Moved my IDE from Eclipse to IntelliJ so wanted to make sure I knew how to compile it etc, it suggested I make some improvements to the code such as removing un-needed statements and cleaning up code that could in a more streamlined way.

Fundamentally this shouldn't break anything but it may well do, if so let me know in the discussion tab and I'll revert back to an older version.
