Excellent plugin! The integration of skills & perks to vanilla gameplay is perfect. None of the skills feel overpowering or out of place. Any additional perks like a Blink teleport rely on sprinting + double jumping , or other easy to use keybinds so there's no need to worry about awkward short cuts to activate a skill. The default EXP curve is perfect for my use-case and I look forward to seeing this plugin grow.

seriously makes mcmmo look useless (it is). covers a wide aspect of minecraft skills (probably the entire game) that give you actually practical abilities that cant just be afk grinded by some 12 year old with a macro. Ive had about one bug so far that got fixed within a few days of me buying it, this is FIVE DOLLARS i remind you. Dont waste your time with any other plugins

This plugin is seriously awesome! It brings so much life to the game, adding a levelling system that just feels natural and fun. It’s super easy to set up, and right from the start, you feel that sense of progression, whether you’re out mining, fighting mobs, or just exploring.

The skills and abilities really let players dive into their favourite playstyles, and the customization options are on point. You can tweak things to fit your server perfectly, which is a huge plus. The developer’s attention to keeping it as Vanilla as possible really stands out, and I hope they keep rolling out updates that make it even better!

If you’re looking to give your server that extra “wow” factor, this plugin is a total game-changer! I've been using it for years now, so I highly recommend grabbing it – your players will love it!

P.S. 1.21.3 support when? :) My server doesn't recognize it as a plugin unfortunately.

I have had problems with the translation file. I tried translating from Spanish to English, but everything I translated gets overwritten. Additionally, I tried requesting a refund, but so far, I haven't received any money. Could you please help me with both issues? I would also like to know where to disable the option that overwrites the translations so I can use my own translations in my own way.

Hola, como comprador de plugins normalmente vengo a dejar reseñas positivas, pero esta ocasión compré el plugin porque se veía interesante y lo compré sobre otros plugins de skills, iré al grano, este plugin no vale la pena, la forma para traducir su complemento es muy hostigante, cuando tratas de hacer un archivo de otro idioma aparte del ingles como por ejemplo es_ES.json te sobreescribe todo el avance de tu traducción del ingles al español y pierdes por completo el avance lo cual esta bien que tenga una traducción por parte de los creadores al español pero esta pesimamente traducido y por lo mencionado anteriormente sobre que el complemento sobreescribe tus propias traducciones es desalentador, y no quiero volver a mencionar las demas reseñas porque seria puro repetir, pero si, normalmente las reseñas negativas que ven aqui son ciertas, no permite editar los menus de skills para personalizarlos como por ejemplo con datapacks aparte es muy poco flexible a la hora de modificar el plugin, sinceramente este plugin no parece ser premium, hasta los gratuitos como AuraSkills estan mucho mejor, ahorrense el bolsillo y evitense las molestias.

Lo unico que recomendaria este plugin es para servidores pequeños, ya que para proyectos serios... hmm... no es muy util.

El problema anterior tiene que ver principalmente con el sistema de traducción, y si intentas editarlo, te impide hacerlo. Sin embargo, tiene una configuración activada de forma predeterminada que puede alternar y simplemente evitar que lo haga. Además, si no te gustan las traducciones o crees que no son buenas, siempre puedes hacer un PR en gitlocalize como está en la parte inferior de la página, ¡y puedes simplemente cambiarlas! Lamento que no sea para ti/que no te haya gustado, y entiendo al 100% que si tienes un complemento luchando por un archivo de idioma, no es genial. pero esa es una solución simple y me encantaría ayudarte con ese o cualquier otro problema que puedas tener, a pesar de que no te guste el complemento. y si desea un reembolso, no dude en comunicarse también, e INCLUSO si desea un reembolso, estaré encantado de ayudarle a alternar la configuración molesta / mostrarle cómo cambiar el archivo de idioma / realizar cambios para todos si lo desea.

Realmente valoro tus comentarios.

The issue above is mainly about the translation system, and that if you try and edit it, it prevents you from doing so. However you have a setting that is on by default that you can toggle and just prevent it from doing that. Furthermore if you dont like the translations or think that they are not great you can always make a PR to the gitlocalize as it it at the bottom of the page, and you can just change them! Im sorry its not for you/that you did not like it, and i understand 100% that if you have a plugin fighting you for a language file its not great. but thats a simple fix, and id love to help you with that or any other issues you may have, despite you not liking the plugin. and should you want a refund please feel free to reach out as well, and EVEN if you want a refund ill still gladly help you toggle the annoying setting / show you how to change the language file / make your changes for everyone if you want!*

In the beginning the plugin was flawless and I was glad I bought it, but on version 1.20.2 it is almost non-functional and can even crash your server. No fix or update has come yet.

While I was excited to give this a try, and the initial support from the developer has been on a good and personal level. Issues with some promoted features persisted. Reported issues of features completely ignoring settings (like ignoring disabled worlds and creative mode) haven't been addressed. And I am sorry to say that after the latest 'any player can crash a server on 1.20.2' issue that I've tried my best to bring up, I am at the moment unable to run this live. It was a 4,5 rating that's slowly gone down to 3 stars. And with 1.20.2 and 2024 around the corner for our upgrade, we have to take a break and reconsider re-adding after 1.21.

The Plugin itself is really nice, but the "Frontend" is not finished it seems like a early beta and has nothing todo with a "Premium" Plugin.

GUI is Ugly as hell and cant be customized because its not possible to use CustomModelData for Items and Icons. So the GUI simply looks like Ugly and dont fits into the rest of vanilla-guis. Thats really sad. Without this limitation the plugin has potential to be the best skillplugin out there but this is not able to use on modern Minecraftservers.

So if you had a "Kiddy"-Server that has very low standarts you can have a cool skillset with this plugin.
But if youre a serious Serverowner and want to be able to give your audience a real deal with Skills better use the free ValhallaMMO-Plugin.

Its free and much more Premium than this paid one here.

Absolutely amazing skills and abilities, wonderful GUI system for learning new abilities and as a server owner it's been a dream since it integrates so easily within the ecosystem of other plugins.

I first saw this plugin on a friend's server and knew it was going to be special, it surpasses other rpg plugins because it encourages you to simply play the way you want to level which gives the player a sense of immersion that other rpg plugins dont.

Excellent support and community.

Leaving my rating of the add-on
I like it a lot, especially that it gives the feeling of improving the Vanilla experience.
Everything is balanced and easy to understand.
Some things that could be improved in my opinion are the Previews, not the toast message, but the description.
But the description because it is not possible to modify the structure of the message. It is written as far as I understand in putting together the whole sentence from different sides, this makes it not possible to translate it correctly.
Example the library (Bookshelf) is not in the language file, so it gives a strange feeling to players who are not fluent in English.
(Description -- unlockthisbyclicking -- and of a part that is not in the options if it is not internal).

I would also like to be able to change the background of the gui of the progress menu, as I am using additional Customadvancements in my case and is useful to differentiate and improve this section, also the possibility of adding color codes in the descriptions not hex colors, this to add distinctive to both the description and the title to not dominate the green letters, for better reading and visualization.
I tried to make the change but it doesn't work well.

This also for the GUI components as for example in some of the GUI components the titles use non-configurable light colors, which does not make them look properly and causes users using Unicode font not to perceive them properly.
I'm not asking for Gradients or Hex or things like that, although it is the standard in the new versions of minecraft, but to be able to choose what colors to display so that they look correctly.

I know the gui structure is not modifiable. normally I would ask for it to fit the style of the server, i.e. that all menus have one design language, as it makes it feel uniform.
I don't know if this is planned for the future, I know the structure is to give a feeling of integration with vanilla, but details like removing the black panels, size, design, colors, would be useful for this.

Like the Advances, the lore of the description of each skill in the Gui takes it from different places.

This plugin is amazing. A true replacement for McMMO finally with an active dev, lots of content, and more of an actual RPG feel. My players love this plugin and I really appreciate how active the dev is in fixing any errors. This is definitely a server staple for me now and I know its a great way to keep my server unique.

I fell in love with this plugin within minutes of using it for the first time. It is by far the best skills plugin I've ever used and I've used them all. Not only are the skills interesting but its so easy to use, its balanced, and the interactions feel very vanilla. Many of my players have mentioned they love it so much more than its "competitors" and I couldn't agree more because there really is no comparison when something is this good.

On top of all of that, the dev is top tier. They are approachable, they fix any bugs that arise and they accept good ideas that come their way as long as it doesn't contradict the original vision behind the plugin. This is someone who really cares and takes pride in their work. Thanks for all your effort and keep up the stellar work. A+++

In my previous review, I compared Adapt to McMMO. This was dumb, because that implies that this is basically a fork of an McMMO-like plugin.

Since my last review, the features and fixes added to Adapt have gone above and beyond my expectations of what a vanilla-like "skill" plugin should provide. An example of this is the feature implemented which is essentially an optional "Hardcore" mode which makes players contemplate whether they really want a particular adaptation, as knowledge (the "experience" required to unlock a skill-tree) is no longer refunded upon a skill reset.

On top of the features provided by Adapt, the support and interactivity of the developer, NextdoorPsycho, is what really takes the cake here. In my last review, I mentioned that bugs were fixed almost immediately once correctly reported. Since then, the support has only improved.

Not only are bugs fixed within an inhumanly short amount of time, but simple feature discussions are met with a "yo look at this!" followed by a sneak peak of new features being implemented after a brief discussion of something that "could be cool".
(Note: It was, and is, bloody cool).

I'm gonna end my review here on the same note as my last one; this is incredibly undervalued. Get it, try it, talk smack with the dev. Your life will be better; trust me.

Adapt is the perfect upgrade from McMMO. No clunky commands, text spam or any junk like that. Everything is done through bookshelves and advancement menus, with a proper "vanilla" vibe to it.

The few issues I've had, have been almost instantly resolved by the incredibly passionate developer. When I say almost instantly, I mean legitimately within 30 mins after I provided a bug report for a particular issue, a new jar file was uploaded with a fix.

This kind of plugin and service is incredibly undervalued and should definitely become the next staple plugin of your server. Works amazingly with Factions, too.

Love everything this offers, especially since this means that I can finally ditch MCMMO. The source is actually readable if you want to mess around with it, it has proper translations, and it's actually immersed into the game world itself, rather than having to spam commands for everything. Absolutely love it.

For the gameplay content, this plugin is amazing, but for the manager system, it is terrible.

1. No admin commands for OP, I can't give skill exp to players or other things.
2. Language files don't support color code and I think it's not high customization since it's a paid plugin. For example, most plugins gui can have unlimited item lore lines, but this plugin is fixed, I can't make my own style skill menu. The GUI title also has problem, for most plugin, if the title has placeholder, it's just make the config like "<player> Skill menu", but this plugin just roughly splits the front and back of the placeholder into two parts, its troublesome.

The Wiki explains how to give yourself Skills.
?Adapt item <experience/knowledge> <skilltree> <value> gives you a one time use item that you can even give to players as a reward. if you are in creative you can use it infinitely

As for the Language file not supporting Color-codes, its Json, so it supports whatever text you can put into it. but a language file is not something that you should be coloring, all of those should be done in a separate file or value system to prevent unreadable language files

This is not a "create your own skills" plugin, this is intended to be an MCMMO replacement or an Aureliam replacement (in neither of those can you make skills without development) but should you be interested the discord is always welcome to help you develop your own skills, and the implementation has been streamlined in such a way that the usage and creation steps are super easy to implement. Otherwise Skill Suggestions are always welcome (most of not all have been added)

So no commands, less "chat-lore" and more in-world effects and abilities that feel natural, almost like it was part of the game in the first place." It's a great way to enhance the vanilla experience of your server while also staying true to vanilla Minecraft.
