Six Stars for sure. Sorry for the long review but I cannot say enough good things about this particular MC super plugin. Always fast updates. (Used this for many years!!! TY to Mike Primm who has always kept it going.) It never fails to impress, instant server staff/player candy. Please make sure, all, to set your configs carefully and considerately. (!!!That is all. ) I dont know if I could even make servers without this awesome plugin. It's incredibly useful and awesome to showcase custom generated massive terraformed and normal worlds. TY Dynmap. You can only realy appreciate the scale of a minecraft world with players with this plugin. My survival world is fully generated and has giant trees, terrain alterations and about 50 custom other trees. Currently 25,000 blocks wide (fully filled by WorldBorder plugin) Dynmap is on jpg 75 slow render is fast. I have 2 screen shots one in game world showing last 5 10 15 min all in 20 TPS other the word getting generated in browser, so far so very gooood. (8 res 2 zoom in 1 zoom out with 2nd map cave layer. update-min-tps: 20.0 setting. Survival is on a iso_SE_30_medres and end has a custom rainbow topological map that looks sweet showing all end cities, boats vividly. Once again, a six stars plugin, in fact replace all the letters in this review with stars, it's still not enough. My host even recommends it! (Bisect, no joke!) Dynmap is capable of rendering from at least one perspective (or all if you're crazy! (4 maps N,S,E,W ?) every singe pixle in the game with up to 16 res per block. Custom textures support, live remote "members only" chat, banlist recognition, and more. For what it does this plugin is simply essential. Keep an eye on your player chats and activity with the map and so much more. I have player activated spells that put markers on our Dynmap, "playername discovered a spawner" triggerd if standing on mossy cobble in dark and below 40 eye level, also secret treasures discovered marked as claimed by them on map, villages that show what player owns or has claimed and protected the area (RiP Dynmap-PreciousStones *wipes tears* He was a good man.), custom icon (unicode) shop markers etc. This plugin will generate millions of .jpg on your server if you let it or make a map that big. (Seriously, use .jpg not .png. Is smaller and faster.) My last server had a 35k wide fully generated world, I asked host and they guessed around 20+gb of space was being used by Dynmap. They are happy to give away 50GB before checking why your disc is so chocka and mine was getting close, I just deleted nether world map was np. They told me 20gb was nothing and complimented my "light" rendering low res slow settings. 20+ GB map. Almost as much as my world files lol. HUGE high res multi layer maps will bother some hosts and fry their chips to way over cooked status if you set use multiple threads cores etc and fast bully settings when do large renders. Bully that machine? 7TPS is worth it if you are in a mad rush but dont. Dynmap wil do whole giant worlds over days never pushing lower than 20TPS np. Dynmap fully generated high res map is a server master achievement. Go Go GO! Imagine two worlds with one surface map each both posing as oposite sides of a planet, one in day while the other is in night, fully mapped? Why imagine, do it. Registered players can chat in transit on their phone's etc live to players on server while watching them play about the map. Players never forget a Dynmap server. (Ty Primm, thanks again. Best plugin, best cake!) ★★★★★★ since I first used it and may times since 1.8 days. Works perfectly in 1.15.2 as it did in 1.12+ and many previous versions. Dynmap has had way more downloads elsewhere that the stated 1/4 a million here! For sure, one of the top plugins in the history of MC plugins. No overstatement. Millions of downloads. VGJ Sir! Gold medalist plugin.
Dynmap-Structures addon is putting icons on map np in 1.15.2. If you think maybe your map is taking ages just remember if your TPS is 20 or even 19 push it a bit more? There is no rush, the wait is well worth it. When it's done make sure to set your tileupdatedelay: 120 or something long, also look at the triggers for map rendering after your world is done. With some tweeks you can get Dynmap to run always without ever bothering TPS below 20.0. My server has 60+ plugins loaded, lots of very big ones too. 20 TPS. fullrender-min-tps: 20.0. It also helps to not overload or rush your server map in fry chips mode as it can sometimes skip chunks which you may end up with a map that needs manually finished off? Is np and easy to fix but just beware. Dynmap has plenty resource use control, map size, resolution, rendering speed etc. Worst thing to do is rage at the plugin because it's slow, the wait is well worth it and you will see when you work with the plugin more. I have rendered worlds at 7TPS for 36+hours in a row way back in the days. I was worried it would make a mess of the map render at that TPS but the map was done fully NP 35k wide medres 1 zoom in/out. Do it. Let Dynmap bully your server TPS at really quiet non peak times. /whitelist etc if you have to? Be careful using Dynmap on a shared resources cheapo network also ^^ This one time the default port setting in my Dynmap started generating someone else's server's map and players chat. I was like Hi.. In their chat. Got a response too, it was unforgetable. XD I dont think they even had Dynmap too? This plugin is truly amazing. Last tip? Fully research the plugin's extensive help and references then build a few tiny 1k wide maps till you find a best setting that suits you. Speed vs end result? Generating a huge map is not something you want to do repeatedly so get the settings right first time before commiting to any large or massive render. O/ Good luck, all. Best wishes to you, Mr Primm.
