it works great but the code quailty is poor, if you have your message list longer than 20 characters, it would not filter.

Yeah I deliberately left it like this as I don't believe many words you need to filter out would be more than 20 characters long. If there is a word longer than 20 characters that you need to filter then just split it into two different words on the list and it will work fine! :)
