Why did I add a malware checker?
"A few reasons, mostly tied to this:
https://snapshotmc.com/2019/02/06/m...loped-spigot-plugins-include-forceop-exploit/
It's a simple, lightweight checker to see if users have installed known malicious plugins. I am using my platform as a developer to alert my users to the issue IF they have installed those plugins. It won't be useful for 99% of my users, and it won't even show anything if you're clean, but there could come a day when someone has a bad plugin installed that gets exploited.
I could release it as a separate plugin, and the 900+ users who have installed Parrot Announcer, whom I care for the welfare of, may never know if they've installed a bad plugin. Most people won't bother installing malware protection plugins. This is just a simple way to help people out who don't know best practices for installing good plugins."
