HardcoreMining adds an option to make mining (Ores to be more specific.) more difficult. You will have to use any kind of light source to mine ores. However if you won't have any light source available, there is still an option to keep trying to mine the ore. There is a configurable chance (10% by default, however in the config.yml file you will see 90, so for example if you will want to increase the chance to 30%, you will change the 90 to 70) that even if you will mine the ore in a dark cave, it will break eventually but your pickaxe durability will be decreased by 5 (configurable). You can also edit messages prefix of the plugin. If you are an Owner or Admin and you want to bypass this feature, all you need is "mining.bypass" permission. (configurable). You can also modify the Light level (For example if you place a torch and you will stand right next to it, the Light level will be 15, however in dark caves the Light level is low which means 3 and lower, to find out more about Light levels in Minecraft, visit this website https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Light).
