You have to go to their Discord and find an obscure link to a dev build to get HEX color support that was posted months ago, yet the Spigot download is still from April.

This plugin "works" with 1.16 in a sense that it loads and you can make tags, but it's very much so broken. Try to select a tag in the /tags menu and look closely at the description of the tags and tell me it's "working fine".

Do not download. Appears to be abandoned, and when 1.17 rolls around, you can almost guarantee that you'll be left with a plugin that never updates along with it. It had a good run, but it's time to move on.

I have tried other tag plugins and this is way better than the rest. It can easily support gradient colors from Iridescent and easily setup with VentureChat as an extra suffix/prefix.

Good Plugin! If you are using EssentialsChat please follow these steps:

- Turn off the DeluxeChat option in the DeluxeTags config.
- Turn off the format_chat option in the DeluxeTags config.
- Replace all the %placeholders% (%deluxetags_tag%) with {placeholders} ({deluxetags_tag}).
- Restart the server.

I would like to see in the following update something like /tagscolors to be able to select the color that you want your tag. I would also like that there was an option to edit the following and previous page I mean iron doors. and to be able to put the head of the player such as %player_name%, it would be beautiful to see that.

A good plugin, but to become great, you need Mysql. And after rebooting the server, the tag crashes, helps /tags reload. I had to put an auto-command /tags reload when the player entered.
If there will be mysql I will put 5 stars.

Pretty good plugin, got all a tag plugin needs and does work with essentials. For those having problems with essentials make sure to put {deluxetags_tag} in the group formats in your main essentials config. Also you need essentials chat for this.

Who in their right minds thinks it's a good idea to make your plugin overwrite the config file with a blank page if you somehow mess up? I added an extra space by accident and the plugin decided to overwrite that file instead of letting me know that I made an error. 2000+ lines, over 200+ tags, down the drain. Btw this plugin rules and im happy we can use it and test it but i think there cam de do much more and maybe already added more tags for beginners, i need to say thats realy easy way to add custom tags symbols. Command /tags list all crash my launcher and kick me from server. And selected tags are not saved and loaded everytime when player leave and join to server sometimes tags disapear.

Great plugin, I like the concept and everything but the bad thing about this is that it doesn't support other prefixes. For example on prison, you can't have A: (Deluxe Tag) Barnary. It will mess up badly and prefixes will be go crazy. Group manager support please.

This is the easiest to use tag system on spigot. I have no idea how any one cant figure out the easy to use configuration which is heavily notated and a public discord chat is available at the top. That type of customer service should be a standard for plugins and its not, but at least it is with CLIP. Great dev, fantastic stable plugins and my players love the tags graphical user interface.

This is a really good concept and idea. This plugin works great, but I have a problem so I have PEX and Chat-Formatter. And when I put in chat-formatter this http://prntscr.com/akwk44 the bit where it says {deluxetags_tag} shows up like this http://prntscr.com/akwkdm so I was just wondering how to fix it can you message me asap thanks! or is this a problem with chat-formatter? but it does say tag support. One suggestoin:
Make a /tags unset command, why you may ask, because:

I have this automated system with ConditionPerms and when a player loses an achievement, I have to clear his tag. Not a problem, unless the player doesn't have the tag selected that he lost. For example he has a tag equiped for being a Donator, and lost his tag for being a Milionair, then the donator tag would be unset.

very confused...dunno how to set up my own tags. tried using the example tag when u first load it, i dont see the word example next to my name. if there was a video or a tutorial....maybe i'd understand it better :/

The plugin seems good, but when I add the {deluxetags_tag} placeholder, in chat it stays like that. No empty spaces or the chosen tag. Just {deluxetags_tag}. That is why I give 4/5

This is a very good Plugin, thank you!
You could make an extra-file for the tags and better placeholders in the "messages"-file, not jusst {0} or {1}.
I'm using the plugin with DeluxeChat and it works perfect.

I Think this plugin is very good especially for prison I use it for crates when players open a certain crate they can get tags :)

Very good plugin, but i am having a issue, when i put {deluxetags_tag} in the essentials Config, it just has {deluxetags_tag} in my chat and no the tag i selected, i have essentials chat but i cannot fix this issue

For some reason that tags wont show up when i add a tag to me. I am not using Deluxe_Chat but i did change the config to false and the placeholders from %deluxetags_<id>% to {deluxetags_<id>} i do not know the issue but it seems to be a very easy to use plugin other wise, keep up the great work

A nice addon for DeluxeChat and worth using for what it describes.

Now, I have some mixed feelings about the plugin. I say this because the lack of customization with the addon. I say this very lenient because its already customizable chat wise but that's ALL. Its not to the best it could be by quite a large bit. Below are my suggestions.

- Suggestions -

*Customize GUI:
- Menu Name
- Menu Items (Different item then the nametag)
- Item Names (Different name then the tag)
- Multi-Line lore
- Configurable splitter ((the black glass panes) change names, item type, lore, etc)
- Configurable menu buttons. (change names, item type, lore, etc)

*Multiple Prefix's / Suffix's
- ex. %deluxetags_tag1% %deluxetags_tag2% (not something I think I would use much, but cool feature none the less)

*Suffix
- I assume this isn't as easy as doing prefix's but self explanatory.
- Multiple suffix's

NOTE, below is me ranting a little bit. Viewer discretion is advised.

Its a great addon and I will continue to use it, however adding customization to this would be great. Personally I take this as a premium plugin even if the price tag is free because it only works with 1 plugin that is premium. Now I am fine buying something like this as a premium addon on top of the DeluxeChat, but not it the plugins current state. Seemed like it was made over night and forgotten about. Doesn't have even close to the same quality as your other premium plugins which I can understand but kind of disappointed about.

Over all, the plugin is nice to have, and it is fully functional but the customization is a huge point that lowers the overall quality of the plugin it seems. Hopefully we can see some updates for the addon in the near future. Im not here to be mean, just giving my thoughts. Developer is great, past works and current work is amazing. I have nothing against extended_clip what so ever. Great person :)

While I respect your review, I disagree that the lack of customization degrades the plugin as much as you feel it does. While this does only work with DeluxeChat, I did that for a reason. I could have added support for all other chat plugins, added GUI customization and sold it for a few bucks. I figured I would give back to people who use DeluxeChat and keep it exclusive. Gui customization is a planned feature but as this plugin is free, I do have other plugins with a higher priority to worry about. I did spend quite a bit of time on this plugin and it surely wasnt made overnight. All in all, thanks for the review and be patient because the GUI customization is already in the works.
Also a note to keep in mind. I have over 10 resources to maintain and this can be very time consuming and tons of work for 1 person. I do the best I can with the extra time I have to work on plugins and sorry if I dont roll out updates as fast as some may like.

I may add mysql support in the future although with my latest test version of DeluxeChat I have implemented bungee support so all of your placeholders will be shown on the other servers :)

This plugin only has 2 requirements to work:

1. DeluxeChat http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/deluxechat.1277/
2. A 1.8 server

It clearly states you need both in the description or the plugin will not work.

Great plugin! Only complaint is the barriers in the GUI.. You literally ruined compatibility with 1.7 servers by putting two unneeded items in the GUI.
