To use a KeyPad type the command "/keycard give keypad" and place it. At this point enter the code and then use the same code to open the door or to activate a mechanism.
To change the code, Shift + Right Click on the KeyPad and click on "code".

To receive a custom keycard reader, use the "/keycard custom give <name>" command where <name> is the name you want to give the keycard.

To receive the keycard, simply open the reader editing panel and click on the nether star.
