10 years and still going strong.

I have been using McMMO since early 2013 and can completely vouch. Anyone who does not give this a 5 star review is understandably an idiot. This plugin is expansive in the fact that it allows complete configuration, you can include your own MOTD, create your own skill events, allow players to be on specific ranks to allow for specific skillsets, so if you want classes of citizens to be gathers, or fighters you can limit their skills. This also allows for a complete overhaul of any experience you have on your server, whether it is in regards to Skyblock or making a custom RPG based server. Thank you Nossr50 for the amazing plugin and time you have spent on this. Well worth the $20.

I can't turn off the bleeding effect in the configuration file, I don't understand why this bug skill is still there, the player bleeds directly to 1 block of health, and my operation in the configuration file has no effect at all

A great plugin with a good progression system with rewards for various actions, giving ways for players to grind and get rewarded. Many players on my SMP didn't like it (based on a poll taken on my server I had to remove it). But personally, I liked it a lot a really great plugin, and loved it

I've been using MCMMO on my servers since I started hosting them for friends and family. Amazing plugin that adds a lot of RPG features. Its MCMMO, not much else to say really other than its a great solid plugin.

Great plugin! Have never seen any bugs from the past 2 versions. Currently using on 1.19.3 and works like a charm! Glad to see the updates are going strong.

Hello, this plug-in is very good, but after purchasing it, I found that version 1.12.2 cannot use it. Can you update it?

The plugin is good yes, but if you have any issues, questions, or want to remove their links that spam through the commands; you won't receive any support, their discord is filled with mods, and other staff that don't respond to any messages in the support sections; you have to rely on other members of the discord to help which ofcourse they don't because they haven't received any support themselves.

I would advise against buying the plugin because of this, save yourself $20 and just compile it yourself.

(Will consider changing this review if the state of support in the discord and in general changes)

The same from 2012 and works like a charm. Love the configuration I can do to adjust XP earning and drop chances for other stuff. Price is eh but for supporting something like this im down for it.

Skills customisability is quite limited. However this enables fresh installs to work great out the box and players know what they are getting into. There is a lot of content (Worth it) and it has a pleasant vanilla-like feel. Good recent updates.

Amazing plugin, wish Skulk could be added to the Herbalism skill tree but even without it the plugin is awesome!

The plugin is.. okay. I can't find out how to change repairing and enchanting back to Vanilla, I've gone through every config file and found nothing. My players tend to get kicked when trading with villagers for whatever reason. My players also don't seem to enjoy the skills much, only tending to use the fast break one and tree feller. CompatNoCheatPlus is also only supported in 1.12, and my server is in 1.17.1. I don't know if it's just me, but right now, the plugin isn't working for my server, and I think I'll remove it. The skills are decent though.

Plugin useful and very good I hope performance improvements from the dev as the plugin fulfills its function but many of the checks that makes quasan a huge performance problem especially the potion tables.

It used to be good, but now it's way too easy to progress, and it's way too OP - Aurelium Skills is the better (and free) alternative in this state.

A really good classic for Minecraft. Really fun plugin, adds a new layer to gameplay.

Have been running on new server setup and players are quite enjoying it. I've had the old version in the past, which has some odd memory errors and would cause lag. This new version, I've had no technical issues, and runs with little to no impact on the server. All the players are quite enjoying it. With the framework in place, be cool to see expansion on skills, such as farming and such. Great plugin overall and was worth it.

One, the price is too high. AureliumSkills is a better free alternative to this plugin of which I have no affiliation. I've been using this and the alternative free variant of this plugin for many years. McMMo still visually looks like a 2010's free plugin at expensive spigot plugin costs. I'm aware this can manually and slowly be changed to look better, but titles, particles, and clean coloring themes, and GUI set-ups are innate to most worth while modern free plugins these days *as default or as true/false with a default coloring system or with unique symbols*. IMO the coloring, symbols and guis used in this plugin are bland and jarring to behold.

Join the discord and you're met with rules: do not DM staff. Nossr has an MOTD set to DM him.. but, I didn't want to risk a ban.

(After a couple months my personal friend helped me resolve my issues, thankfully)

To compound the confusion the rest of the discord server doesn't like to get DM'ed. I don't know how this works, there isn't any further information on when to and not to DM.

To be fair the Discord's full of friendly people who will fix anything basic for you. However, as soon as your issues get more specific your chances of getting further support is dismal. When one of the other users doesn't know how to fix your issues you're politely left on read. Also, the wiki is not up to date there's several categories -- especially placeholders which are incorrect or missing information. Also, the #explanations in the config and other YML's could use some grammatical fixes. It's hard to understand the English occasionally this is understandable -- not everyone speaks English as a first language!

McMMo has many hooks into other plugins that make it run well with most plugins. I've never come across a jar that wouldn't run (note: this is impressive after the many years it's been out). And, 1/3 of your playerbase will already be familiar with McMMo even if they don't know it by name.

I genuinely believe McMMo's best aims are for a server owner who wants a robust, RPG plugin, and said person can dedicate a few hours to cleaning up the: titles, actionbars, chat messages, and some language files -- or perhaps wants to use an old school theme and are already familiar with how the plugin works.

Lastly, this has no effect on my rating review score. But, please change the title of this plugin post. Nossr50 abandoned this plugin for years and came back almost 4 ago years now.

Lack of support for the reload command. A plugin where the smallest config value change requires a server restart + support on discord is trash.

Rapid fix to a major bug in this version, and the config files were automatically repaired as described. Kudos to the dev.

Plugin may be good, although the support is just incredibly freaking horrible, been asking the same 3 questions for about 3-4 days now, and I still haven't received any support from any of the staff in the discord. I personally would highly discourage users from buying this plugin if the support remains as worthless as it is right now.

If you wish to use the mcmmo plugin, and you have extensive knowledge in everything you may continue to use it or buy it, but if you're going to face any issues just know you won't get any support.

It's the same as the old version (mcmmo classic), in addition to image enhancement. It not Gui mcmmo. it's like you have to spend extra 19usd for DLC.

Simply put, this plugin has been mandatory for years on most servers. Its the plugin that players WILL ask why its not on your server, on par with Essentials for the most. If you are making a Factions server, this is your first and your last step. (As for the Author, keep up the good work!)

I went to the Discord and explained my Problem and asked if i can pay with some other method (paypal wanted a credit card as well) and then nossr (the legend himself) just gifts me this plugin!

Best plugin to keep your community engaged, it requires a few tweaks if you're running a PvP server and maybe balancing some stuff if you have other plugins interfering with it!

I have been a fan of using mcMMO for years. I pretty much obsess over it. It provides a layer to Minecraft that dynamically changes the gameplay just enough yet doesn't alienate the player with wild concepts. This makes it so the player doesn't need to necessarily dig deep into learning the plugin, but rather would just calmly enjoy the plugin as a feature to enjoy naturally.
Additionally, the plugin is extremely configurable, allowing it to be flexible for almost any genre of a server.

I want to add that this one doesnt have a memory leak like the other mcmmo on premium does. This author went above and beyond to fix the memory leak, even to the point of where we found a few other minor bugs to fix. The owner actually talked to me himself on discord, with this popular of a plugin thats unheard of. Do yourself a favor and purchase this one.

It is entirely customizable down to the formulas that make up the very foundation of what this mod does and aspires to be. This plugin alone changes everything about how you experience minecraft, not to mention the compatibility with other plugins and especially the versions of Minecraft it works on. If you haven't tried this plugin yet for any reason (such as the price tag on this page's download) there's never been a better time. Especially with the new Nether update and the compatibility with it, which is the main influence for downloading it. This is note exclusively paid, there is a free page available, too, so don't be shy, this plugin is worth a try!

If any plugin deserves to be premium, it has to be mcMMO :D It totally transforms a server into a fun, challenging environment. Players love to compete with each other for “stats” and I often see many people grinding away until the “wee small hours” :D Totally worth every penny!

This is a such an improvement to the base gameplay by rewarding you for going through the loop of resource gathering. I cant play minecraft without it anymore.

This is a huge player magnet, and just for that reason then I can recommend it for smaller servers starting up. People love this plugin. It could be better optimized, so make sure you have good hardware.

The update works flawlessly on 1.16, thank you for updating the plugin so quickly! This plugin is a must have for any server!

This is my favorite plugin but I have one problem, none of my fighting mcmmo skills seem to level. They level at the start when the server first starts and then shortly after stop for no reason. I checked the logs and nothing seems to be of issue and my plugins and server is up to date. I also checked the config files and things seem to be normal. Here is a list of my plugins maybe I have conflicting plugins?

In all honestly, this plugin is a must on any server, be it RPG or just survival. I could not play on any server that doesn't run this, which is why I decided to support them by purchasing this. Works like a charm on my RPG server.
Upgraded from 1.13.2 to 1.14.4 and everything went smoothly, no data lose.

nossr is by far one of the nicest people I've ever met in the community. I'm in a bunch of Discords and when I see him, he's always offering quality support to players, even when it's not his own plugin.

This dude is by far one of the smartest people I've also met also. He's saved me from a lot of trouble in many different situations and he loves the work he does.

This plugin is a must-have on your server. I have not seen another developer put more time and effort into a plugin than nossr has and he totally deserves all the kindness in the world for the way he treats his fellow community members.

The only way to play minecraft. It gives more to do while playing. Creator has great response times to any questions you might have.

Does what it promises, but I don't think it's worth $15. Lacks many obvious MMO features like quests, bosses, and lots of random loot. I'd also appreciate some balancing aspects - Minecraft is already VERY easy, and this just makes it easier. Greater power makes me thirst for greater challenges.

Updated the plugin to fix a bug i was having an issue with. Seems to be working. This guy knows what he is doing.

Quite possibly the best Mcmmo Plugin to buy.
Developer is insanely nice to work with and fix bugs. Was able to get a major bug resolved within hours. If you have ever thought about mcmmo or didnt want to spend the money. YOU REALLY SHOULD!! Its worth it and the work he puts into it is alot of time. Everyone on my server loves this plugin, They literally binge for hours to get levels and be the "top dog". Plus its a bonus we have the original author working on it now.
Adds a fun twist to minecraft. Players would literally quit if i removed this plugin.

McMMO is absolutely amazing! Love the abilities, love the party system. But my favorite part is the fact that it doesn't change the core gameplay!

If you're running a survival server, mcMMo is a must have...adding new skills and perks, a party system, visual improvements and much more! mcMMO has long been the "necessary" skills plugin for leveling, role-play and game enhancement, Nossr has brought it back to life with new ideas, major bugfixes, and amazing support. I've reported more than one (minor!) issue to have them fixed and a new release out within hours. Truly impressive!

There are many things to say about this plugin and exactly 0 are bad.
The plugin itself is great, it a good number of skills with more on the way and its bug free if you install it properly.
It is updated regularly and if any problem occurs you can just pop into the discord and you will be provided help in a matter of minutes.
Apart from the plugin being one of the best you can have on your server, the guy behind it is as amazing as his creation.
No matter how hard you search, you will NOT find a better person behind a plugin. He is extremely friendly,likeable,kind, willing to help, and humble while doing so.
He is probably the best person i had the pleasure of chatting with on the internet, and probably will stay forever.

With this version update we now have blast mining the way I have always wanted it. And the anti grinding features are in place too. Introducing this on old servers together with all the new 2.1 stuff, players are gonna freak out over mcMMO being all modern and ready for 1.14, I can't wait to update more and more servers with 2.x WHICH SURVIVAL SERVER DOESNT HAVE MCMMO INSTALLED, right!

This is the main plugin on our server, and people are really enjoying it. The only issue is that it is constantly updated :P Full support from World Of Wizards, and we think people should go support it, it's worth every penny

The negative review below me doesn't make sense. There are updates constantly, the creator is pretty quick to fix issues and admit when there is an issue. I haven't really needed to interact with him too much yet, I was just getting ready to submit an issue about double drops and look! Its already fixed.

I think people are over critical because there are soo many unhelpful and bad "devs" on spigot. This guy doesn't deserve to be treated like that.

I used latest verions of spigot spigot-1.13.2.jar:git-Spigot-5629554-4c8327f and latest versions of worldguard and worldedit. Plugin updates have produced errors. Owner doesn;t test resource properly before updating
Please don;t use further updates above 2.1.27. They are buggy and give null pointer exceptions.
Now Owner will hide his mistakes in comment. Worst attitude. I have purchased this plugin. And it caused a great impact on my server on updating. Please guys I warned you.

Hi, there seems to be a bug with Admin Chat on this version :(
Whenever you talk in admin chat, it also sends the message to global chat. This is not an issue with Party Chat.

One of the best minecraft plugins by far. It's been a staple for many server over the years the game has been out. The creator is now updating the plugin to modern standards too.

I've been using mcMMO since 2013, and I'm in love with it. It's such an essential plugin, that I've found myself literally unable to enjoy survival Minecraft without it.

Quite the fantastic plugin. I don't even play on servers that do not run mcMMO and I've been trying to expand this plugin for five years just to try and have it keep up with minecraft. I am so happy to see 2.1.x being released and nossr being back. It's a modern version ready for 1.13 and i've been playing and testing it for a while now. Defn worth an upgrade.

This is by far a MUST in any Minecraft server. It takes all of the core elements for MC and just makes it so much better.

I have come from the Classic era and this overhaul is just perfect. The UI changes and quality of life improvements really push the boundaries of this plugin.

The support on Discord is also fantastic. I stayed up helping Noss with a fishing bug and they stuck by me the entire time making sure this got fixed.
