bStats is a popular service used by many Minecraft plugin developers to collect anonymous usage data about their plugins. All data collected by bStats is completely anonymous and does not include any personal information. Users can opt out of this feature by disabling metrics in the configuration file of the bStats folder (in the plugins folder).
