Mostly internal changes here. The code has been tidied up, and the versioning scheme has changed to make a bit more sense.

• Introduced API - maven repo and javadocs coming Soon™. Versioning is done by minor release so API 1.0 is compatible with plugin 1.0.0, 1.0.1 etc but not 1.1.0
