This plugin allows you to store your current xp in a consumable potion that can be drank by anyone.
There are two ways of using this plugin, which you can choose between in config.yml: players can create their xp potions by using the /dropxp command, OR you can make things more survival friendly by making players brew the empty xp bottles into which they will store their orbs.
Usage:
If "requireThickPotion" is set to false in the config file (default):
- Players can store their xp by using the command /dropxp
- Drinking a bottle o' xp will add the number of orbs stored in the bottle to the player's total xp
- If players have permission, they can specify the amount of raw levels to drop by using /dropxp <number of levels>
- Note: this will not necessarily subtract the specified number of levels from your xp total, but rather will create a new bottle o' xp that has the calculated number of orbs to take a user from xp level 0 to the specified level, and will then subtract that calculated number of orbs from the user's current total
- See https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Experience#Leveling_up for more info
If "requireThickPotion" is set to true (my personal preference):
- In order to drop their xp the player must right click while holding a thick potion. This will turn the thick potion into their xp potion.
- When brewing a thick potion, its appearance will be automatically changed to an empty xp bottle, however, regular thick potions still work as well
Changing the value in the config file requires a server restart or /reload to take effect.
Commands:
- /dropxp
- Stores all of the player's experience orbs into a Bottle o' XP
- /dropxp <number of raw levels>
- Stores the exact number of xp orbs required to take someone from xp level 0 to the specified level
- /droplvl <number of levels> (Admins only!)
- Summons a level-based xp potion rather than orb based
- IMPORTANT!! This feature is only meant to be used by admins for creating shop items, as leveled potions can be very powerful; if a player can convert their xp orbs into pure levels it could be easily exploited
Permissions:
- dropxp.drop allows players to store their xp
- dropxp.drink allows players to drink xp potions
- dropxp.specify allows players to specify the number of raw levels they drop
- dropxp.* allows players to do the above 3
- dropxp.lvl allows admins to use /droplvl and spawn in Bottle o' Levels
- default: op only (recommended to stay that way!)
