ClearChat V1.2-BETA: The Universal Feature Update


This update represents a major technical push, fundamentally rebuilding ClearChat for cross-version compatibility and stability. We are shifting from a utility to a robust chat manager.



⚠️ Stability & Testing Notice (PLEASE READ)


The core code has been engineered to run on 1.8.8 up to 1.21.x, but due to the project's long break, comprehensive testing has only been performed on core functions (commands, messaging).

Please report issues, especially regarding the features listed below which require community validation:

• Anti-Spam/Moderation: Need stress-testing under high load.
  
  
• Version Compatibility: Need confirmation on versions 1.13+.
  
  
• PlaceholderAPI: Needs live server testing.

• Universal Version Goal (1.8.8 - 1.21.x):
  
  • The core chat logic relies only on stable Bukkit APIs, aiming to work consistently across nearly all modern Minecraft versions.
    
• Enhanced Stability & Thread Safety:
  
  • Critical thread-safe scheduling is implemented in the chat listener to prevent crashes and lag.
    
• Private Messaging:
  
  • Fully functional /msg and /reply commands.
    
• Command Structure:
  
  • All /cc sub-commands are confirmed to execute properly.

• Swear/Censor Filter:
  
  • Blocks customizable words from config.yml. (Needs validation on multi-version servers.)
    
• Chat Cooldown (Anti-Flood):
  
  • Enforces a configurable time delay between messages. (Needs stress testing.)
    
• Message Repetition Blocking:
  
  • Prevents players from sending the same message twice. (Needs validation.)
    
• PlaceholderAPI Support:
  
  • The necessary code is present to display prefixes/data in chat formats, but requires verification on a server running the PlaceholderAPI plugin.
    
• Global Chat Mute:
  
  • Admins can toggle a global chat mute (/cc mute). (Needs live testing.)

Hi there!

I have updated ClearChat and added many more things to it!

Here is a list of items added to ClearChat to make it better chat management plugin:

- Clear the chat for you, a specific player, or the whole server!

- Mute/Unmute chat for you, specific player or whole server.

- Simple anti-spam chat manager (Blocks a player from spamming the same or similar message more than twice at a time in chat)
