With this Plugin you can open containers through item frames. When you sneak you can still rotate the item.

This plugin is initially a "one time release". I have coded the plugin once and there are no major updates planned. Maybe in the future I will add the function to make the item frames invisible (by command or click). Big bugs will be fixed though.

However, this plugin page will be updated again to make it look a little better.
