There's a glitch were it skips not a "day" but "days", my server is sitting at day 5000 after being open a day, i left a ticket in discord and it wasnt answered.

Does what it needs to and the buff system is a nice bonus. I set it to use regeneration as a buff and opted not to use a debuff since it can be more of an annoyance when there's only one or two people online and neither want to sleep.

It is easier to get support on Discord but your issue is caused by the latest version of GSit (I believe their last major release was a breaking one for dependant plugins). Very soon, BetterSleeping v4 will release which is compatible with GSit's latest update again.

Thanks for your epic 5 stars!! While you are absolutely right, we do have some fancy features. Such as smoothly skipping the night, (de)buffs, messages about the sleeping status, (soon) being able to sleep by command. Hopefully that's enough to make some people happy!

Incredible plugin. I was using Harbor before for a similar smooth night skipping feature, but it didn't have integration with Gsit. Vallas, the creator, responded to my requests in less than a minute on the discord; I wish all plugin authors were as quick to respond as he is. He also added the feature I requested (something rare) in less than a week. Would give 10/10 if I could.

I like it. It allows me to encourage people to sleep on a halfway regular basis through a nice reward/punish system.

Downside/Suggestion - The timer in sleeping_settings.yml doesn't reset when an additional player goes into their bed. The current system seems to start counting only from the first player, which makes the race to get into bed for other players feel not right. Or maybe just add a setting so we can choose "first" or "last" for the start point of the timer.

If you have any questions or need help, the developer is on their Discord by your side, trying their best to fix the issues.

Personally, I now prefer the Pro version because of the interchangeable prefix, but for regular users the free plugin is more than enough.
You can configure the plugin completely according to your wishes.

I so much wanted to like this plugin but I have found other plugins that do the same thing and are not restrictive. Since you cannot customise the prefix and I have no interest in an outdated plugin I will have to rate this only one star because it is useless. Also, the author claims to be nice but if you read his responses he comes off disingenuous and actually seems pretty mean sometimes in my opinion.

EDIT: If this review makes anyone doubt our integrity, feel free to join our Discord server and see how we handle support. The one star reviews are merely about the prefix not being customisable in the free version and have nothing to do with the way we treat our users.

Sad to hear that, feel free to use another plugin as you like. I have only been mean to people on purpose twice: one was acting very entitled and the other's name was literally 'VallasIsGay' and called me a douchebag. English is not my native language so I'm sorry if I come across that way sometimes, my intentions are good though. Not to mention that I and two great people provide support on Discord, where we always help people (even if they're new and don't know how to access config files yet etc). So I'd like to think we're pretty nice. Please do PM me if you want to reply to this, as being called mean and disingenuous is the opposite of what I want to achieve.
As for the prefix, I am not sorry as this change made the plugin grow a lot, which is what I am trying to achieve.

How many times are you going to respond to someone complaining about locking prefix customization behind a paywall before you realize it was a bad idea? Honestly, great work with the plugin but all that hard work is being crapped on by charging for a feature that was previously free. This was my go to plugin for enhancing vanilla sleeping in Minecraft but because of the recent updates it has lead me to search for an alternative. Lo and behold I found one, rather quickly. The name of the plugin is Harbor and it does what this plugin does but without charging for basic customization... and that was only the first result of many that came up. There are even datapacks that accomplish the same thing without the fuss. So in my opinion, if this is the way you are going to update your plugins in the future then please just stop altogether. Do something else with your time. If support is what you truly need there are better ways of garnering that. Come up with new features or plugins and charge for that instead. This is not how you do it.

Tired of waiting for every player of the server to go to sleep, then this plugin is the solution, not only that you can incentivize your players to go to sleep by giving them buffs. Did I say that this plugin is also fully customizable?

You can also use v2, which has this feature for free. And I even added a feature in v3 to shorten the prefix. Or even better, the source code is publicly available so find yourself a dev to change the prefix for you.
This is the first time (and very likely the last time) I'll be insulting a user but your ungrateful attitude is a bit of a joke too.

Any idea how much time I have put into this? And that while in university? I provide all this for free, with pretty much 24/7 support thanks to some very nice people.

I hope you see the stupidity in your comment. It's like giving a bad review to a free server host because they only allow custom jars for paying users. It simply makes no sense.

Thank you for your review! Changing the prefix is possible in the earlier versions (v2.6.2 and below) and in the premium version. Alternatively, you can make the change in the source code from GitHub and recompile.

For an official statement regarding the removal of the prefix option, consider my explanation below:

I understand your need for a custom prefix, so I'm sorry it is no longer available in the free version.
That option was added in an early version of BetterSleeping. But I regretted that feature almost instantly as it did not spread the word of this plugin. So when rewriting the plugin from scratch, I decided to remove it from future builds.

While finishing up the update, I asked myself: Why not create a premium plugin to support the time I put into this? When drafting the concept, I thought of this: These users would be paying, they should have access to full customisability so I re-added the prefix option for them along with GUIs.

My philosophy is that with the split of free (no custom prefix) and premium (custom prefix), everyone would contribute to BetterSleeping's future. The free users would spread the word, and the premium users provide a one time monetary aid that one day could lead to a BetterSleeping website, server (or something else cool).

I really hope you do understand. I do provide free lifetime upgrades to premium for people that are helpful on the Discord server and/or do beta testing, but that is at my discretion and may take a while.
Another free option you have, is remaining on v2.6.2. I don't see a direct reason for that version to break in Minecraft 1.16 so that should be a safe bet for now (and I still provide support for v2!). In case it would break, I would see what I can do to fix it.
Buying the premium version is an option of course but I will never force that on users. So I really do hope the free alternatives can satisfy you.

Works really well and lots of customization options. Dev is replies quickly and is willing to listen. The players love the buffs they get for sleeping. The new option to see the night go faster instead of skipping instantly is really cool!

Excellent plugin. Developer is very responsive on his discord and always tries their best to fix things. Plugin works extremely well and is exactly what you need if you are struggling to get everyone to sleep at once.
You can configure the plugin in many ways including setting the exact percentage of players that need to sleep. This means it even scales depending on the amount of online players. 100% recommend this plugin.
Even after 22.000 downloads and no donations he keeps this plugin free and provides free support while he is in university. If you use this plugin and like it, consider donating to the creator!

I'd be happy to help if you send a PM, go to the discussion tab or to our Discord server. I can't do much more than point you in the right direction here (as you cannot reply here). If you want to sleep, you should negate (take away) these permissions from everyone that should be able to sleep. If that does not work, go to config.yml -> bypass settings -> enable_bypass_permissions and set it to false.

Awesome stuff. I especially like the option to buff after sleeping. Unfortunately, I'm a big noob in coding or editing json files and was wondering how you add negative commands to the ops file. I want my ops to be able to sleep and it seems very possible, I'm just unaware how you actually write down the negative commands in the file. Obviously, just slapping the commands willy nilly in there don't work :P. Thanks for your hard work!

You would need a permission management plugin (like PermissionsEx for example) and then use the command to add a permission to a player and add -bettersleeping.bypass and -essentials.sleepingignored. Then you're set!

We tried a lot different sleeping plugins, but this here is just working, more features than ever dreamed and nicely supported. I stumbled also over the problem, that OPs have automatically bypass permission. An additional boolean in the config for that would be cool.

I deleted my earlier response as multiple users have verified that this fix works: give negative permissions -bettersleeping.bypass and -essentials.sleepingignored to all OP players. Then they will be able to sleep. Once again, thank you for your review!!
