Block4Block 3.0 Patch Notes: This major update makes a huge change in a core feature, claiming land. Now the effort put into protecting your claim is much more in line with the effort to remove and grief it. We have also been finishing up many improvements to the early game experienced and we are now switching to the midgame and have opened up The Nether and added a bit of fun to discover. 4 Directional Lectern Protection:
Before intruders can steal the book from, or break; the lectern, any blocks in direct contact with the lectern has to be removed first. Bottom and Top are excluded. A protected lectern can't be broken with explosions.
A message will appear in your actionbar when attempting to break a protected lectern: "Lectern is still protected from 1-4 side(s)."
The blocks protecting a claim lectern in its 4 directions are protected against explosions.
You have the option to create defensive pillars around the lectern by stacking falling blocks like gravel, sand, and concrete powder (16 color variations) atop of the protecting blocks.
These changes lets you protect your lectern with a 1-to-1 ratio for placing protective blocks the intruder now have to break. Only limited to 4 solid blocks and thousands of falling blocks and this is without considering the potential applications of redstone.
This is configurable and the host can choose what sides to enable, all 6 directions are accounted for.

Midgame: Overhauled The Nether interactions and balance. All blocks in The Nether should now be obtainable.
When Magma Cube Spawners are placed in the overworld they turn into Slime Spawners and vice versa.
