I had this plugin for like 2 years and they still haven't fixed required distance for opening chests animation which is pretty annoying. Also since everything is in GUI not in config it is pretty hard to setup something - Translate etc. I think there are more plugins that gives better quality sadly.

TechsCode plugins are way too over-engineered, resource hogs, and the code quality is not great. They have improved recently but keep referencing a future update when all the issues will be fixed, which will require a complete rewrite of the plugins. There is minimal configuration ability from YML and config must be done in-game. There is no SQL support. You can't disable the animated GUI text which causes lag. Numerous bugs and issues. InsaneShops takes more resources to run than all my other plugins combined.

I was a little offended that a year later they still haven't added 100% localization. But the plugin is good, I recommend it if you like it.

But it has one big drawback. The fact that the display of the item for sale is only in English. And as I understand it, the developers cannot change this.

Over a year after reporting performance issues, the team finally updated this plugin to handle performance better. I am increasing my review from 3-stars to 4.

To get 5 stars, I would still like to see mySQL support for storing shop data, and the ability to fully edit the messages/locale this plugin sends. These things are non-negotiables for a premium plugin, in my opinion.

My 3-star rating still applies unfortunately. The plugin has created some significant performance issues on my server. I've provided a lot of info to the developers but no real progress has been made on my issue. It has a lot of unnecessary animations that are causing the lag. I've been told that due to personal reasons the developers are not really making any updates to the plugin, which is OK for a free one but certainly not for a paid one. This is still a great shop plugin, probably one of the best, but we've just been struggling for so long that we may need to switch to another one.

Cant recommend this enough, having used a lot of chest shop plugins I found this to be both the easiest to manage as admin, most self explanatory for the players and generally the most engaging, active dev team and discord which is well worth visiting. The latest performance improvement make it even easier to make the experience smoother too.

I just love InsaneShops, players are able to create their own Shops and admins are also able to create admin Shops in an easy way.

The best Shop plugin out there but there's just one little Problem; it sometimes does not register Vault so you gotta restart your Server multiple times or reload the plugin

pretty great plugin ! the plugin worked well but as soon as i restarted my server, i wasn't able to create a new shop, i could select the amount of item i wanted to sell but couldn't select the price (the left click on the emerald block did nothing) :(

This is a high quality plugin. Although the developers insist on doing everything differently. There is no config file, and all data storage is encoded. The Wiki has almost no information, and doesn't include every permission. You can't get help in the discussions, and it's difficult to get verified on their Discord to ask for help. I can't even make a ticket on their Discord for help. There is no documentation on changing the language or using color codes. The Discord invite link on the Wiki doesn't even work. Their Spigot changelogs are images?? There is no way to turn off the GUI animations for those of us that don't want the extra ticks?

We are sorry about the difficulty you had with verification and seeking help, our verification system is currently down at the moment so we had to do it manually. Our plugins are designed to be 100% GUI based, and this is clearly stated on the product pages and we are sorry if you are dissatisfied with this. As for color codes in the language file, this is not supported. It is only for translations. The wikis do need to be updated and its a constantly ongoing process, we are always willing to improve our wikis. The data is stored in an encoded form because it is easier to manage this way. As for the picture update logs, I do not see why this is an issue. The information is still present but it allows us to add our own formatting to the messages. Once you are fully verified you will have a much easier time getting support in our discord. We are sorry for any problems experienced when trying to get support from us. We hope we can improve this experience for you and everyone else in the future.

I love the fact that it shows the item it sells when chests are approached and how much its selling for. players can create their own shops determining the market for items or Administrators can open Admin shops to give a base price for easily obtained items.
I know more will come from this plugin and updates are always happening. 5/5

I probably never have ever written a review for InsaneShops but here we go,

I have not much to say about the plugin but it's probably the best player shops plugin out there with frequent plugin updates and an amazing support team. If you have a like SMP server running with an economy then this is a must have for your server. I don't think there is even free alternatives out there for 1.16 unless that's changed but I never look for free alternatives since I already have this plugin.

Do I recommend this plugin? Yes I do. Do I use the plugin? Currently I don't use the plugin because the current server I manage don't have any economy at all. But I'm looking out for it in the feature :)

It has all of the features I am looking for but the performance is abysmal.
It's singlehandedly more performance heavy then every other plugin I have combined and does not scale well with lots of players.

Also the auto updater was removed.

Easily a 5 star plugin if the TPS issues were fixed.

i bought this plugin for minecraft 1.15.2. updated to 1.16, and have waited 4+ weeks for an 'update' to fix a bug where all shops disappeared. said 'update' was released, did not fix anything. support on discord is absolutely abysmal. long wait times, told to 'wait for update coming soon'. there is no errors in console, and the data files in the plugins folder still have all the data in them.

steer clear of this plugin and just pay extra money for another premium plugin.

Bad optimised shops plugin. A lot of bugs and troubles - I tried to delete shop with +20 000 transactions and server get crashed. I asked how to remove it without crash - no one helps me on DIscord. I wait few days to get verification on Discord. As I saw on discord - I am not the only one who's dissapointed about support...

It seems no matter which plugin, or how easy it is to create shops there are always some people that have hard time understanding. Now I have finally found a shops plugin that doesn't require a ton of documentation for users to understand. I have no doubt some will ask questions but really, it tells players how to use it without any intervention. A+

At First: This Plugin is beautiful!
Now why i rate with 1 Star:
on our citybuild 1.8.8 spigot it was possible With roasted pork that a player (he is not added or trusted or owner of the plot) make a shop on a plot from anouther player! When he put some pork in the shop and close the shop the chest will drop all items from the other player.

THIS is a no go! with pickaxe and other items he cant make a new store but with roasted pork *lol*

please fix this issue asap!

Then the plugin is a five star :)

Ran a timings report and found that out of all my intense plugins (dynmap, EliteMobs, etc.) that this one used 100.71 percent on tick. No wonder my server couldn't keep up. Very poorly optimized.

Like others have said, this resource is just not ready to be public yet. It hasn't gone through nearly enough testing, and author has not fixed a bug that I reported almost a month ago. I feel that he just has too much on his plate right now with other plugins and such - I would recommend waiting a bit to purchase this one if you own a production server.

Far far too many issues to be considered for a production server. Doesn't handle NBT info correctly, doesn't handle enchantments correctly, 10x more resource intensive than any other plugin with similar menus/functions, and it seems Tech has entirely too much on his plate to provide the support needed to make this plugin worth it.

I have reported issues that go ignored and unfixed for weeks. This plugin has so much potential but it is currently aching with issues that need some attention. Stay away for now.
