Best punishment plugin on the market, in my opinion. The features are perfect and applicable to any server, and the customisability aspect is impeccable.

Admittedly, I had some trouble using the API at first, but after direct support from Ruan I got all of my issues sorted. They even added new features to the API after I requested it- in the very next update! The support is outstanding.

I've been using this plugin for a long time now and I've never looked back. A must-have for every one of my servers.

Long story short, this plugin sucks. It is incredibly hard to configure, due to the fact that there is no set line system like every other plugin has. So you just have to keep spamming spaces and testing the message until you get the right amount, which is highly inefficient and time wasting. Or you can use a config. All paid configs are terrible also due to this no line system, and the default messages are just poor from the development team. Very disappointed in this plugin. For something so "premium" would have expected something much better. ALSO forgot to mention the 48hr waiting time until you can even START to receive ANY support at all.

Multi-line messages are supported and have always worked.. On top of that, they are included in the configuration by default so you can't miss an example of how to create a multi-line message (e.g. banned_message_base), and also, you can add "\n" to messages, which will be reformatted automatically.
You were verified within 12 hours, not 48 hours.

I heard about Litebans through word of mouth nearly 5 years ago, after having used Litebans for over 4 years I am pleased to say that it has never failed to meet my expectations. Many free ban management plugins "similar" to Litebans are dodgy and negatively affect server performance, however, Litebans is so light you won't even notice it's on your server. All in all, I would highly recommend Litebans, it was worth every single penny.

The best plugin for bans. Fully customizable, many useful functions and features. The good news is that even if you have Essentials installed, this plugin intercepts the /ban, /mute and other commands. You can also import bans from other plugins.
The only negative is that verification of the buyer’s status on the developer’s discord server takes too long.

The customization this plugin offers for servers is insane, not only is it easy to use, even though you have to edit a ton of messages is nice, it also feels good that placeholders actually work, which is a huge feat for a ban plugin.

This plugin is very good. First and foremost, the plugin is reliable and performant. I haven't experienced any major bugs, issues, or performance problems. This plugin also has a fair amount of nice features that I have grown accustom to. I was at first dissapointed by a lack of discord integration, however an external plugin that has been very reliable has fixed that issue so it's not a huge deal. The lack of a fifth star primarily comes down to the lack of two features I would find beneficial. The first (and bigger) issue to me is the lack of a login system for its web panel. The lack of any form of credential or authentication system makes it a tough use for me. The other feature I might like to see if a GUI (Web, in game, or otherwise) for managing or administering punishments. I have not at this time found a satisfactory alternative, however.

TLDR: This plugin is more than satisfactory for most users. It works well and has most features you could want. There are a couple of things I would like to see added but they are not deal breakers for me personally.

Plugin has a major flaw that dev will not fix. One of the config options not working on all versions. Dev was kinda rude. Couldn't be bothered and then just banned me on the discord when I complained that he wrongly removed my license for 'refund' which let loads of banned players join my server and caused havoc before he corrected it. No apology from him, just a lot of sass and he generally can't be bothered.

I've been trying to find support somewhere since the 8th of this month and I can't find it, I don't understand how a paid add-on can't have support, another thing I've been dealing with for more than 20 days with a bug (which I have never been able to report) that Users of 1.19 cannot be muted, no matter how much you mute them, they can continue talking as much as they want and it is only solved by banning them, I hope they solve this soon and add support somewhere for once

Somehow you've managed to avoid all of these.

I've tested mutes with Spigot & Bungee instances under 1.19 and found no problems. Since this issue could not be replicated, it's likely to be a plugin conflict.

LiteBans is one of the best, if not the best Minecraft plugin for punishments that you may find on the internet. I've been using it for years, and I'm pleased with it. And I can't go without a few reasons to buy it: 1. It has many great features which are relatively easy to use. 2. It has a good web interface that you can customize to suit your needs. 3. It has support for a wide variety of server software. 4. Relatively frequent updates that fix bugs and sometimes add new features. 5. Great for large server networks.
There are many more reasons, but I want to keep this review as short as possible. And finally, I'd like to say that you won't regret your purchase and your staff members will thank you later.

I have yet to fully use this plugin to its extent but will later on. It has the features I need for my server and works pretty well already.
One feature I would like to have is a way to have warnings be grouped.
How this would work is by having defined warning groups in configs (customizable), and ingame the /warn command has an optional flag for the warning group. This would help with having a group for banning people after a certain number of warnings outside of chat reasons, and muting players for chat related offenses.
Other than this the plugin features what I was looking for (glad I wouldn't have to write my own plugin to keep track of what offenses players have on their record)

There are just NO WORDS that can explain how grateful I am that this plugin exists. It covers EVERYTHING, from bans, mutes, warns, per-server bans, mutes and warns, and even cross-server synchronization. One of the main selling points of the plugin is the support. The author usually responds to bug reports/questions within 1 to 2 hours, and can usually get a fix out swiftly. I would highly recommend buying this plugin, it's worth the price.

I've been using the plugin for almost 3 years now (I believe), and no other plugin managed to be as half as good as Litebans.

The author is active, friendly, and helpful.

The plugin is extremely customizable, pretty easy to setup/configure (Ofc, you need to fully read the wiki to properly setup the plugin, which takes some time, but this is what makes the plugin a great one, you can fully tweak it depending on your usage)

The only thing that would need improvement in my opinion, is the wiki page (I already opened an issue on gitlab about some parts that would need to give more infos).

Your database is not configured correctly, this is not a bug in the plugin but a misconfiguration on your side.

If you want to ask for help with database errors, you must first provide the error messages given after using "/litebans reload" or looking at the startup logs. Without this information I can't help you.

Great ban Plugin! it do what it says. Have some issues like duplicated broadcasts and unknown server if a ban is executed frm proxy console. Suggestions have a bad chance to get be added.

I would enjoy a ID feature, so that i use [/ban Player 1] for example as an alias for [/ban player 7d hacking].
And two ban messages, one message that will be shown when the player was on the network on ban, and the other one when he trys to rejoin :)

You need fix the system. If found error on commands example:

If player name are mmm and my staff name are mmmm if you execute the command /tempban NAME TIME REASON

/tempban mmm 1d mmmm

that command ban the staff and no the player. That command are execute on console. All command have NAME TIME REASON have the same error.

If an exact name match for an online player is found on the same server (or network for Bungee instances), that will always be preferred against players who have names that start with the specified name.

Set "autocomplete_online_player_names: false" if it's causing problems for you, and use tab completion instead. The option is disabled by default and I would rather remove it entirely than make it consider offline players, because checking offline players would just make it more inaccurate.

Good banning management plugin.
Sadly LiteBans doesn't support Velocity, it really blocked me migrate to Velocity because I can't control banned players joined to Vanilla or Fabric modded backend servers. (These server software doesn't supported by LiteBans.)

A ticket https://gitlab.com/ruany/LiteBans/-/issues/155 about Velocity supports was opened 9 months ago. But until now, the developer seems still didn't want to support Velocity even though it became more famous and more and more users migrate to it.

Sadly I must drop my favorite banning management plugin LiteBans for migrating to Velocity, so I leave this review in there.

I Will give 5 stars after LiteBans supports Velocity.

This plugin is still amazing and big! It works perfect since some years on my live server and comes on with an extensive configuration to define all messages and details of this system. You need some times to see all of this plugin but the first installation is relative easy as I'm remembering. A great benefit is the web-interface with smart features. An essential for any server, nice web interface, staff rollback. The only feature its really lacking is a ban gui. Litebans pared with a decent vpn blocker and hackers will find it hard getting back on your server with dupeip and ip blacklisting. Worth the money

I own 12 premium resources, and this is 1 of 3 I don't actually regret buying. The other 2 are FarmLimiter and MBanProxyVPN, which have some decent free alternatives I just prefer them. That isn't really the case here, I have not seen any libre plugin that comes close to doing what this does. I also like the fact that it "just works", never had an issue with this been using it since mid July. Actually has a detailed wiki unlike many other plugins I paid for. Dev seems eager to support judging by the discussion thread though I've never needed any.

This plugin is an absolute must have for any server, bungee or not.
It has an amazing GUI online (which I have a few complaints about, i'll get into that in a bit). It has dupeip, which is fucking amazing, it has temp bans and detailed permissions so i can take control on what my staff can do. AND STAFF ROLLBACK, OMG, you have no idea how many staff of mine have been on ban rampages. It's ridiculous. The only feature i'm really lacking at this point is the web GUI. It's bare bones and doesn't have much to it. It just takes data from a MySQL page and displays it, which is nifty none the less, but still, could use a nice revamp. So, what do i have in mine? Well, a toggle for a light mode would be super, the ability to revoke bans, along with staff login would be sexy, and the ability to ban using the website would be heckin great. All in all, i love litebans, it is worth every penny i've paid, and i wouldn't use any other plugin. Now, i just learned about the bungee support, so i'm gonna go do that now. Thanks for reading my review, and author, HMU for the webgui idea, that would be amazing to have!!

Litebans is an amazing plugin, but in my opinion has become obsolete. I would recommend Songoda`s UltimateModeration. Because it is free, and is ALL done in guis, and is VERY easy to use. And its FREE! The only side issue is that Litebans has /lockdown (pretty helpful, but nothing /whitelist couldn`t fix.) And it has the web interface. But you cant use it with Enjin, and if your server is running with Enjin, you have to pay and setup for another website to hook it up. Overall just not worth it. And the configs are messy and just SO damn full because legit everything is a command and has a config line for it. Songoda is ALL editable, but its a lot cleaner, and a lot less cluttered and confusing. I own this plugin, and swear by it. Its still a great plugin, but its not what i would use anymore. And its *not* what we use anymore. What a shame. :/

If you think BungeeCord support / cross-server banning is obselete (the other plugin does not support cross server punishments) then you clearly only have a single server.

The LiteBans configuration is full because there are more things to configure. This isn't a bad thing. UM doesn't support alt detection, per-group duration limits, per-server bans, importing bans, cross-server broadcasts, and a lot of other things.

Enjin isn't something I can support - it's not a PHP web hosting platform, so you can't install anything on it. Not worth it for you, perhaps, but people who run their Minecraft and web servers on the same machine don't have to pay any additional hosting costs.

Amazing plugin. Beats AdvancedBan by a mile. At first I was going to get it only for its web interface, until I learned it doesn't support logins and banning from that interface, but the cross-server synchronization is what got me hooked in the end. I think the only way to make it better is to add a user management and ban system on the web interface. Great work!

This plugin is one of the MOST essential plugins you need for ANY server. The support is great, the upgrades are frequent and the price is cheap for what you're getting. BungeeCord does not know that you are OP. It has a completely separate permissions system (which can be linked via LuckPerms) and this is noted in the installation instructions.

Excellent plugin! If you could just fix that when somebody unbans a player, on ban list it shows that it was unbanned by the same moderator who banned him. So we cannot know but check logs who unbanned who.

One of the plugins that just amazes you. Never had any issues. The author always responds fast in dm's. And how often do you see such a used plugin only getting updated 3 times last year? I'm impressed how the author made such a good plugin with little to no issues (I havent had any since I purchased it) - The only updates is features or making it compitable with other plugins.

Im sincerely impressed and havent seen any plugin like this before. It just works and if it doesn't you did something wrong and the author is always there to help you!

Really good plugin, it was pretty much setup straight out of the box, all I had to do was change the way data is stored to MySQL, customize the messages.yml, setup the permissions and then I let my staff run wild with it! Couldn't ask for a better punishments plugin.

Just because someone gained access to your console or MySQL database doesn't mean it's an exploit in LiteBans.

You've given absolutely zero evidence that this so-called exploit is in LiteBans, and you've given no instructions on how to replicate the exploit.

Without any information I can only assume that the problem is with your server's security and that someone (possibly a hacker) with admin access is exploiting your server, yet you choose to immediately blame the plugin for something you don't even understand, and ask me to fix something without even proving that the problem exists in the first place.

I finally got this plugin after like a week of waiting. I didn't get how to set it up so I watched a youtube tutorial. It helped me out but it still didn't work until I read the "bans/index.php". I did that, and it showed my bans perfectly! Then I used htaccess to make it /bans. But this plugin, worth it. I should've known about it long ago.

I cannot replicate this issue, for me, commands are blocked fine under BungeeCord.
You most likely have a plugin that's ignoring or un-cancelling cancelled chat events or overriding the /mute command.

CommandBlockerUltimate (<= 1.5.4) allows muted players to chat under BungeeCord.
"Bungee Command Block" (CmdBlock) 3.3 allows muted players to chat under BungeeCord.

This is why issues shouldn't be reported in the reviews section.

This isn't a bug. Plugins cannot prevent players from switching to a different account and IP address at the same time. There isn't a single plugin out there that will prevent this from happening, you're asking for something that's impossible.

This plugin, without a doubt is the absolute banning solution for all server networks. It is easy to use, easy to configure, and uses MySQL.
The use of MySQL makes the plugin so much more alive, you can set up a web interface, and customize it as much as you want. The web interface is hosted on your local machine and will not break, litebans does not have it's own website for your web interface, don't worry about that.

Anyways, this is the best punishment plugin and if you're not already using it, I suggest you switch right away.

This plugin relies on NPT time. So pointless if you use shared hosting. The dev was supposed to make each servers time sync but failed and now blames the users when something goes wrong. See link: https://postimg.org/image/u4esz7o63/. I do not recommend at all.

Your servers are not set up correctly. This is not a bug with the plugin, since all of your servers have completely unsynchronized clocks, the time cannot be determined accurately on any of them.

It's really immature of you to leave a negative review over an issue like this, since I've explained it nicely to you that you need NTP configured on your servers, but you made no attempt to fix the underlying problem, instead, you want to blame me and threaten me with a chargeback if I don't rewrite the plugin to be exactly the way you want it to be, even if it works perfectly fine for me and for other people.
