About ColorfulChat is a lightweight plugin, that allows you to color and format text ingame. This includes the ingame chat, signs and item names. The plugin makes use of Minecraft color and format codes. Simply put the code (a number or letter corresponding to a color or format) inside two ~ (tildes).
Example: The number 1 corresponds to blue. So to color text in blue, you would write this:
~1~This text is blue
Resulting in this:
This text is blue
Features As said above, this works for the ingame chat, signs and item names. But ColorfulChat also has some useful commands.
/cc emulate <text> This emulates the provided text. Coloring/formatting can become complicated, so you can use this command to preview how the colored/formatted text would look like.
/cc rename <text> Don't want to always use an anvil to rename items? Use this command instead.
/cc permissions See what permissions you have. (More detail down below)
/cc reload_config (Requires OP) Reload the plugin's config.
Permissions(with LuckPerms) If you have LuckPerms installed, you can use the following permissions: - colorfulchat.chat.coloring - colorfulchat.chat.formatting - colorfulchat.itemname.coloring - colorfulchat.itemname.formatting - colorfulchat.itemname.renameCommand - colorfulchat.sign.coloring - colorfulchat.sign.formatting
IMPORTANT: Permissions will only be checked, if the corresponding feature has 'requires permission' enabled. -> See /cc settings
Permissions(without LuckPerms) If you do not have LuckPerms installed, the plugin will resort to 'simple permissons'. Meaning if a feature requires permission (-> See /cc settings) it will check if the player is an operator (has OP)
