EvoItems – Documentation

Overview:
EvoItems is a Minecraft plugin that allows players to convert wooden tools and leather armor into upgradable gear. Each EvoItem gains XP through normal gameplay and levels up automatically, improving its material and applying enchantments up to netherite.

Installation:

• Download the EvoItems.jar file.
• Place the jar in your server's /plugins folder.
• Start or restart your Spigot 1.20.1 server.
• The plugin will create a configuration folder (optional for future settings).

Commands:

• /evo convert <item> – Converts an eligible item in your hand into an EvoItem. Only operators or players with permission can use this command.
• /evo info – Displays the Evo XP and current level of the EvoItem you are holding.

Permissions:

• evo.convert – Allows a player to use /evo convert
• Operators have access by default

Gameplay Mechanics:

• Tools:
  • Pickaxe – Gains XP by mining stone and ores
  • Shovel – Gains XP by digging dirt, sand, and gravel
  • Axe – Gains XP by chopping logs
  • Hoe – Gains XP by tilling soil
  • Sword – Gains XP by attacking mobs or players
• Armor:
  • Helmet – Gains XP when fully submerged in water
  • Chestplate – Gains XP when taking damage
  • Leggings – Gains XP when taking fall damage
  • Boots – Gains XP when jumping
• Maximum EvoItem Level: 7 (Netherite tier)
• Items are unbreakable and automatically upgrade materials and enchantments per level
• Abuse prevention: EvoItems cannot be renamed, enchanted, or dropped to gain XP improperly

Notes & Tips:

• Only wooden tools and leather armor can be converted into EvoItems
• XP needed per level starts at 50 and doubles each level
• Track your XP using /evo info
• Integrates with LuckPerms for permission management
