I would see it being an issue if it took a long time building and sending the response. I sent about 8000 requests in 3 minutes to my server and found no lag from it. Responses take ~5-6ms, according to Postman (mostly downloading and the, etc.) If you would like to switch it over to Netty, I'm open to PRs, but I don't see it as a significant issue as of now.
