You can with this plugin catch mobs with eggs.

Catch a mob:
Throw an egg at the mob, and then the mob despawning and drops a spawnegg.

You can set percentage catch chance and item cost at the config.yml in the plugin folder.

Catch all mobs: bmec.catch.*
Specific Mob: ex. bmec.catch.cow

Show Informations about the plugin: /bmec info
