This plugin is a real banger, really really useful and easy to use, made up a lot of things with it on my servers and the skript addon / java support are also really really useful !

Great Wiki, really in-depth, explains things well.
The organization of the files is great, i love how they are organized.

Don't enjoy it not having features it realistically should have included, like rotating blocks which is only available with an addon and WorldEdit support which is also available only with an addon.

I also don't enjoy some of the random things included like realistic campfires which really don't fit into the plugin well.

ItemsAdder is an amazing plugin. There is no limit to the things you can do with it. LoneDev helps you with the problems you encounter. It deserves its price without a question.

I have been waiting for an update for mythicmobs for a long time. In version 1.20.4, no creatures are given items or item drops are not adjusted in mythicmobs. The main basis of my server is based on this system and it is a serious problem for me and it throws this fix to the next update, making it a low level of importance to fix it.

the developer made excuses for continuing to offer support for multiple versions, even though he claims on his spigot page that he still supports older versions when he does not. He excused himself by saying that the culprit is ViaVersion and in an attempt to escape what he offered at the time directly made a survey to excuse himself and remove all blame, so 120 people decided against +12k customers who bought the plugin. But of course, as many of us could not vote this would be totally our fault and not the developer himself who listened to only a group of people. I find it terrible that this keeps happening even with versions that are not old at all. But the developer is probably incompetent to be able to continue offering a “good service” when he wasn't doing it either and used a pathetic excuse to continue keeping the plugin in multiversions.

Now I am forced to change plugin because the developer is not even able to support 1.20.4, knowing the risks for older servers to upgrade, as Mojang is making it more and more difficult.

If your idea is to restart your server every time an update comes out, buy this plugin. If you want to keep your server together with a version that is not old (1.20.4 for example) or soon 1.21 when 1.22 comes out forget about acquiring this, probably when the time comes the developer will do the same and you will have to look for alternatives.

Works as a resourcepack manager but a lot of features are broken and just ignored by the dev with no sign of being fixed

If my server has 1000 online i must offer support for newer versions

If i have a gamemode on 1.20.4 i can't update that to 1.21.1 only because itemsadder dev hates viaversion

ItemsAdder currently only works on 1.21.1 as its latest version. Any issues that happen on server versions IA doesn't support (yet) are not something we can nor will fix, as we do not recommend using plugins such as ViaVersion for anything other than a multi-version lobby.

Disappointed with Support and Communication

Unfortunately, my experience with this plugin and its developer has been frustrating. Communication with the dev is challenging, and responses feel dismissive, as though they can’t be bothered to engage.

Currently, there’s a major issue where packs designed for older versions fail to load on 1.21.2 and 1.21.3. There’s no clear information on whether or when this will be fixed, leaving server owners in the dark. The lack of updates on the Spigot page is disappointing, as there’s no breakdown of version changes or added features. Even the Discord provides no updates, and when I tried to open a ticket for clarification, it was simply closed without any explanation.

For a paid plugin, this level of support is incredibly poor. Many free plugins offer far more transparency and reliability. If the developer isn’t willing to maintain it properly, it might be best to pass it on to someone who can.

The plugin works as intended for all my use cases in version 1.21.1. There are no performance issues, and textures can be seen by everyone. I can't complain about anything. If you want to add custom items to your server then this is the plugin you need!

First of all, endless thanks to the maker of this plugin. The plugin is so good that as you add new content, your server gets better and better without losing performance. But the biggest shortcoming about the plugin is that not every setting in the config.yml file is explained. This is such a big problem that it prevents new purchasers or friends who want to improve themselves in the plugin.

Trusting the sincerity of the producer, please provide a detailed description of the config.yml file, either in the config.yml or on the wiki page. I looked at most sources on the internet and couldn't find a detailed explanation, thanks LoneDev!

It is a good plugin, the Wiki is understandable but to this day, I could never verify myself in the plugin discord because of problems with Discord itself (more because the Bot does not allow me), I tried to contact the support and I never had an answer. I find it sad not to be able to access the community/support (if there is one, since they put a Forum or platform where they “attend”).

I didn't want to give it 3 stars, but the fact that support can't help verify that I have the plugin purchased and access the community. It's a bit discouraging.

I'm happy with the product I've bought, since it is a very well made plugin. However there are a lot of points that have disappointed me since a while and I've feel like I had to comment this.

30% of the events/behaviors being completely glitched, most of them don't even work. Same thing with the particles and sounds, they are in the tab complete dropdown but when you use them, console outputs them as non existing. The wiki? completely outdated. I literally copy paste the entire example event section on my items to test, and there are 4-5 events that don't exist.

The events/behaviors/properties list on the wiki, and the vscode dropdown autocomplete are completely outdated. Some of them don't exist and half of them don't appear on the lists provided.

I don't like to sit with my arms crossed when this type of things occur. I have reported multiple things on this same matter on the discord and it always has the same outcome. every 20 support questions users make on the discord, only 2-3 are answered with very vague responses from the support team in some cases. There are some members of the staff which I truly respect such as Psycheer since he is completely dedicated to help users, and 99% of the times he nails it and gets the problem fixed. But still I don't think that's enough for a plugin this massive.

From my personal experiences, I have had to wait for weeks asking the same question over and over because it gets overlapped by others questions, and when it finally gets answered I get a "do this", I do it and it doesn't work, and they say "report it to the forum". I report it on the forum and it gets fixed months later.

I don't want you to take this as a critic, but as a way to let you know many of the things that need to get fixed and might be bothering many other users that are too lazy to report or talk about. I really like ItemsAdder but I had to make these observations in the right place. I hope this review turns out to be something good because I really respect your work.

Thank you for updating, but 1.21.1 does not work. The server does not start, and asking for crash reports isn't helpful as Pterodactyl doesn't provide crash reports.

One of the best plugins I've been using over the course of me running a server! Works amzing with a bunch of other plugins rarely causing any issues.

This plugin is the best one I've ever seen.
It provides almost everything you can think of when it comes to custom texture item/block/huds...

The author is insanely enthusiastic about this plugin, issues got fixed very quickly.

(btw, hope the compatibility issue with MythicHUDs in 1.21.1 got fixed soon :D)

It is a very useful and good plugin, which offers several features, maybe too many, but in its main focus is what it does best.
I love the freedom, flexibility and facilities it offers to make texture packs.

As far as I can tell, the updates can be a bit slow, but so far the plugin has been very stable and people could say that they are quite impatient and unaware of the big jump and changes since 1.20.5/6 and also that by its nature it became extremely difficult to maintain support for versions prior to 1.20.5/6 for all its inconsistencies and differences.
So in summary I recommend it (I do not recommend it at all to make custom mobs, only for any type of object, icons, guis etc).

This plugin is undoubtedly one of the greatest creations ever made by humankind.

I love this plugin so much. It is a big learning curve but if you reference the wiki, free addons, and YouTube videos, you can add ANYTHING you want. Don't be afraid to ask questions on the discord!

First of all, the plugin features are tremendous. With so many resources at your disposal, you can turn your server into anything you want! The wiki page is extremely good compared to other plugins, there are a lot of informative articles and the developer is constantly updating it. As for the developer, he always keeps the plugin up to date and communicates with you via github in a tremendous way, answering requests, bugs and everything within hours or even minutes!

The plugin seems good, never tried it because of errors and i can't use the forum since the confirmation email doesn't arrive, i'm doing this review because i tried to get help on discord but i need to use forum, i'm using the version 3.6.4-release3 and i have a problem with the plugin and i can't use it. I'm waiting for lonedev to fix the confirmation email and then i can write a real review

I'm using version 4.0.2-alpha-test-3, but it's not very compatible with Craftorithm, guess it may be that the ItemStack class implemented by itemsadder itself can't be converted to the Craftitemstack class, I hope this will be fixed in the next version.
Of course, this is the perfect plugin that always does what you imagine and makes the impossible possible. Allowing people who have never learned packages, mods, and plugin development to add more content to their heart's content, these are like magic for me, a noob, thanks to the author's dedication to the community

Great plugin. I only used this plugin to add a few items, but it is so useful and easy to use that no other free plugin can replace it.
It is very convenient to upload a YAML file with the item's information and a PNG file of the texture and then just run a few commands to add the item.

After 500 hours of learning this plugin I must say ItemsAdder is so much better than I initially thought. This is not a simple plugin but its so well done. Everything is possible with a *little* time and patience. There is nothing as satisfying as when you find a solution to a problem you have been trying to figure out for so long.

This plugin is quite hard to learn fully (which I have not done yet) and beginners is probably going to struggle a little. With this much power in your own hands comes the downside that its very difficult to learn but that is not a bad thing. Of course things are going to take time and not work sometimes, but I believe people need to understand that this is normal.

Everytime something has been 'broken' it has been my own fault. For example, imagine blaming Mojang when your 2x2 piston door doesn't work because its too complicated for you to understand redstone ;)

Great plugin and I get the devs reasoning for not providing 1.21 support yet but it is for many becoming a big issue and holding a lot up from updating to 1.21. Whilst 1.21 isn't on a stable release yet it realistically probably isn't far off.

Falsely advertising 1.21 support which if you believe and update will break your server items. I get t. he devs reluctance after searching up the issue but it really is about time we saw the 1.21 support implemented now. ItemsAdder has been around for a while and is a fantastic resource to use. The learning curve is steep but with enough patience, the wiki explains just about every question you could have. Support is not the greatest but when the plugin works as well as this does, I can overlook it. ItemsAdder will always have a place on my servers

works well when it works but things frequently seem to not act as expected or in weird ways, now with a month of downtime Im all but forced to redo my entire server without itemsadder.

other reasons for the low review.

2. Useless obscure change logs that link to a website that then links to a bazillion github issues that you then have to open each one just to see what was done. there's no short concise summery any where just total pain in the Butt.

3. total lack of compatibility with any other plugin. tons of plugins add support for itemsadder but itemsadder does nothing to support any of them besides API.

example want to drop some special item from enchantment plugin. from a custom Block you made in itemsadder forget it you cant. it might be possible but you will need to retype all the stored nbt character for chatterer in the config in some poorly documented format. that I had no hope of working out despite years using yaml.

it could really benefit from a reserved namespace such as _saved_ that can store and recreate items that are being held. once a namespace is defined for an item and its saved it could then be referenced in loot tables and many other places within the plugin with ease. allowing much greater compatibility with all kinds of plugins.

The Plugin works well, however I have been unable to get any support in its use. I joined he discord and followed all the steps in order to get verified but its been weeks and I still havent recieived any role my discord is 0Krix0 if you could please add me to verified I have purchased the resource

There is no doubt that it is a powerful plugin，but Im having a bit of a problem with it.
When there are two or more people on the server, it will report an error and cause one of them to kick out of the server, which I found to be the problem after trying to prune my other plugins.

It's just fantastic, and a must have plugin, rather simple to use, and a very comprehensive and complete documentation!

What's more, a very large community, whether on the discord or not, is present and very active. And tons of content, both free and paid, is also available on many websites.
I highly recommend this plugin to anyone running a "custom" server, in 1.15 and above.

Special mention to the forum, especially the creator, who is very patient and ready to solve your various problems. I'd like to thank him here again!

ItemsAdder is one of the best plugins in all of Spigot as it allows you to do things that would naturally be done with mods. Highly recommended, the only bad thing is that I recently tried to ask for help for an error that appears on the console but they did not give me a solution and it is strange since they had helped me before. But otherwise it's very good.

This is THE plugin for custom items, it makes adding new items so easy, i never want to make a custom resource pack without this plugin again, everything works smooth, and for the price the price is really worth it when you think of how much time you save using this plugin

They got wurst support i am having way to much big problem but still i am not able to get support on there website i have literally tried everything i got customer role in there discord and website everywhere they want me to get customer role i get it but still i am not able to open any kind of ticket or forum on there website or discord they literally have zero support i never recommend this plugin

I love this plugin, however I am having issues with it and it seems like other people on the internet aren't having. I am using the self-host method for hosting a resourcepack, and every time I reload my server or reload ItemsAdder, I get an error saying my IP is already in use, and I am unsure what that means (I use a hosting service too).

Its says: "✅ Realistic lag-free vehicles! (cars, planes..)"
And it`s not true at all, there is no vehicles at all, not built-in, not in market.
Some Items not working due different file system, for example 70% of downloaded "Items" uses "items_packs" and "resource_pack" folder and this folder system not working with this plugin at all, but system that uses "configs" and "resourcepack" is working fine.

So for example if you found some sweet items you want to add it in chance of 60-70% it has different file system from current file system in Plugin and your sweet items will not work. I guess its all on community, but Author can make some support for those different folder systems or regulate it on store somehow.

PLUGIN IS AMAZING, but some things not that cool as it says at first look.

It continues to improve and I hope it continues to increase in quality and I am looking forward to the new version.

I have a problem, I bought the plugin and when I started it it said that the plugin is not up to date. I still tried to enter commands in the game but nothing happens. ( an internal error occured while attempting to perferm this command ) I have not changed anything in the config file.

it is the best minecraft plugin, sometimes it has errors when you upgrade the minecraft version but reporting the errors the creator answers you and points them to fix it.

The plugin is alright (kinda complicated but not terrible) but the worst part is how hard the dev is to contact when issues arise. Honestly I could contact the queen of England easier and she is dead! At least I wouldn't have to go through a broken discord verification system and not be able to verify on the Ouija board!

I finally got help from SirCraftyPants in the ItemsAdder Discord, there are some incompatibilities in 1.20.2 but these are the versions that are working for me: ItemsAdder_3.6.2c, ProtocolLib 5.1.1 (build #673) and lonelibs 1.0.31.

Aside from recent incompatibility issues, ItemsAdder is a great plugin and an industry standard for big servers. The best part of it is the marketplace.

Tip: in my personal experience, the latest updates are most times unstable, find stable ones and don't update them unless you make a backup and 100% know the new updates work/are compatible with the dependencies.

Hello, IA plugin has conflict with "ProtocolStringReplacer" plugin, it will show network unavailable, please ask the author to make it compatible.

Been using ItemsAdder for years, Barely ever had any issues with it and when i did have an issue it was fixed swiftly. ERRORS should be REPORTED on GITHUB, If you want SUPPORT you should be PATIENT and ask the COMMUNITY on DISCORD, If you have no luck on Discord then ask your questions on the FORUM. There's no excuse to post Errors in Reviews because there's a Github for that. I've used over a hundred different plugins over time and this DEVeloper is by a mile the best Dev i've known, No1 in my Top 5 Devs. We've had our moments of misunderstandings but overall he's a great guy and always does his best to make sure issues are dealt with as swiftly as possible. If i could give this plugin 10 Stars I would because it deserves more than impatient and lazy reviews.

There is a working version of LoneLibs that works with the latest version which can be found on github. It is not easy to locate as most download links point towards the spigot page.

The plugin overall is really good and functions well and I highly recommend buying if you are needing a custom texture plugin. Developer is awesome at fixing problems and improving performance.

This review is meant as a PSA on why it does not currently work with the two versions located on SpigotMC regardless if they are labeled as "BETA" or not.

The two sawdust for brains below are not Beta testers, they are likely the same person or friends. I contacted them informing them that they are not beta testers so shouldn't be downloading beta versions. I instructed them to download the previous stable version and wait until the next stable version becomes available. They didn't seem to like me pointing out their ignorance and stupidity so have decided to post a second copy and paste of the first. Very sad people indeed. IO even informed them that the review section was not for error reporting and that a Github exists for that purpose. They ignored that and insisted pathetic reviews are the best way to motivate developers. I informed them that they were wrong, it in fact demotivates Devs. I also informed them that unless they report the actual error in the correct way it will take longer to be fixed, still they refused to listen.

The current version does not work with the latest version of LoneLibs and causes server to crash. Will update/remove review once this issue is fixed. This is just a little PSA about the problem.

This plugin is absolutely amazing! Worth the money, support is a bit delayed but everything is always resolved!

Excellent plugin with long-time support and a great developer.

One thing I am disappointed about, however, was in the past there were MANY more default items. However, nowadays there is only a fraction of what there was (even when I download all possible items from his website). It felt like before it was more of a full solution whereas now you have to add your own items to really get the most out of it.

Also I really wish MMOItems and ItemsAdder merged together as they both offer very unique features but are both limited when they do not support working together. E.g. if i want custom looking armor that does MMOItem abilities I cannot do it. ItemsAdder is honestly pretty limited in how armor and weapons behave. Very vanilla gameplay. It'd be neat if built-in abilities were possible (like MMOItems does).

Probleme, all armorerstand are invinsible, the owner told me is from one of my plugin, but all of them look compatible... I will remove the 1 star when i got help.. but actually is hard to get some.

20/10 this plugin is border line black magic and its to good to be real its worth every pence you have to pay for it

I don't understand why some guys here are complaining about the complexity of the plugin. Of course if TitemsAdder brings a lot of features, it has to be complex in some way.

You have to learn, to try things by yourself in order to create what you want. After almost 2 years of using this plugin, with a LOT of struggle, I can do whatever I want thanks to LoneDev and his amazing plugin.

Don't be a jerk, TRY to understand, and if you really want to use its plugin you will succeed. Moreover I don't find this plugin so hard to use plus the wiki is detailled.

After 100 hours of learning this plugin I must say ItemsAdder is so much better than I initially thought. This is not a simple plugin but its so well done. Everything is possible with a *little* time and patience. There is nothing as satisfying as when you find a solution to a problem you have been trying to figure out for so long.

This plugin is quite hard to learn fully (which I have not done yet) and beginners is probably going to struggle a little. With this much power in your own hands comes the downside that its very difficult to learn but that is not a bad thing. Of course things are going to take time and not work sometimes, but I believe people need to understand that this is normal.

Everytime something has been 'broken' it has been my own fault. For example, imagine blaming Mojang when your 2x2 piston door doesn't work because its too complicated for you to understand redstone ;)

not simple to use, unnecessarily complicated and you have to go thru so many links to even get to their discord to get support, I'd reconsider if things happen to make it actually easier to use like 99% of the plugins out there

tbh this plugin is complicated at firt but then you learn it i gave it like 20 tries no things not that good support and that but then i found more out aka i used the wrong image size for weapons so now i just use default pack images and make everytyhing diffrint then you learn more and more and this is proberly the best plugin to do this its super easy when you get how to use it so i would say

I bought this Plugin aftter checking out its features and owning many MCModels which have drag & drop files for ItemAdder. Ive been trying to set this up for 10hours now following all the Steps provided in the Wiki. nothing works. the wiki is pretty straight forward so im doing everything as asked of me. the basic pack doesnt work. the add on pack doesnt work. its all just named items without textures. im on 1.20.1 and im at a point of extreme frustration since im usually able to configure install and maintain any other plugin. 20$ for nothing

This is a very good plugin, you can clearly learn how to use the plugin by looking at the wiki, but the model needs to be made by yourself, I hope the author can give us an example model to try in the server.

I would say it’s a 9/10 but I can’t really say it with stars so I just made a 5 star one it’s a little hard getting started there’s tutorials but when you’re a vidio tutorial follower it’s kinda hard to understand sure there are tutorials in all the custom things you can make but no YouTube tutorials which is totally okay because the plugin never said anything about it but just take it as a suggestion

hey not sure why but the last one didn't seem to load for me, could just be me it's like 1 am lmao but thanks for the amazing work over the years, also had a weird situation, so I made a block that was also a light source and on interact it's supposed to grant an item and then replace to another custom block but it seems that it will replace the light then replace the block? once I removed the light level property then I was able to grant and replace but it didn't happen until it was no longer a light source. :c lol thanks

Been here since this sick ass plugin was named NewItems and let me tell you, this plugin revolutionized the creativity you can pull off on servers and in vanilla Minecraft in general. The last 4ish years with this plugin have been so fun and I've learned so much from it, so I thank you and I recommend this to anyone who wants to create a server. Its perfect for any theme, as you can literally create anything.

One thing to keep in mind for people who try to use Dropbox for their resourcepack hosting. Dropbox stopped supporting direct download and starting using their "/scl/fi/.../key" system, which broke the ability to use Dropbox for ItemsAdder's resource pack. This seems like Dropbox's problem since multiple people have been complaining on their side. I am probably stupid and there might be an easy fix for it, but I can't find one :c

Really nice plugin, the handling is easy and the documentation (wiki) is very well written. All example packs are really helpful. As for the support whether it's from the community or the developer himself, on the forum or on the discord, it's just perfect.

I love this plugin and I will always remember how the developer gave me a custom version to a problem that occurred with the emotes a year ago. I will never say that they do not buy the plugin because it is very worth it if you have the courage to investigate and try :)

Wonderfull plugin with many features, you need to invert some time reading the wiki and learning about what do you whant to do with ItemsAdder, after understand this the limit is in your imagination and knowledge.

By the way, the developer update constantly, if you found some issue this gonna be fixed in some update.

If you don't understand something, you can find a loot of discord servers where you can find tutorials, examples packs, or someone with knowledge about what do you need.

An absolutely essential plugin to have on your server of you want added items, custom armor, amazing gui setups and for me mainly the ability to merge resource packs as well. The way ItemsAdder handles merging resource packs is a breeze to use and after dabbling with oraxen I went back to itemsadder, it just works and yes both take some time and effort but that's just how alot of things are, you can't sit there and expect something to work out of the box without setup first but itemsadder comes close. Thank you LoneDev for making this and I hope you know that we appreciate you.

I've been using Itemsadder for years and despite there being free custom item plugins out there, i've never regretted paying for Itemsadder. It's been very rare that I couldn't create something i wanted on my server with Itemsadder, hopefully in the future those rare custom items i wanted will be possible, who knows but anyone claiming this is a bad plugin that breaks everything is both ignorant and impatient. Amazing plugin, extremely talented developer, and an active community. There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it it's really easy to do, and even a beginner can make a item in minutes if they actually tried. Considering this is a all in one plugin and a one time purchase at that, it is very feature packed, never had any lag issues or anything like that either. This is probably one of the few plugins I can say I had absolutely no regret buying.

This plugin is awesome, to be honest i was hesitating with Oraxen but the one file drag and drop integration for MMOInventory, and now the new auto resource pack functionnality that import automaticly the Model Engine mobs.

its a fantastic plugin and is helping a ton but after i lost my discord account linked on there discord. there is litterly no way to get in contact with anyone on there discord. they only allow verified users to even talk to get help with payment or even account linking issues ive tried multiple differnt ways to contact the dev with no luck so thats why its a 2 star review

ItemsAdder opens a backend door, I didn't even know that it existed. Once you got behind the system of how the plugin works, it's super easy to configure. They even offer an addon page where you can download 90% free addons which are insanely useful. I wish there was more but ItemsAdder already allows me to bring my players even more custom made resources than ever before. Before, I was using a own created resourcepack with tons and tons of custom skins. Luckily, it's very easy to merge both resourcepacks, so you can have your own textures, skins and items with ItemsAdder in addition! The Wiki page is super useful and everyone with a bit of experience can understand it right away.

i updated to new version and random crashes with items adder plugin spamming something on console i just deleted update and installed last version and problem solved

I try to do /iazip, but the compressing process takes a long time, and it doesn't finish. as if that didn't work, i put all the files in the right folders and it worked for me. I am a person who has always been using Oraxen, and It has been an absolute problem maker since I bought it. I recently switched to ItemsAdder and Oh My God, It is so easy to use and perfect in "every" ways.

I have bought this plugin just now,it works well and have no lag on my server,btw does it support GeyserMC and client mods like Waila and TOP?

Had to move to oraxon because of this plugin can not do basic features.

1) No support. You're then told to use the website forums to post issues, to which you get told "Do not report issues on the forum." ???

3) Plugin also has basically zero edibility throughout the menu's or items added.

Good plugin that adds more variety to a server. Its great that a default item pack is available from the creator. Overall easy to configure and add content. I did have to watch a video or two and re-read the help documentation but that was more on me and not so much on the plugin.

Literally MUST HAVE. The amount of possibilities with the plugin are endless and brings many features that bedrock servers had with their custom resource packs to Java. Support is really good and after purchasing through patreon, I had access to the plugin within under an hour!

This is my first plugin to add things and I am very happy. A lot of plugins support IA and it, in turn, too. You can practically write mods based on this plugin and it's very cool. Still, custom craft stations could be added, and it would be a complete demolition.
There is a little lack of accessible and understandable gui and hud settings/ As a person who understands only nocode, it was hard for me *

Excellent plugin! It does was you imagine and more! Sadly the only thing not possible is to model armor pieces (except for helmets), but that's a MC code issue. Amazing wiki page and support!

You can't make entities because the plugin for blockbench is not updated and the support is non existant

Good plugin but seems to change the mushroom block texture to be orientated incorrectly and I have been unable to find a fix for it. Makes worlds with a lot of mushrooms look awful, so I guess beware if that applies to you.
