Do want to point out that there exists a models folder that contains detailed configurations for all climate effects including sea level rise. You can control how much in-game actions impact carbon score, how much carbon score leads to increased temperature, and also what temperature is required for sea level rise.

Plant trees :)
You can manually override player emissions with the command /gw debug temp 14 but keep in mind this makes your players scores inconsistent.
Finally, you can configure the plugin using the models in the models directory to make furnaces emit less and trees emit more, or you can make it take a higher score for temperatures to change.

Wow. Yeah that is not desirable. Allowing you to either set your sea level by hand or dynamically determine the real value is a priority. Thank you.

Support for data storage without MySQL is definitely a feature I'd like to add. Regarding the minor bugs you mentioned, please report them so we can look into resolving them! Thanks!
