Please add 1.21 support. I've been waiting for ages. :(
Will review this after I've recieved support.
Their discord links are all broken - Not a great start.
I went into this plugin thinking I'd be able to apply skins to ANY item but you're limited to the actual itemsadder "material". Such a shame. Would be great if you could apply the skins to ALL materials.
On the latest update, which is 2.0.0-beta1. I've decided to make ItemSkins use this approach to ensure ease of use and seamless integration with resource pack management plugin. If you have questions or concerns please kindly reach me out on the discord support server.
Version: 1.2.1
Good plugin! Comes with a learning curve but this is extremely cool stuff to have on a server!!!
I absolutely adore this project, I am just interested how fast will it be updated to 1.20.5 and could you please fix the discord link. Keep up the good work!
poor help He claims it works with armor. But the truth is no. Have to wait for an update that will never come. There are other plugins that actually do this. And I will move on.
Overall the plugin is good, however the biggest problem is that the plugin does not support skins for leathor armor(it looks like it does but when you equip an armor it doesn't show up). Will change my rating but only then the dev fixes the issue, cause it has effected a lot of users
I'm currently developing a system to support custom armor textures with ItemsAdder, I am in need of help setting ItemsAdder custom armor texture configuration, please direct message me on discord to make this system come true

This plugin presents a promising concept, but it falls short in terms of essential features. While attempting to utilize custom armor, I encountered a significant hurdle. Custom armor textures typically function by manipulating leather armor color values to display a custom texture. In many cases, plugins like itemsadder or oraxen integrate custom toughness and durability to emulate materials like diamond or netherite to the custom textured leather armor. When I sought support for custom armor, the developer, unfortunately, displayed a lack of understanding regarding the intricacies of armor skins that go beyond modelid numbers. This led to me being steered in an unhelpful direction. Upon closer examination of the plugin, I managed to uncover a way to apply the necessary color values for the textures. However, this method is only effective in applying the armor texture to leather armor, rendering this feature essentially unusable.
A potential solution to address this issue would be to enhance the plugin by expanding its configuration options. This enhancement would enable users to specify an itemsadder item and the material types they wish to replace with the itemsadder item. For instance, if a player possesses a diamond helmet, they could select the desired skin and then instruct the plugin to substitute the actual material of the helmet with leather while retaining the custom texture, toughness, and durability. This feature would provide a flexible means of achieving the desired customization in a more intuitive and practical manner.
TL;DR, If you're using this plugin to apply tool skins, it's a great purchase. If you're using this plugin to apply custom armor skins, you're better off looking into other solutions.
I think overall this is a great plugin. I have very high hopes for the future.

One of a kind plugin, truly best at what it does, very kind support and a very maniable config. 11/10 :D
I have added hundreds of item skins this plugin on my server and my players LOOOOVE having them. Such a cool unique way to give players cool looking tools, weapons and armors. Also highly customizable to prevent players without permissions from using it.

The author of the plugin does not answer anywhere, just ignores. The plugin does not have MySQL support, which is also a huge minus
Hello, ItemSkin will be updating in the next 1/2 days. if you have any update suggestions please go to the Hyanse Studios discord!

The plugin itself is very good! The developer has become a bit inactive, so that is a bit concerning, but I won't judge the plugin itself based on that. Aglerr, if you're reading this, we hope you are coming back soon!
Amazing Plugin, Amazing Developer, I asked for a small change in the plugin config and in less than 2 hours he updated the plugin, an absolute genius!! It's important to know about resource packs, becouse if you dont have an idea, the plugin will be hard to use.
The plugin is great, BUT:
- In the discord they answer you for a very long time
- CustomModelData does not work in the interface
- You will wait longer for verification in discord than you decided to buy a plugin
- You can't change plugin interaction command. The default is /skins. You will not be able to use skinsrestorer.
And yet I put 5 because it is very easy to understand the plugin, yes it has problems, yes it sometimes works crookedly, BUT there is no alternative and simple option.

Very very good plugin, works as intended. Would be nice if there was some type of support/documentation for the plugin so it would be easier to understand on setting up.
