Awesome plugin! It has been a classic for as long as I can remember. :)
Unfortunate that version 3.7 (for MC 1.20.4) is broken.
For everybody having problems (as many bad reviews here complain about), you do not have to use 1.20.4 version of this plugin. Go to "Version History" tab and you can download whichever version of this plugin as you wish. But yes, it would be nice if the plugin itself supported pretty much all versions, but it is understandable that that would take a bit extra effort in development.

Its a terrible plugin. It says that the plugin supports 1.20.4 but its not and its full of bugs. I do not like it and I will switch to another plugin.

Once again you updated the plugin by adding support for an experimental build of Spigot and removing support from previous builds... This way you complicate our lives! I will not update my server to Paper Spigot 1.20.4 while it is an experimental build. You should maintain support for previous builds, as most plugins do!

i agree 100% with DrikaGamer. due to most plugins taking alot of time to update most my plugins run on 1.20.1 working with viaversion to allow newer connections this cut off effects me until i can guarantee other plugins on the latest. For Example: Essentials is still on 1.20.1 , that means alot.

You recently updated your plugin, which by the way is very good and useful for servers (thank you very much for your work and contribution). The problem is that when updating it, it added support for Minecraft 1.20.2 and removed support for the previous version, severely damaging some servers that cannot yet update the PaperSpigot version to 1.20.2 because of other plugins.
The vast majority of plugins that added support for version 1.20.2 maintained support for previous versions. Why didn't you do it too? I kindly ask you to rethink your decision and provide us with support for version 1.20.1 for a while longer. Thank you for your attention.

I hate giving this plugin a 1-star rating, because it is very easy to set up and the GUI/language is easily customizable. It could be a great plugin. However, it does not work at all - trying to sell items in the auction shows an unknown error that says is logged, but is not logged anywhere. Because of this, the plugin is completely broken.

The plugin author provides no wiki, GitHub, Discord server, or any kind of support, and even states that the plugin discussion is not monitored. Where are we supposed to go to ask for help? It is sketchy that there are no external sources of information or support.

Also, the plugin does not have mySQL support, and the config file does not have any comments (or wiki page) to help explain what each of the settings do.

I would recommend avoiding this plugin in the meantime. If anyone finds anything equivalent, let me know.

A free plugin which works extremely well. Not nearly configurable as other auction house plugins. The GUI is bland and unappealing as a result. No game breaking bugs to report on 1.20.1, just some minor issues with player heads not showing lore or listing data.

No error has been logged, and nothing has been logged to console. I can't sell anything, thus making the plugin unusable. I'm on 1.20.1

In itself a very good plugin, but I think that the developer puts many servers in danger by not bringing a fix. I would fix the dupe bug quickly.

Somehow this is free? There is no reason not to try it out. Its a premium resource that you can use for free.

Support is non existent. Custom model data doesn't work with restricted items, among others.

Plugin is good but has performance issues and waiting time for an update is too long...

Very mature and feature-rich plugin especially in free economy SMP server, however the check for NMS version is unnecessarily breaking the plugin even if it's just updating from 1.18.1 to 1.18.2. Please consider update the plugin ASAP as I believe quite a lot of us is relying on this plugin for free economy.

It is competitive though, can't I find out exactly how to use it in a spigot 1.16.5 server.

Been using this plugin a few years, it's an alright plugin but there is a bunch of little glitches with the gui, and the lag issue mentioned below is prominent. I reached out a few months ago but never heard back from the developer

The plugin itself is great and has pretty much all the features you need. I am giving 3 stars because of the crash glitch that has been mentioned in the ratings quiet a few times. If someone uses an auto clicker to spam on the sort items or the current listings button the tps go down immensely. Unfortunately, there is no GitHub repo linked to this project so there is no way to fork it and fix it yourself. Really unfortunate downside on this itself great plugin. Would definitely give 5 stars if this glitch wasn't a thing. Hope this will be fixed anytime soon.

What is problem?

Sadly I can not recommend this plugin for big servers. I use it myself for almost two years but currently looking for a replacement. The reason is that it destroys server performance. It builds the whole menu and pagination in the main thread and when somebody has auction menu open, it simply overloads the server. I used a profiler and noticed that AuctionHouse takes 47% of the tick time (!!!).
ActiveListingsMenu.build and ActiveListingsMenu.paginate both call Listings.getFilteredListings which is completely non-optimized loop that goes through the ALL listings (even non-existent because plugin has history feature).
That totally should be done asynchronously, there is no reason to do that (and many other things) in the main thread. You can gather that data async and only use the main thread to build an inventory window.
I personally could take my time to improve this plugin and I already suggested a year ago to make this plugin open-source so community can contribute. Sadly it's not an option for the author.
TLDR: plugin destroys TPS because it does everything in the main thread.

as I have already posted 2 times in the discussion the problem is that the owner of the plugin is not responding if you are on 1.16.5 - 1.17.1 this is consuming 3% - 6% of your CPU and even essentials which is bigger than it does not consume that much so I do not recommend it so you will lose performance on your server.

Does not have too many features, like discord bot support and categories but it does the job. The plugin does not however work on 1.16 or previous.

Thanks for maintaining this amazing resource, Quite sad that impatient monkeys like Jedislayer19 is spamming negative reviews to every single plugin because he thinks a developer that maintains a free plugin is required to update it in time. I was surprised to see all the negative reviews. I have been using this plugin for a while. The author has always fixed any issues I've reported, and hasn't ignored me. I do not get any of those exception errors or weird msg these 1 star reviewer are getting. And the author has been nothing but very nice to me. This plugin doesn't lag my server either, doesn't show up in timings a an issue, has no dupe issues, and my players are constantly using it because it works. All the other auction house plugins we've had before this one were rather disappointing and the devs disappeared. So far, this has solved all my AH problems and meets my requirements for a marketplace plugin. These negative reviews below mine read like some salty inpatient people who don't know how to configure a plugin and are now complaining about the consequences.

You can see there that AuctionHouse is taking up 200% of the tick, which is just unbelievable.

Don't get this. Spend the money to get a premium plugin. 25% of tick due to connection handlers from the plugin.

Great plugin my players enjoy to use.
But why three stars? As the review before me mentioned, at the current state of the plugin, my lang file will be reset with every server restart. I am not entirely sure, what is the cause for this, but i guess umlauts (ä, ö, ü) cause this issue for me.
If you only need default language, see this review as five stars.

Please, create a lang file, with every update my translations disappear and you can't copy-paste your old config into the new config.yml, it's annoying. Overall, pretty good plugin ✓

Good plugin, mainly it's free. The author corrects the error as soon as possible. But I'm bothered by frequent updates to the language file, so if I have my own translation, I have to look for what's changed with almost every update.

Unsure if new features are sort of hidden in update notes. I just updated for 1.16.2 support, didn't expect any changes but now I see chat broadcasts that weren't there before. Glancing (only quickly) at updates, I don't see this added -shrugs- but I know I miss that kind of minor stuff when reading updates. Its a pretty neat addition, it just needs a little bit of anti-spam protection for it.

Overall, plugin works great and I've never had issues with it. I've never, and I mean never, had to do anything to this plugin once I put it on the server. It just works.

Good plugin but i've tried it on a 1.16.1 server with an average of 50 - 100 players and it causes a bit of lag ( i can see in timings), there's something to do with chunks...if you want i can give you my timings report.

Honestly changing terminology of Black List and White List really put the nail in the coffin for this one.

Great plugin works fine, but im trying to blacklist certain custom model data and I've had no reply in a week from the developer. such a shame this review would of been excellent if he had a dev discord or actually answered the conversations!

Great AuctionHouse plugin, very simple to use and to configure, and it has a lot of features while being light. It even supports custom NBT tags, which not all auction houses plugins supports, and was a requirement for me. The only problem is that it lacks a developer API.

The plugin is not optimized not gonna lie, also the delay between each unclaimed check is not totally configurable, there's a maximum.

The AuctionHouse plugin does exactly as it advertises, players can post their items up for sale. All the messages are also configurable. There has never been any issues with this plugin. Great work!

When I try and set a limit (via permission nodes) for how many auctions a player can make, it doesn't play into effect. They can auction as many items as they like and I don't want this.

Very well done plugin. The author has done a fantastic job making this plugin work seamlessly, and almost no configuration is needed. The added DiscordSRV support is a very nice touch. This plugin adds a great mixture of player interaction on my server! Well done.

Someone help om trying to set number of sell items per player if they have a certain rank I am using luck perms and I have tried the commands but it still isn't working

For some reason this doesn't work on CraftBukkit (I'm using it or PerWorldPlugins since PWP only works on Bukkit). I have AConomy and Vault installed but it just doesn't work for me. I do /ah help and it just sends the message /ah help back at me. Tried just doing /ah as well .On my server I also get a bunch of Bungee errors saying it can't load net.bungee.chat or whatever. I can't get the error at the moment. If anyone knows how to fix this help would be much appreciated.

A fantastic plugin that works great. The players love it and so do the admins. As an owner I say worth having on your servers.

We LOVE this plugin! It is so excellent! Works amazingly. I do have a question about a possible glitch, very very rarely a player will not be able to click on something in /ah. It will give a village sound. We have noticed that players must relog completely on their MC account. Have you heard of this happening?

Not working, when you are writing /ah nothing happens. It shows only /ah help. When you write that, nothing happens.

Awesome plugin. After I updated to 2.0.2 it wiped all the items in the auction house but after I upload the backup of the "auctions.db" and "auctions.bak" nothing changes and the auctionhouse is still empty.

Great Plugin, Does everything it says it does. I had 1 or 2 issues however they im pretty sure they were to do with my server instead of the plugin. I would recommend this plugin.

It's not a bad plugin, but you should rename it if its possible. Auction is event in which a person offers an item and others bid on it. Not straight up selling the item like in your plugin.

Was an amazing AuctionHouse revive that had great development. Not only the author had a frequent update schedule that patched many issues and added new ones - he did this for FREE.

Sounds like a great plugin? It definitely was, and appreciated by thousands. Yet one-star reviewers sink yet another great plugin when they're so stubborn to use it on a development version and think it's suitable for a production server, not even thinking about backups due to instability. No wonder we see premium plugins taking over because developers are hit with one star reviews and don't want to provide a free plugin to assholes.

I usually don't do reviews, but when I heard the developer stopped because of bad reviews, I had to make a review. This plugin is great, works as it should and is absolutely worth 5 stars. It is a shame this plugin isn't getting any more updates.

After all these years of terrible auction/market plugins finally someone who has been active, worked hard on it, gave fantastic support and deserves 5 stars. I was surprised how cheap this product was. Only to find out now that some low life twat has ruined it for everybody with their fake-review rating. Great plugin, worth the money.

I've been using this plugin since it was released. The author has always been incredibly active with resolving issues and making improvements to the plugin. If this plugin is made premium, I'd buy in a heart beat. We would love if you can reconsider keeping this resource active, but as a premium one. Your time and development deserves to be treated.

Very highly customiseable plugin with alot possibilities.
None bugs are known by my side.

The Plugin works very stable on 1.13.2 and 1.14.2.
A improvement could be more options for the config.yml (slots of inv items, more settings, etc..)

Although there's just one minor issue that might give users a negative view on this resource, and that's the .json format you chose as a way of customizing the GUI.

Is there a way for you to update the plugin with a .yml localization file instead? It would make it way easier for us to design the GUI the way each server wants it to look like.

As of right now, you're limiting our creativity by forcing us to use the same top and bottom lores for every single item inside the GUI by having this inside of the .json file:

Just change the way of changing the GUI style by replacing the .json with .yml and have each message support multi-lines with placeholders instead of setting one line per line of lore in the .json file. Do also allow multi-lines for in-game chat messages aswell so we can add spacing above and under the message.

Amazing plugin! Author is responsive and quickly fixes bugs. Ran into a few problems the other day with crafting, and despite his busy schedule, the author was on top of the issue and quickly resolved the problems.

On the plugin itself, it's a great replacement for the old AuctionHouse plugin. Runs smoothly, allows for lots of configuration, and ultimately I cannot find a resource better than it! And best of all, it's free! :D

The plugin is not really stable, but works fine and it's the best on spigot as far as I know. Just one complain, instead of making the items in the blacklist have that strange and useless format "item: minecraft:bedrock", can you please switch to simply the material id? For example " '0': BEDROCK ", and in my opinion the blacklist should be put in a separate file.

Your plugin is actually the best, but there is one bug due to which the auction system is deteriorating. The bug is that if the first player put a thing up for auction and left the server, the second player buys his thing and gets it, but the first player does not get money for it, since it is offline, but who bought it this thing money was withdrawn from him, and the one who sold this thing gave him no money as he is offline. I hope you understand me and fix this bug soon. If you correct this bug I will put a rating of 5 stars.

Really nice plugin, can you make a command less version?, so that an "OP / Admin" can put a block as an Auction House where the players interact.

Is realy good plugin but on my server 1.13.1 dont works at start work fine but on restart stop workin anymore... drop console java error.

Seems like it's working so far so that's a plus, but I'd like to see a force expire feature and permissions to give different groups the ability to list more items! I will up the rating if these are added :D
