MAJOR UPDATE! - SMOOTH SHRINKING BORDER, COMMAND TOGGLES, AND MORE
FateUHC v3.3.0 — Public Changelog (April 18, 2025) Over 50 hours of development effort
Added Smooth Border Shrink Mode via MC_WORLD_BORDER_MOVEMENT_SHRINK in /config admin: intermediate shrinks glide over the configured interval; the final shrink to the “shrink‑until” value animates over
30 seconds; vanilla WorldBorder damage of
½ heart / sec now applies automatically outside the border.
Enhanced The /border command now uses two‑step confirmation—running /border <size> issues a warning, and /border <size> confirm immediately snaps the world border to the new diameter, randomly teleports any players still outside the boundary, and preserves the manual‑shrink schedule for subsequent moves.
Improvements In‑Game Config GUI restricts the Smooth Shrink toggle to when Minecraft World Border is active and automatically disables Glass & Bedrock Rim borders when Smooth Shrink is enabled, complete with clear in‑game notifications. Startup initialization is now up to
90 percent faster (excluding world generation). All plugin commands can be globally enabled or disabled via commands.yml.
Fixed The final border shrink always animates over
30 seconds. Startup NullPointerExceptions have been eliminated by deferring border‑manager setup until after core managers load. Damage buffering has been corrected so that players take
1 HP/sec when standing outside the world border.
