Minepacks is a free and truly reliable backpack plugin with different backpack sizes.
Convert your databases with this plugin and never worry about future server support again!
What is the difference from the original plugin? Who is this for?
- If you are tired of waiting for the original plugin to support the newest Minecraft versions then this is for you!
- If you don't use most of the features of the original plugin, and you just want a simple functioning backpack plugin with permission based sizes, then this is for you.
NOTE: This version is missing the following features compared to the original! Do not use this version if you want something from the list!
- No multiple storage types, only SQLite is supported
- No auto item-collect feature
- No item filter system
- No auto updates and auto upgrades
- No backup system
- No backpack restore system
- No API
- No actual backpack item in the inventory
(I am open on adding some features back if requested on discord.)
How does it work?
- Transfer your SQLite databases to this version of the plugin and you will never have to worry about updates and supporting new minecraft versions!
- This plugin will continue to work as long as spigot or paper exists, it will never stop working, its that simple!
How do I transfer my database?
1) This version of the plugin only has and supports SQLite and not MySQL or Files, so make sure you convert to SQLite first.
2) The transfer will only work if you haven't changed the tables and fields in the original plugin config.
3) Remove the original minepack jar from your plugin folder, also remove the PCGF_PluginLib library if you have it.
4) Download this plugin, you will get a zip with 3 jars, first only install MinepacksOLD.jar and PCGF_PluginLib-1.0.39.7-SNAPSHOT.jar
5) Start the server and run this command in the console
"exportbackpacks confirm" and wait for it to finish.
6) Once done, inside your original Minepacks folder you will find the new backpackMIGRATED.db file.
7) Close the server, remove MinepacksOLD.jar and PCGF_PluginLib-1.0.39.7-SNAPSHOT.jar and now install the new MinepacksStable.jar only.
8) (Make a backup of the folder just in case!) Inside your Minepacks folder find the backpackMIGRATED.db database.
9) Rename the backpackMIGRATED.db to backpack.db and move it to the MinepacksStable folder.
10) Start the server! You are done
