Meh it somewhat works with 1.21.4. Annoying error popping up on server console. Just go to the source and compile it yourself like I had and it'll go away. This way you're not paying for it. Taking forever for a update.

1.21.3-4 gives a lot of problem lately due to update that change too much but only add "small" things. There's a reason why most plugin had issue updating on this version. You have to blame Mojang for that.

1.21.3-4 are still under development but is safe for production usage. However, since it is still under development, new features may not work perfectly which from, what I understand, is the reason why it is not released for the community yet.

Alternatively, if you DON'T want to pay for it but still want the 1.21.3-4 support, you can compile CoreProtect by yourself and instructions are provided in the Discord server.

This is my first bad review let me explain why its not one star:
they make people think you cannot use this without paying for it i can still compile it, it really isnt that hard i can code so it might just be easy for me but that should really be disclosed its hard to find out if you arent tech-savvy.
i wouldive paid like 20-25 bucks no problem though the problem is it being monthly its not the cost its the greed.

Core Protect used to be a great plugin. Now in order to get your issues fixed you have to pay for that privilege. I decided I will live with the spam of my console because it wont be fixed instead of paying for it to get fixed. Just not doing it. If you put out a update you should also make sure its usable without faults, not force people to pay for the fix.

Hides 1.21 support and severe issue fixed behind a paywall. Devs are scum. If you bring this issue up in issue reports on github they talk down to you because you dont want to pay for it. Intelli is ruining this plugin because he cant go get a real job.

After careful decision, I think it is better to use "the first time" to give a bad comment of 1 score to this plugin than to give a good comment of 5 score to the others, expressing my anger at what the developers have done recently.
If the developers of CoreProtect really have the ability, they should develop a “CoreProtect-Pro” with higher performance and more functions and charge for it to gain benefits, instead of making the difference applicable to commercialization in the update of basic functions and the repair of problems, which is simply self defeating.

Though it is frustrating that JAR files are now paywalled, this plugin is excellent and is definitely the best available for the task. You can get updated versions still by downloading the source and building it yourself.

After extensive testing, this plugin remains functional. To use the latest version, you must build it manually. Databases from version 22.4 are not migrated, but deleting them resolves the issue for my servers.

Maintaining a plugin for so long takes time of course, which is not free.
So you just pay for convenience (the ready to use plugin file) and the developer gets (usually) deserved compensation for their time. That's actually a reasonable and not uncommon practice

CoreProtect is the best and most efficient logging and recovering plugin Ive ever used. Its good to see that the 1.21 version is soon coming, release candidate 1 is already available on Patreon.

You can join the patreon for free to get the 2nd newest version (right now 1.21). First I saw all the 1 star posts and thought you need to pay but you can actually join for free to get the 1.21 version which runs without errors. I am surprised why the developer does this, for me it would make more sense to have a paid version on spigot with the newest version and a 2nd page (this one) for the free version but 1-2 version behind. This will only lead to ppl thinking that the owner of this plugin is money hungry. I thought the same until another server owner told me that you can join for free. Block logging is a cornerstone of server administration. Coreprotect developers know they have the market cornered when it comes to this. So, they have decided to get greedy and hide the latest versions of their plugin behind a subscription.

It's been 4 months since 1.21 has been released. Devs have AI at their disposal, there is no excuse.

As others have stated, I will be more than willing to change my review if the developers revisit the way they monetize their plugin, and when the 1.21-compatible plugin is out.

I have been using CoreProtect for quite some time and it has always worked well, but i am saddened by the direction it seems to have taken as of 1.21.

It has now been four months after the release of 1.21, yet the developer(s) still seem to hold any updates hostage to their patreon, which appears to require a $9 subscription that would likely need to be paid again for each future update, should you wish to access the download.

I do not mind buying a premium plugin on this platform and have done so in the past, but i do not wish to pay a recurring subscription costing half as much as Minecraft itself on an external website and have not seen any other dev go this route.

Comments on the GitHub point to compiling the project yourself which however means you can't keep your existing database due to a version mismatch in some of the available files/code. An official update is supposed to arrive "in a few weeks", or so it was said months ago.

I'd appreciate if the team or person behind the plugin was just up-front about turning it into a paid software (which is okay) instead of advertising it as a free plugin on this website when it no longer is.

Not that I wish to be ungrateful for the great work that has been done on this plugin, but after starting a server on 1.20, and then moving to 1.21, I have been forced to leave my server unprotected due to a sudden change in release cycle. I do not have the time nor expertise to set up and compile the plugin for myself, and I find the requirement to do so quite ridiculous. If it is necessary to monetize, put the plugin behind ad walls or anything else besides what it is now.

To set an expectation of a free plugin and then pull the rug out is quite sad, and to charge a monthly fee for it is even sadder, considering how hard it is to monetize a server, plus putting out everyone who is running a small server, and just want it protected from griefers or to be able to hold chest thieves accountable.

I have used this for years, this has made me really depend on this. after waiting for months for the 1.21 update i am now learning about the monthly slap in the face thing. i am not impressed. please get some sence back to this. i understand the whole premium thing. but monthly? seriously? i am really dissapointed.

I can tell you very clearly that even if you subscribe to this plugin and get the latest version, it will keep showing errors in a few days no matter what storage method you use, which will cause all your previously stored data to be scrapped! However, when you delete all the data in this plugin and record it again, it will be like this again in a few days!

Imagine having to pay off-platform for the latest version of a plugin. How sad. That's exactly what CoreProtect is doing. So, Intelli, when are free players getting 1.21? Oh, next year? Perfect.

I would happily pay for this plugin if it's a one-time payment. However, a monthly payment is impossible, so I'm sadly removing this plugin from my server.

The dev refuses to patch bugs for 1.21, requesting payment through patreon. Do not support a plugin for a dev that will not help the public.

Excellent plugin! I accidentally ran /clear on my players and didn't have any world backup. The player is sad and tells me to give back all the items. After experimenting a little, I discovered that CoreProtect stores inventory actions, so I rolled back the player's inventory. It works! Now the player is happy and continues to play on my server.

Must have for every server. Logs anything you could ever dream of to make moderation easier. Remember to setup a SQL database so that you don't end up for a 400GB file.

Not entirely sure what they meant. Just built it, all you need is maven.. there is no forcing people to pay for subscriptions... the concept of releasing things earlier to people who donate is not a new concept, especially for dev / experimental builds... and saying he forces people to pay is an especially ludicrous claim when the code is literally on github. ‍♂️

I have been using this for years, and it has always helped. I am happy to see this project being Open Source now, and that instead of waiting we can get release candidates through patreon. It helps me test my 1.21 server before going live and report back bugs. It's nice to see the source code so I can better learn how the system works and perhaps make custom patches for the live server to have a better plugin for my specific server setup.

This is one of the best plugin you can ever get, but there's one thing you should change first before using.

Do not log anything related to Killing Mobs and Entities, once you did off that, the hard disk from 20-40GB worth of core-logging, now it becomes 100-200mb.

For smaller server, its fine, for bigger server who make massive mob farms, this is a must.

I have been a server owner/admin for 10+ years. On every single SMP I have hosted, without fail, I ALWAYS use CoreProtect. CoreProtect is singularly the most important plugin I have ever used.

This plugin perfectly logs everything that happens on a server and has amazing ways to query the logs. I have used this plugin to reverse countless griefs and to investigate people who have stolen from other players on my servers. Additionally, I have been able to audit people's mining patterns and determine a potential for xray, as well as rollback people's inventories when they die due to a rule breakage or server lag.

To summarize, this plugin has been instrumental in almost every server I have run, and it performs perfectly in every way!

Versions 22.3 and 22.4 are only for money, there will be no free support. We need to look for an alternative plugin :(

CoreProtect is easily one of the best anti-griefing plugins available. Even if you have protection plugins, it's still a must because even the best ones aren't foolproof.

This is an awesome plugin to use, It is a life saver when it comes to investigating and fixing robberies and griefs, It saved me from having to use a backup even with griefs where the whole map on my smp was completly destroyed multiple times.

Commands are also very easy to use once you learn them making teaching other moderators how to use it really easy.

Having used CoreProtect for many years it has proven to be an essential tool for the administration of our server. Providing all the utilities you will need to log events and restore when things go wrong. I have found it works best in conjuction with a protection system knowing with peace of mind that when you need it CoreProtect has your back.

Very userful plugin, 100% must have plugin for every server(I am not joking), with the right knowledge how to use core protect you can find any x-ray cheater, thief, griefer, etc. You also can rollback their actions.

This is a really cool and useful plugin that every server needs, no reason not to have it in my opinion. You never know when you need to roll something back.

My head moderators trading hall got griefed and slaughtered. Coreprotect didn’t work as intended, and the villagers wouldn’t even spawn back durin the rollbacks. I tried some restoring, deleting the chunk and so on. Eventually the villagers spawned but they were all stuck in the walls or at other villagers rooms, or even outside… And the signs changed too, so idk what happened…

Really nice plugin but it have huge problem when dealing with rollabacks and undos: not all actions recorded and you can't properly stack them on each other

My advice for developer is take a look to how git works and try to project that to it, it will solve second problem

As the post before: A great plugin and I think to have it on the server let's the Players keep down. :) But it's annoying the look at the server log: "[net.coreprotect.hikari.pool.PoolBase] HikariPool-1 - Failed to validate connection [email protected] (No operations allowed after connection closed.). Possibly consider using a shorter maxLifetime value." 8 times each 30min. Is there a switch or a value to configure the maxLifeTime for this plugin?

I think it is a great plugin, but it has some error. When i use the plugin in my server, the console always tell me that the error "No operations allowed after connection closed".

Runs great on our hermitcraft server. Helps keep tempers in check when items go missing from chests. Performance is great even with five players simultaneously mining many blocks. Our server hardware is pretty lightweight, too.

The plugin doens't work anymore on my server. I've updated to the newest version and then the plugin stopped. Commands are still running but after a /co i test, it doesn't give info and rollbacking doesn't work either.

I used this plugin for 4 years and today I am abandoning it for reasons that it was consuming more than 118gb of my server's hd and the server is only 6 months online.

Don't know if it was a new feature or old one but my friend just told me we could rollback world's a day before I literally was shocked cuz my world's are 3GB+ and take alot of storage on backups but with this I'm less scared to delete my old world backups in order to restore if griefed.

There is almost nothing as satisfying as finding the punk who is messing with people's stuff AND rolling back the damage. This is my favorite plugin by a landslide.

Love this! Really helps for Events that require breaking blocks then resetting, Also great for Grief fixing. I struggle to get TNT grief fixed though. The only way i found i could do it was when i placed enough blocks to find who placed the TNT then Roll back that person

But rollbacks for entitys and Items have some problems.
Sometimes during a rollback some items in chests get duped and aren't at the right slot.
Also, if a Block is mined and the player drops it on the ground it will also be duped during a rollback.
And if a player breaks a fence and animals escape, they stay outside after a rollback.

I use this plugin to protect my players from greifing on my server. I've had to use it to completely undo players' existences before, and that's easy to do with CP. What I would love to see, however, would be a way to lookup / undo actions from all players except a list (something like user:!John,Mary). This is useful for seeing if anyone's been tampering with chests: /co l user:!John action:container radius:20. This is present in LogBlock, but I would love to see it come over to CoreProtect!

No words are really needed. It is as required for a server just as the jar file.

This is great for a skywars map, just delete the database after building the map and put the rollback on a command block whenever you want to play again. No need to unload and reload the world or restart the server, live reset of the map.

This Plugin is GREAT, it has all you need!
I am using it on a survival server, so i can see, if someone stole blocks. It's great! You can see everythig, you can see every grief and any bad things. Very performant and it doesn't take much space on the SSD!
One thing: Could you add a feature, so you can see, if a Player used a Nether Portal ?

I've had this plugin since I started a server in 2019 and it has saved us everytime there is a big grief. It's impressive how well it logs and restores data in a super fast and efficient way.
Very thankful, extremely powerful if you dominate every argument in the commands. From finding out dupe stashes, dropped/picked up items, to huge lava casts and TNT explosions.

really good and if some one griefs your stuff you can see who and undo it. all works and rollsback alright except redstone doesnt work at all with this, it will break contraptions that are somewhat complicated. but other than that great

Very good plugin. Databases can get large on a busy server, but that should be expected. The developer is very responsive. This is definitely a CORE plugin for my servers.

Works great! My only question is how should I purge data off the database older than 60 days whenever the server restarts? I don't want to use too much disk space with the database and chances are if something goes 2 months it is fine.

Constant updates, dedicated developers, and a well built system that keeps this plugin at the top of it's game with little-to-no server performance hit. I've used this plugin across all of my servers during the past 3 years and love every bit of it.

Absolutely fantastic plugin with an even better author! Love being able to keep tabs on what blocks have changed and the ability to roll it back!

It's pretty good although there are a couple plug-ins with more features than this. They aren't nearly as lightweight, though. I don't understand why I can't get a donation key by just paying $10-15 one time instead of a subscription-based model. I really don't like subscription-based payment models, it's really the only thing keeping me from giving it a 5.

The best logging plugin. Still haven't found an easy way to look up when/where/why players died but that's not too bad.

My only complaint would be that there are different plugin versions for various versions of Minecraft, so some of the bug fixes don't get backported - but that's a nit-pick at best.

An amazing plugin, especially to see progress on bases on my survival server! I've used this plugin for at least 3 years and from griefing to just checking up on what people are doing I love it.

I've probably used it for about 4 years now, whenever I've run a server it's been using CoreProtect. Brilliant work from the developers, I've never encountered any issues. I have a cron job wipe the database of data older than a few weeks every day so the database doesn't get too big. Other than that it's an essential plugin for all servers.

It's an amazing plugin!! I am a member of the discord and have seen the developments behind this plugin and just how frequently Intelli is updating this marvellous plugin. It's helped me identify huge thefts as well as rollback major grief in a matter of seconds. It runs smoothly and efficiently. If you have any questions go ask on their discord. Someone somewhere will know the answer. Any bugs? Discord is the place Intelli will ask questions and find ways to help you out.

That's right! Even if you don't have the latest version its been done in a way that it'll support newer blocks out. Before the v19 was released for free v18 still supported the 1.16.1 blocks and items.

Make sure to check the documentation for all the amazing things you can do with this.

The one star review below this one requires clarification. They had a question and to directly quote "But I’d also like to note, your message comes across as very entitled." Nobody said in that msg "entitled asshole", in fact, the shouting and attitude came from a rant from ironic. CoreProtect 2.18.2 works on 1.15.2 and 1.16.1 and CoreProtect 2.19.0 works on 1.16.1 and are both available for download through spigotmc. And work quite fantastic right out of the box without any need for complex configuration. I am very content with this product and the support I've received so far.

Rated one star for the Discord server. I simply stated my point of view on a specific situation, and was summarily banned after being called an 'entitled asshole'. Yes, you read that right. I was the one that was being verbally abused, yet I was the one that was banned. I never once said anything offensive or abusive, yet I was told to 'enjoy my ban'. Very good plugin, but sadly it can't roll back the whole world. as when you do /co rollback radius:#world time:5h. it asks you to specify user. so you can't rollback the world, unless you choose only one user.

Very necessary plugin! Being able to see who took something or rollback grief is very important on a public SMP.

This is suck an exellent plugin for logging chats, blocks. It's really simple to use.

The best rollback plugin currently, but still way behind the old system Prism's comprehensive, glitch-free rollbacks that log far more actions and execute rollbacks without leaving artifacts/missing features. There need to be a few more checks along with further testing, especially regarding containers, which I never seem to be able to get rolled back properly.
Edit @ Intelli: I understand how to use the commands, but in more than one test, they did not roll back anything in any containers despite many different attempts. Thank you for the fast reply though, I will take you up on your offer to join the Discord channel and I'll try to help with suggestions in the future. :)

Coreprotect is the tried and true block logging plugin that is an absolute MUST for protecting your online Minecraft servers.

WorldEdit logging does not work (tested with 1.8.8 Paperspigot; FAWE) :/

Excellent plugin. Doesn't lag and saves a lot of information for a long time. Trapped a lot of x-rayers while seeing what they got from their random caves.

CoreProtect is the ideal block logging plugin that we all needed. It avoids the necessity of external logging by efficiently storing all data locally in the DataFolder while compressing well. This plugin never fails to amaze me how fast and complete its features are.

Flawless, I accidentally ruined a MASSIVE section on my private server that a few and my friends play on.

I world edited over 10K blocks and the server crashed so there was obviously no //undo

Sure enough, /co rollback time:5m radius:100 fixed it instantly.

Works well and all but I'd like to see an option to purge some of the data because the database can take up a TON of storage. I've seen reports of their database taking up over 1TB of storage! A way to prune the logs after so long would be very helpful (or a way to prune the logs recorded within a certain radius of the player)

This is a great plugin, it's impossible to run a public server without it. My only complaint is the lack of permissions granularity. We really need a way to limit how much of a rollback individual ranks can perform. For example, I don't want my jr. staff to have access to the global rollback command, and it would be nice to limit them to a certain time limit on rollback to prevent mistakes.

Ever been griefed? I know players who have so many times! Ive used this as a Mod and now Admin on two servers i have owned. So simple to use and completely reverse any stealing or griefing or "accidents" with TNT or world edit lol. Only warning i give is to decide if you really want to log certain things, as the database can become massive (250mb+) in just a week logging everything. We do not log things, like sign text, mobs killed, world edit, logins, etc as these can easily be fixed normally or it is logged by another plugin anyway or is just completely unnecessary to most Admins.

I wanted to send a meme to my co-owner via discord since I thought it was funny. When the message failed to send, I realized something was up. I joined the server and the ENTIRE world was just destroyed. Lava everywhere, spawn gone, peoples houses missing, everything... I immediately searched for backups, but I forgot to set them up. I was devastated and felt betrayed. I was shaking and shocked. I just shut down the server that day.
Next day, I realized I had this plugin. I booted back up the server, and I immediately reverted every single block he has ever placed on the server. The server crashed two times in the process, but it worked in the end.

I am grateful for your work. Please keep working on this plugin for as long as you can. This message goes to all developers too that have worked on this amazing plugin. You saved a server. I'll also bet that there are people like me that had this experience. Honestly, the best part is that this plugin is fricking free. FREE! EVERY server NEEDS this plugin! It's so lightweight and fast! This is a spectacular plugin, and it radically changes the Minecraft Server admin experience. Every time a user reports griefing or a theft, it's now trivial to detect it and revert it, without having to lose progress or alter the rest of the world. Its user interface is simple to use but has excellent and advanced features, the database structure seems quite solid, and I like how it has support for both inbuilt SQLite and MariaDB/MySQL for larger installation. This plugin's rollback function is surprisingly effective at deterring griefing and other disruptive behavior.

Basically, if you own a Minecraft Server and don't have this plugin, you're doing it wrong!

Best updated block logging plugin I've seen. Definitely necessary for any public server or even if you want to be able to undo something that you mistakenly did. Works well with worldedit and is easy to use and understand the logs.

The best logging plugin. It's really useful when there are many annoying players that breaks servers' rules and destroy someone else houses. I think that the players are the most benefited.
It also makes the job a lot easier that looking old server logs to see chats and stuff. Great plugin, good job.

This is a great plugin.
It collects very fast and reliable logs.
It works reliably with 1.13.x. And the author certainly announced the release that fixes the bug that is happening in the current version.

I've used this plugin for many years now and love not only how easy it is to use (and teach my staff how to use), but also how versatile it is. This plugin has saved my life and my server many times and I can't recommend it enough. The fact this is a free resource still boggles my mind.

Works like a charm, been using it since i launched my own vanilla server. Havent gone into any majnor bugs, just abit hard to setup using SQL as the DB. Cant wait for future updates, its pretty awesome to go back in-time to see who has done what. (Opened gates, taken out items of chests and rollback areas that lightning started a fire :D)

It's a fantastic plugin. I've been using rollback plugins since the very first release of bigbrother over 9 years ago. I've used bigbrother, logblock, prism, coreprotect and a few others. As of currently coreprotect is the best option out there. It is so simple with how it tracks players and events. If a player places water and it destroys torches for example, just rolling back the player will also revert the torches.

Point is that if you want to have a truly want a server to deal with griefing without altering gameplay, this plugin will do the job perfectly unlike any others out there currently.

Part of my standard deployment for most of my servers. Seems dead when the updates are slow, but in reality there's a wonderful discord server I never noticed existed. The only major issue I've had was with WorldEdit (resolved in an updated version) and the ability to disable CoreProtect (to grief the server without logging, my fault since I never added CP into the blacklist on PluginManager.)

Best logging plugin that exist at this moment. Wide support for which server version to use and a lot of blocks that you can log. Also nice that the 2.16 update is nearly done. Good job man!

This plugin saves me time running my server on a near daily basis. A must have for any survival server especially, that does not want restrictive building rules such as on plot based servers. Currently there are a few bugs due to the enormous changes in 1.13, but the author is hard at work on ironing them out. However, it is still very usable & reliable as it is currently. Recommend checking out the plugin's discord as well, as people there are super helpful on resolving any issues with the plugin.

Great plugin that I consider to be essential for most servers. Yes, it has its share of issues, like most plugins, but the author does a great job of responding to any issues you may have. You cannot go wrong with this plugin.

This plugin has worked for our server since the early days of Bukkit. The DEV is amazing, has an active and helpful Discord for those needing support and or general information and questions. Highly suggested, and may I add only reliable updated logging plugin in the minecraft realm. 10/10

CoreProtect is one of the base plugins of my server for years. It always helps me easily access the logs I want to look for and decrease players' dispute.

This plugin is fantastic for a server to have. However, there are some minor logging issues (my current issue is the beta version of WorldEdit I'm using). Aside from that issue, I have had no other logging issues in my use cases.

Coreprotect is one of the few plugins that is essential for almost every public server. It is blazing fast, stable and reliable. As a server owner I have been using it for nearly 7 years now and its still being supported. I wish some 'big' software companies were as committed.

If coreprotect is not on your server you must not get any sleep. This is a must have for inspection and rollback of the player or any actions for that matter.

This is the most important plugin we use to protect our server! It is the only must-have plugin my guardians request whenever a new version of minecraft is released.
Intelli really has changed the way we run our server, so we dont need to have plots or worldguard and can let players build freely!

A must-have utility plugin. Theres simply no alternative as good and well-performing as CoreProtect. Has always been our saviour in the past years.

I absolutely love this plugin - it has endless possibilities to provide you and/or your staff team with the resources you need. I've been managing Towny/survival servers for years on end now and highly recommend this to any kind of server. Wonderful for rollbacks.

Many other block logging plugins have come and gone thru the years, but this one has stayed relevant and working for a long time. Has its quirks, but overall its the best block logging plugin at this time.

I've been running survival servers for years and this plugin has always been my "go to" antigrief/rollback plugin, never had any issues with it.
No matter what type of server you are running, i recommend this plugin.
It can never hurt to have extra protection.

I’ve been using this plugin for years without any issues. I definitely recommend this to anyone running a Survival or Skyblock server with a “No griefing” rule. Keep up the good work.

This plugin is a must for anyone running a server that doesn't allow grief or doesn't allow all kinds of grief. It's worked consistently and reliably for years. All for free. Truly a treasure.

Planing on using this as the main and only protection for my future projects. This resource logs every change happening to the server and is able to roolback anything to a specific time point. The roolback system of this plugin is the most advanced i have ever seen. Being able to only rollback a certain players data is essential and should be todays standard on any server.

Coreprotect is very useful plugin that i have been using on my server for years. It is the only good solution. The plugin is undergoing many changes and is getting a major rework. The developer has assured us that we will see an awesome new update very soon.
