LagReducer Plugin Documentation
Overview
The LagReducer plugin is designed to optimize server performance, reduce lag, and improve the overall experience for players. It offers powerful features like optimizing CPU, memory, and chunk loading, as well as cleaning up excess mobs.

Key Features
  • CPU Optimization ⚡: Frees up CPU resources by triggering garbage collection.
  • Memory Optimization : Clears unused memory to improve server performance.
  • Chunk Unloading ⛓️: Automatically unloads inactive chunks.
  • Mob Cleanup : Removes excess mobs to reduce unnecessary load on the server.
Commands
1. /optimize gui
Description: Opens the optimization menu where you can manually trigger optimizations.
Usage: /optimize gui
Permission: lagreducer.optimize

GUI Options
When you open the optimization menu, you'll have the following options:

  • Optimize CPU ⚡:
Frees up CPU resources by triggering garbage collection.
Click the button to start the process.

  • Optimize Memory :
Clears unused memory to reduce lag.
Click the button to start the process.

  • Unload Chunks ⛓️:
Unloads chunks that are not actively being used to free up server resources.
Click the button to start the process.

  • Cleanup Mobs :
Removes inactive or excessive mobs that may be causing lag.
Click the button to start the process.

  • Close Menu ❌:
    Exits the optimization menu.
Click the button to close the menu.
Configuration Settings ⚙️
These settings allow you to customize how and when the optimizations occur. Below are the most important configuration options:

  • Auto Optimization :
Automatically triggers optimization when certain thresholds (e.g., CPU, memory usage) are exceeded.
    Default: Enabled

  • CPU Threshold :
The CPU usage percentage at which optimizations will be triggered.
    Default: 80%

  • Memory Threshold :
The amount of memory (in MB) that will trigger automatic optimization.
    Default: 1000MB

  • Player Count Threshold :
The number of online players that will trigger optimizations (such as chunk unloading or world optimization).
    Default: 100 players
Best Practices
  • Using Auto Optimization :
It is recommended to enable automatic optimizations for seamless performance. This way, the server will automatically trigger optimizations when needed, preventing lag without manual intervention.

  • Manual Optimization ️:
Use the /optimize gui command to manually optimize the server whenever you notice performance issues or lag spikes. This is especially useful during peak hours.

  • Mob Cleanup :
Keep an eye on mob count, especially in large areas, as mobs can take up a lot of resources. The cleanup feature will help reduce this load.
Permissions
To use the plugin’s features, specific permissions are required. Here’s a quick overview of the main permission:

  • lagreducer.optimize:
Allows the user to trigger optimizations via the /optimize gui command. Ensure only trusted users have this permission.
Performance Benefits
By using LagReducer, you will notice significant performance improvements, including:

  • Reduced CPU load ⚡
  • Optimized memory usage
  • Faster chunk loading/unloading ⛓️
  • Fewer mobs to reduce server stress
These optimizations help the server handle larger numbers of players and complex worlds without the typical lag.

Conclusion
LagReducer is an essential plugin for anyone serious about maintaining server performance. Whether you choose automatic or manual optimizations, it’s an easy way to keep your server running smoothly and minimize lag. Enjoy a better Minecraft experience!
