AutoBroadcast 2.0.0

Hey everyone, it has been quite a while since I've posted any kind of plugin update -- and for that I apologise, but life, work and college has really taken it out of me over the past 6-8 months. Disregarding that, I am happy to announce that today marks the release of AutoBroadcast v 2.0.0 which is essentially an entire re-write from the ground up to support kyori/adventure, MiniMessage (and thus hoverable, clickable, and RGB text!) as well as just being somewhat better written in general.

The configuration is mostly the same, however you will need to convert your existing announcements to MiniMessage format, instructions for which can be found here: https://docs.conch.rocks/autobroadc...ge#converting-to-minimessage-from-legacy-code

== v2.0.0 ==

- Support for 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, 1.13, 1.14, 1.15 and 1.16 dropped.
- Switched to JDK 16
- New support for localisation, every system message is now translatable by editing AutoBroadcast/locale.properties
- Moved to kyori/adventure under the hood
- Announcements are now intepreted as MiniMessages, rather than legacy color codes.
- New configuration option to randomize the order of announcements

I have a good few ideas for a 2.1.0 release in the next few months, but I'll talk about those at a later stage.
Help would be appreciated in translating the default locale, appropriate attribution will be provided.

That's all for now,

This update is largely internal, but it also includes several highly requested features including:

  • The Ability to reload config.yml & locale.yml using /autobroadcast reload (this will also reset the broadcast task)
  • The ability to use placeholders in broadcasts
  • BStats anonymous statistics
See PR#1 for the change-log

I suggest updating as soon as possible, it's as simple as replacing the AutoBroadcast jar. The configuration will be updated automatically (but due to Spigot's config API's limitations, you'll loose all the comments)

Hey everyone,
Just some small changes in this update, bungeecord support is coming in the tba: 1.2 release.

Added a simple non-intrusive version checker to the plugin, only logs to the console.

Just changed the download link to use spigot.
----------, Jun 24, 2020

Fixed the download link, after I received a report it was broken, apologies

Hey everyone! Thanks for continuing to support my plugins, Autobroadcast has been neglected for some time (almost a year!) So, I decided to modernise it, with a near complete restructuring of the code-base.

https://ci.paradaux.io/job/AutoBroadcast/4/

Included is a new feature request, in which using the "autobroadcast.bypass" permission will exempt that user (or group) from receiving broadcasts. This functionality is disabled by default as operators are considered to have this permission by default.
----------, May 23, 2020

There were no feature updates with this release.

Merely switched back to compile against the Spigot-API and updated the pom.xml to compile against Spigot-1.15.2-RO.1

Feel free to suggest any changes you'd like to see on my discord or as an issue.
